Congratulations. Is there a average for dowry the wife's family expects?
Its depend on the region. Southern in Mekong Delta they expected quite lots. Central and Northern are traditional basic. And i think still everywhere nowadays, family and parent will arrange properly with understanding depend on both family's condition life. Same as my wife's parent they didnt ask anything. And my family still do traditional dowry and not be asked for anything. The culture still in Vietnamese people life but also change depend on person and people thought and practical.

@@Mike-tw5eq is that a marriage or purchasing good. I dont want to break your friend's marriage but have to answer that it is not true. Not the culture. Its just a deal with understand in both family. Not for ask even people still know or ask older people about fair. By the way, there are some very rich parent give their children who is married lots of money, gold and real estate, but for the couple to start a new life. Not the dowry with that big amount of money. But if your friend happy with that, let it be. Dont ruin their marriage with this message. Whatever happend later is what he will know. You cant change it now.

Hue Local Food is well known for Royal cuisine's influenced. During King Nguyen's Dynasty, the King is served with created chef. To please the King, Royal chef cooked more than 30 dishes each meal for the King to taste a d it's not repeat twice in a year. So plenty different dishes was cooked. And nowadays local people keep that following recipes to cook many different food in Hue. This top 5 is just small amount of food in Hue for food lover to taste the best. But still more to explore.
