Did you ever do a review on your 44G2's. What do you think of them?
Did you ever do a review on your 44G2's. What do you think of them?
I do not have an l1 pro 8 right now because I recently bought one, exchanged it, tried a second one and same issue. The middle tier does not work. No sound from top speakers. I removed middle tier and connected bottom to top and it works great. Maybe my issue would have corrected with the spacer. Won't know now because I have returned them both. I have read many issues with the pro 8 and 16 and am wondering if they all stem from the connections on the middle tier? Maybe my issue stemmed from the wobbly connection also!
Thank you so much 👍👍👍
BOSE 10000000%
Hi bro i need your help,i want to add sub2 to my bose l1 pro16 ,i donk know if my bose l1 pro has submatch in
Great job doing the wedding, but I believe the lights were too much in the faces of the guest, other than that great great job!
Thanks for the video! Have you tried the newer Yamaha Stagepas 1k mkii? Interested in the portability and long term reliability…
I reached out to Dave and purchased through his preferred method which is Etsy. Took about two weeks to arrive and just installed on my Bose L1 Pro 8. Definitely stabilizes this unit quite a bit. Highly recommend! Thanks JPW Pro for the information and videos!
With this setting, does the limit light still come on?
Yes, but the company tech said that’s totally fine.

This guy does not know how to use these speakers.....
Thanks for watching, please educate me....
Much appreciated I was about to give up on my cold spark machines.
Glad to help!
💯 AGREE!!! The younger me always wanted a "hyped up" light show... Over the years, I've come to understand that most people DONT CARE!!! As long as the music is fun!!
I literally had this happen to me on Thursday! I was so panicked that I reset my virtual DJ to figure out what it was.
My playlists are actual folders on my harddrive. So if the database has an issue i just pull up the folder directly
Yes, I do that for my regular playlist too. but for my events I create customized playlist for each wedding that I clear after the event. Intros, first dances, cake cutting, must plays etc.
Set your Vdj layout to "performance" and any keystroke commands for options will need a yes verification before applying.
Thanks man!
Good choice of speakers! I have a pair of Maui 28 G3s. If it is a large event I use the pair but spread them fairly far apart as recommended by LD. If smaller room or event I use one column with the two subs fired the same direction. (not cardiod). These speakers are such good quality and loud that I find myself using one column and the two subs most of the time, again depending on size of event or room. I do use a mixer with my controller and add a small amount of equalization from the built in 9 band EQ on the mixer. I find it makes the 28G3s a bit more sonically crisp sounding. However, I cannot put the Main and Sub volume no more than 1' 0 clock. Sound is amazing but gets loud but no distortion. Had instances we were told to turn it down by Venue Manager. Do you use a mixer and added equalization as well? Just wondering because I can't touch those volume levels you are mentioning but I'm adding about 2-5db of equalization. Thanks!
I set the speakers at the levels I stated in the video and then use the gain and mixer EQ to adjust the levels. I currently use the Pioneer DDJ 1000 and DDJ 800.
Safe to travel with on an airplane?
No, I wouldn't recommend that.
Great video. I'm just wondering why you didn't address (what to me seems like) the elephant in the room. The 8-band EQ control and effects of the JBL. I own neither of the two loudspeakers but I've heard that some people simply tweak the output EQ of the JBL to get a better bass response and they describe the sound to be just as good as the Everse 8. Also, to me as a musician, the graphic EQ control alone makes the JBL the best option cause that means I wouldn't need a mixer for EQ cause we all know how awful an un-EQed dynamic mic sounds.
I like to keep things simple and I just use the pre sets on the speaker and then use my mixer to EQ and adjust volume. The JBL does have a great EQ app to control it but again I like to keep it simple and the EV sounds great the way I have it setup vs the JBL.
Wow that is crazy bro!!! That’s one of the reason I don’t like VDJ. It has too many options and settings for things I don’t want or would ever want to use. Also those speakers are so nice and people just abuse them!! Sucks man!!
Yes, but you can actually use different skins that limit the options and make it more straight forward just showing the options you need. Thanks for watching!
What's the correct settings for doing karaoke for the Bose pro 16 for base, trible, reverb and mic, instrument or off.
Not a Karaoke guy, maybe someone else on here can help with that?
That is a freaking weird ass option to put on VDJ!
I agree!
Great idea!
Glad you liked it!
where was this?
It was at the Knights of Columbus in Kankakee, IL They found me via Google search. Interesting place....
The Maui blows Bose away
I wouldn't say blows it away but I do prefer the Maui 28s over the Bose.
Look forward to it!
I totally feel you on the DMX comments....I have never been that into lighting. I just use it to compliment my DJ skills. I bought 16 of the Both IR4 and 12 of the Cans and master slave them so they all look the same. I use the cans to highlight my DJ Booth and equipment and the IR4 for up lights around the room. I use the remote to control them. Usually static color and then a fade or music mode during dancing. Ape Labs are great but too pricy!!!! I had the Ape Can 1.0 and each one took 6 AA Batteries rechargeable. That alone was like $125 just in Batteries. They also looked like Red Bull Cans.
Are those the same as the Rockville uplights?
@@jpwpro No. They are the same ones Rick Webb sells except I get them direct from China so they are way cheaper. But they function and look like Ape Labs rip offs. They do not have the tech for the sound active mode though. They only switch colors.
@@James.KingHTX Oh, ok I will have to check them out. I bought 16 of the Rockville brand (very cheap$) and they are garbage compared to the Ape Labs, 3 of them already don't hold a charge for an entire event.
I like the v shape lens
For the uplighting I actually use the 15degree lens.
That is me. No DMX. F that.
Yes, DMX stands for pain in the a$$ lol
These are great tips!! Thanks!!
I'm glad you found them helpful!

