I would love to try this. But my grandkids are ages 4-8 so I wish I had a pattern for their sizes ❤
Thank you for the excellent tutorial I have crocheted a lovely hat and mittens for my best friends grandson and they look lovely 😊
Thank you for sharing such a clear tutorial! Confident I can have a go at this myself. Just need to buy some shank buttons...
Great tutorial! This is the first hat I’ve ever made! It fits my baby well and is big enough for her to grow into it some as well. I added a Pom-pom to the top!
Muchas Gracias me gusta tu vídeo
Thank you for this easy tutorial. I made a hat for my baby but now I'm wondering what should I do differently to make this an adult size so I can match with her.
but how much yarn do we need?
That depends on the size of your finished afghan. Using the suggested yarn about 12 skeins for a baby blanket, 16 skeins for a lapghan, 20 for a small afghan. Each skein has 109 yards/100 meters
Thank you so much ❤
This was very helpful, thank you! :D
Just finished 3 mo bennie with your great video. I would like to make same thing using cotton yarn for summer. What size needle and how many rounds for 3. Mo old your videos are great! Hope you get this
Did you say 5.5 hook for 3 mo old ? Love your video!
Having been a knitter for decades, I am new to crochet. I never saw anyone do it either, so did not pick up even simple directions. Thanks for clearing up a problem I have with the very first row! I was actually crocheting into the wrong place! Now I've got it.
I’m so glad it was helpful for you!
Gorgeous
Hi Kara. I hope you're still available to answer a question! I want to attach a shank style button to a finished project and I want the button NOT to turn or twist after it's attached. It's an eye for an animal, so the access to where I'll need to attach it isn't as simple as turning over a garment. My challenge is to have it stay as I will sew it -- do you think if I just make the stitches as tight as possible that that will do it? I had previously sewn it in, but it's much too loose so need to find a Plan B. Coming across your idea just now is filling me with cautious optimism. Any comment would be most welcome. Thanks a lot, Debbi in Lake Oswego OR
I will go home and check my last projects made with this method to make sure, but I do make the stitches pretty tight and I don’t think there was much twisting. Stay tuned!
@@kbcrochet8315 Holy Moly was that EVER a quick reply! Thank you so much for caring! :)
So glad I found these tutorials. I'm so excited to finish and give to my grandson. Thank you for your pleasant & relaxational teaching. 🩵
You are so welcome! I’m glad they work for you!
thank you!! is video has helped me understand colour switching so much <3333
Just found your channel I have a question can you use a number 4yarn for these gloves love them
Yes, you can, but you will need to crochet them holding 2 strands of yarn together.
Don’t mind this I’m just using this to save my progress: 20:45 Pattern: Chain 16 with A 1, single crochet 15 Single 6 normal, 1 change with B1, one change with A2, single crochet 7 Single 5, 1 change with B1, 2 crochet, 1 change with A1, crochet 6 Crochet 4, 1 change with B1, crochet 4, 1 change with A2, crochet 5

its perfect! thank you so much!😃👏
how many grams of yarn did u need for this?
I use scraps, so I have never really measured. It will also depend on what weight of yarn you use. I’m going to make a really loose guess of about 15 g of worsted/aran per square.
@@kbcrochet8315 thank you so much!
I found your untested adult pattern. When I was reading through it, it wasn't making much sense. Then I found these videos. And now it all makes sense. Lol. I am about to start on one but increase a little. I wear a larger than mens xl in clothes and I want my robe to be oversized. I have 4 of the huge lion brand I wanna make a blankie. I hope it's enough. So I will be watching this playlist over and over trying to make this robe. Thank you so much!!!!
Feel free to reach out if you have questions. I’ve heard that they work up very oversized. I still haven’t had a chance to test them, but I’m starting to work through the untested sizes this year.
@@kbcrochet8315 thanks for the reply. That's awesome to hear. I've started on mine but only have about 15 rows done. But I want mine all the way to the floor and I'm 5'9. Lol I've got a lot of crocheting to do. I'm trying to finish a blanket I'm working on as well. I have about 5 skeins left to finish that off.
Thank you very sweetly explained
I like your your wprk Thank you
It’s really hard to tell what you’re doing as a beginner.
Hello! This is a bit of a more difficult pattern because of the yarn. I do have several beginner patterns on my channel that you may have an easier time with.
At about 1:50 you say "repeat that..." By "that" do you mean putting two double crochet stitches into each of the 15 stitches we counted back?
That is a really good catch! I was not clear, but I meant repeat the same steps for the double crochet. I don’t count my turning chain as a stitch (I get straighter edges with my tension). It should be one double crochet in each of the next stitches. Until you have 32 total double crochets (not counting your turning chain)
When you say in the beginning that you should have 66 double crochets, are you including the chain up at the beginning in that count? Or would the chain up be 67?
I don’t count my starting chain as a stitch in most of my patterns, I must have forgotten to say so in this pattern. Sorry!
@@kbcrochet8315 thank you for your reply. So that first round will include the chain up plus 66 double crochet stitches. I think you did say maybe but I wasn't clear.
@@aprilhumphrey1769 yes, that’s correct
Thanks for the tutorial
You’re welcome!
What is the diameter of this project with your current gaude
OMG thank you sooo so so much for the explanation of the growth rounds! I’ve been following videos and can make a hat but I didn’t understand what I was doing outside of increasing the size. Thank you again 🙌🏻
Till 12th round
Ma'am should I take singal crochet till the end
Thanks Ma'am
From 6th step can I take double crochet or singal
The pattern is all double crochets in American terms. You could do singles, but you will need to add more rows to get the correct hat height
Ma'am my edges are spreading,it's not coming like you hat, how's that can you tell
@@yogitayadav6902 did you continue doing increases? It will look like it is continuing to spread for a few more rows, then it will start to take a hat shape.
Ok, thanks
You may need to do more rounds to get the correct hat height if you do singles, but you can continue the same until the hat is complete
Cannot find your headband tutorial?
I cannot find your head band tutorial is there one?
Thanks for your comment, it made me realize that the headband video was never uploaded. I lost several videos a few years ago and thought I had gotten most of them re-done. I am working on editing this one and will post it soon!
How does the sizing adjust for child to adult with this pattern?
Because our heads don’t grow a lot between adult and child sizes, this hat will work for most kids and adults.
This is so adorable 😍
Sehr schönes Herz❤
Sehr schön,das mache ich auch mal
Found you from your post in CBG. Nice videos! New sub
Thank you! Returned the sub!
Excellent directions! Thank you so much! What should be the diameter and height on this hat? Also, so you have any tutorials for a baby sweater that matches this hat?
Hi Ashley! Sorry for the delayed response. The diameter for this hat should be 14-16 inches. I don’t currently have a matching sweater pattern, but will put that on my list of ideas! Thanks!
Por favor pongale subtitulos en español, está muy bonito, pero no se entiende☹
I'm following and loving the outcome so far. However, for my 4 year old, I'm using a N hook.
How would this translate to a bigger size, like a throw size ?
I have done the hood 3 x off pattern. Great job but can you relook are this hood part of patterns numbers are off bad. Thank you and stand by for my finish bath robe.
I will take a look at it! Thanks for letting me know. I can’t wait to see the finished robe!
Que bello
This needs to be done #4 yarn to hard to see thread
do i follow 1 double crochet and then 2 double crochet in 5th line??
I’m finally making this. It’s coming out great and it’s easy to follow!
