10 is way better than 6. I have recently got the F-15E which has got loads of pylons too but haven’t even tried to fly it yet. That was my reasoning too.

Well last sunday I was out. Been playing Ground Branch and Ghost Recon. CEX is offering me a great price on 4090 .

You talking about the Thrustmaster Warthog stick? If so, I have recently upgraded to the moza force feedback base. It’s a bit of a game changer. But before that I used to just trim all the time so it sat in the middle. It’d make my feeble arms ache otherwise. 😂

That is pricey. I would say it’s totally worth it. Especially for the Helicopters. Great in the A-10 too. You can feel the bombs drop off the pylons. The brrrrts shake the stick. It is very cool. Treat yourself 😉

Weeeeelll. I got chatGPT to write me a lua script based on the unit name etc but it was buggy as hell so to get the video done I just programmed triggers and used a bit of artistic licence. Originally it was gonna be a random drop of 7 vehicles in random places in the town and the drone was gonna report them. That way it would be different every time. Turns out that’s beyond mine (and ChatGPTs) skills.

Literally picked up VR yesterday. Had a 10 min flight in it last night and it’s as amazing as everyone has been saying for the last year!

🤣 Whoops. I just wish there was a slightly better warning for the brakes being out. Maybe I need to start doing pre-flight checklists but that seems a bit too sensible for me. I was just running mil power. Good to know though. I had no idea what speed was best.

Yeah I think I get it. I’ve never got how to land in the f-16. Some are great and some are awful. I’ll give that a try on the next one. Just don’t fly it much or when I do it’s always in a server and I almost never come back 😂

@@rossy_gee I get you lol, servers can be hectic. Just today when I was testing force sensing control, I had her trimmed on-speed and it was literally a case of only touching the throttle and roll axis. When you get closer to the runway you can throttle up so the flight path marker gets closer to the horizon, thats pretty much how you flare. But yeah, really entertaining video. You know how to make DCS fun :)

That makes a lot of sense. I’ll try it next time I’m on. Thank you for that. There’s no point me being too milsim. For one I don’t know what I’m doing and for two there are so many of those already. I try and make the videos and the server more of a hang out.

@@rossy_gee Yeah man, DCS is such a vast simulator and I always tell people its not about how good of an armchair pilot you are... its about what fulfills you and enables you to get the most enjoyment out of DCS

It’s called Digital Combat Simulator. It’s a PC game. Base game is free and that comes with some planes. Each plane costs about the price of a regular game.

I haven’t tested it yet but the miz file I uploaded I changed it to the K-135 non MPRS version. Hopefully that’ll work for everyone now. Shame I didn’t get to do it in the video.

I’m the wrong person to ask because clearly I’m obsessed with it! 🤣 Yeah it’s worth doing and yeah it’s a lot more complicated. You’re not gonna turn it on day one and be killing people right off the bat. It takes weeks to get a player vs player kill. But that is where the fun is. You know what every button and switch does and it’s such an accomplishment. Best to pick one aircraft and just learn that one. Be patient. Ask questions and you’ll be amazing. You would need at least a joystick and throttle. You can get them super cheap on marketplace. Bare minimum really. Head tracking too but you can use a webcam for that. I’d say go for it. When you’ve got it join the discord and we’ll answer any questions you have.

I've got 400 hrs in DCS now and I still love it. Not gonna lie there is a big learning curve but its so fun once you know what you're doing. I've been teaching a friend off and on for 3 or 4 weeks now and he can start his f16 cold and dark, take off and land. Still showing him navigation and weapons. If you enjoy flight, get a cheap hotas and watch a few tutor8als, its completely worth it.

It’s called Digital Combat Simulator. The base game is free but the modules are the price of a game. People tend to pick one and stick with it. All the buttons are like for like so it can take years to get really good with them. When you start flying make sure you join the discord and come fly with us 🤘

I don’t think you need to spend 10k. The only essentials are really a HOTAS with pedals. But you will need a pc and a mid range one at least.

Thanks my man but it was done at the time. I cut it in the edit cos it was boring. He read it. Then I read it. Then I read it again as I typed it in. It was a minute and a half of numbers and letters that meant nothing to anyone but us. I was gonna cut one more lot out but then it didn’t make any sense.
