Yeah Rusty used delayed fuses. You can imagine ‘wow, that was a close… BOOM!’ 😂

Well you can turn down the size of the radar cross section of the aircraft so essentially you can except these models have it wrong. I've flown this mod and flown directly in front of enemies and they care that I'm there and don't even see me

Yeah I thought the radar cross section was simulated as a ball. Each aircraft having a different sized ball. I’m sure I saw a diagram somewhere. Now I’m sure thats happened to be before where they just don’t see me, but on this mission they were kicking my butt. As I said in the video. That was at least my 10th try and they were firing on me from miles out on BVR and missiles were tracking me. That’s why I went sneaky round the hills in the end.

It’s incredible isn’t it!? I had, what I thought, was something loose in it the other day. Loud knocking noise. Had it apart (it’s very cool in there) and tightened every nut but couldn’t find it. Turned out that the force of it had worked the screws loose in my extension bar. Luckily I found it before it broke.

@ awe well so far mines running smooth still getting used to everything and kind messing with the setting in the cockpit app and I will admit AAR as became so easy

@ which force feedback mode u use the most or do u switch with each plane?

@PatrickDixon-cu2gr For the F-16 I use their F-16 profile. For everything else I have one that does the lot. One with no spring in it.

I think you may have misunderstood what I was saying before you grabbed your pitchfork my friend. The MIG-29, Su-27 & SU-33 all identify as a MIG-29 on the RWR. I believe because they all share hardware and have a similar radar signature. So until I get eyes on it all I can do is assume it’s a MIG-29 cos that’s what it identifies as.

@@rossy_gee It's a button on the hotas (depress on the radar cursor controller) It is also used to align the hmd

Yeah. All the enemy were AI in this one.

Yeah it was stuck on in the first version of the chinook. It’s been changed since. Second button from the right at the bottom of the comms nobs. Push it in and it goes away.

@rossy_gee it’s in the user files section on the DCS website. One of the DCS updates broke something in the mission. I’ve fixed it and will upload it shortly. Make sure to download mission v2.6 or later. Cheers!

It’s so good. How you mounting it? I’m using my old TM Warthog stick with a 20mm extension on it and it’s still powerful. Make sure you take out the curves on your axis in game or it makes the trim weird. Put the curves back in on the Moza software instead. Although, the last update I saw something about a fix for it.

@@rossy_gee I order next level racing chair I’m gonna mount it too, and I’m gonna use my old TM stick. Did u have any trouble using ur old stick like mapping buttons and axis? And I’ve heard the TM stick is a lot heavier than Moza’s version, does it seem to affect ur flying being heavier?

@PatrickDixon-cu2gr That’s gonna be cool. Tiddles in our Discord has it mounted to his chair and says it’s like a butt kicker. No issues as such. I did lose my bindings annoyingly. I even saved them before cos they’re the same ID but it wouldn’t load them back in. You can calibrate it in the software to account for the weight and extensions. Join the Discord. A couple of us have got them if you need any help with it.

Do you mean where it tracks the object and holds the TAD on it? In the controls there’s two you need. One to select and one to release. They’re both labelled as ‘LHG Image Track’ the IAT selects and the OFS one deselects

No. The trimmer was working but the reset wasn’t. It was kinda like the Apache. I’d just have to trim it back to where it was.

I didn’t really notice that much of a difference tbh. It was a bit smoother taking off and landing using BOB. Need to spend more time with the systems off to see really. Combined arms is an untapped resource for those guys. They could make that side of it so much fun. I’ve done a few Sunday missions with the Discord guys that once they’re dead they can control the CA and it’s quite a lot of fun. Just a bit clunky. I spend a lot of time away in hotels for work and I’d love to take part more on my laptop and combined arms could be a great place to play.

I can’t wait for them to finish it. It’s a hell of a module. We had a little update a few days ago that made it a bit better.