Never had that problem with the L1Pro16s. Had it happen with my Maui 28 G3s this past weekend. I just move the drinks off the speaker to the floor. The guests see that and don't do it again. I've also had photographers put their lenses on my subs, and I ask them to move those as well.
I think the flat surface on the LDs invites the people to plave drinks vs the Bose handle on top.
Are you using the Maui28 G3s? I am thinking of getting them. I am nervous about it being okay for 100 to 200 people without stretching the volume.
Yes, they are my full time speaker for weddings. Check out my video on the settings I use on the 28s it makes a HUGE difference.
Dude your the first RUclips guy in my area 🎉 thanks for the review

Our DJ Drew got a standing O at the end of the night! Great school and staff! No issues at all.
Yass
Thanks for watching!
Got my 28 G3s a couple weeks ago and used them for their first wedding gig last week. Initially I had them dialed in at 1:00 for the main and 2:00 for the sub. Was blinking the "LIMIT" light all night long (which, as an old-school DJ (like you!), always worries me). I'll try to get that main up a bit and see what it does. No clip lights all night for 120-130 people with some pretty heavy-bass music. Instantly noticed that I didn't have to shout at guests or take them somewhere else in order to hear what they were asking me, and I didn't walk out with any ringing ears (like I did every night with my L1Pro16s).
Try 5:00 for the main (almost max) and 2:00 for the sub. Works great for me. Gives you much more headroom on your controller too.
We play in a duo with electric guitars and drum machines, and we play 80 times a year. The column speakers have too wide of dispersion and the stage was too loud the few times I've tried them. We keep the stage volume low and the energy high. We recently bought Bose 812's, pole mounted, 100-degree dispersion, and we could not love them more. They keep the stage volume low and sound truly amazing. We sound better than we ever have, and we've been gigging for 35 years.
Sounds like they are a perfect fit for your gear needs. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks for the tip. What should the setting on a controller or external mixer be on?
I adjust the mixer and each gain until it’s just blinking into the yellow (pioneer 1000). You want to have a clean signal out of your mixer so make sure it’s not in the high yellow or red.
Def wireless remote speaker info. Thx
Coming soon!
Are you able to mount gig bars on this truss?
No idea. I do not use gig bars.
Yes. I have 2. They can mount to truss or on a stand.
I checked and yes you can, the totems come with a screw on post that fits the gig bar.
Thanks everyone for the comments. Please like and subscribe I’d really appreciate it.
Great video!! I’m taking notes
Thanks, glad it was helpful!
Dang this is what I have to do with my RCF speakers and it’s recommended
Game changer!
Completely unrelated story but let me tell you what a disappointment my Ev 50s are compared to Bose like you’ve said in previous videos. Bose is rated 121db I think and the evolve is 126db. Let me tell you how much louder the Bose is with zero clipping and the evolve constantly blinking. They must have greatly exaggerated the SPL of the EV. Cheers
@@chromemusic4401. Im not a fan of the EV 50s at all. I owned a pair for about 2 weeks/4 events and returned them. Tried all different settings and still thought they sucked. No thanks. I do like the battery powered ev reverse thou. Great for cocktail hour, sound great and battery last an entire weekend of events on one charge.
