This is BS. It does not create any files. no hdr file, no rom file. Tries it in 3 different dirs, and as admin. Does nothing.

when using a the comands with CMD run as adminstrator, in the TEMP folder the hdr and sys fuiles are not being created? why is that?

Will this method also work on DELL XPS 15 L502X (2011 model) ? I have black screen issue (not even the Dell logo appears on boot & the screen is completely black but fan , all leds & keyboard backlight is working). After done all troubleshooting steps, i am sure that it's Bios get corrupted. I want to re-flash the BIOS but can't access the BIOS due to blank screen issue. Can you please help me for my Dell model. Through cmd, after extracting the .hdr & .rom files from downloaded bios file (version A12 June 2020), what rename should I do to these extracted files for my particular Dell model (XPS 15 L502x)? [Actually, I read in some other articals that we have to rename these extracted .rom & .hdr files. For eg. in case of Dell Vostro 3700, we have to rename these files to winery70 .hdr & winrey70 .rom (but it's so different from it's actual model number). So what about other Dell models, how can we find what is correct rename ? ]

Hello, I invited a problem by updating my bios today on dell 7559 and now I am unable to turn on my laptop. If I press the on key, only the keyboard light flashes. I tried to reinstall the main battery and ram but nothing happen. Actually by bios update stopped in the middle and I had to restart my laptop not I am in deep trouble, can you please suggest what should I do to make it work again. I see nothing when I turn it on, no F2 or F12. Please help !!!

A 6-year late comment, I know... but today, after trying to update the BIOS from an old N5010 the battery died... and I thought I´ve bricked my notebook. But fortunately I found this video after some googling and it worked like a charm! I really appreciate your help, sir! Kudos from Brazil!
