Yup. I'm not entirely sure of what happened, but my guess is that Nintendo thought the game would do well in other regions, but the aesthetics would hold its potential sales back so they swapped it over to a Yoshi and friends themed game. Everything else is untouched.

I've always had a soft spot for the Conditional Turn-Based Battle (CTB) system from Final Fantasy X. In that system, the turn order is not fixed, combatants can move up or down the initiative order depending on the actions taken, and there are certain abilities (Delay Attack, Delay Buster) that push enemies down the turn order. Atlus could integrate something like that into their next RPG. Hitting a weakness or scoring a critical hit delays that combatant's next turn, but only that combatant. So bullying one enemy in a large mob won't stop the others from taking their turns; you would have to make sure to exploit each enemy's weakness to keep them from acting. Likewise, if one of your party members is getting bodied, it doesn't slow down your entire party.

It's balanced by the fact the AI attacks at random so if you miss you are not necessarily screwed as they won't always use the press turn at their advantage even if they could

Yes sir. I was very interested in it from the initial trailer given how hard it wore its influence on its sleeve. I ended up loving it too, excellent game.

I like much watching Frostii playing the dungeon crawlers he likes much, but I'd love to watch him try also weird old hardcore stuff, idk, like Realms of Arkania Trilogy (Classic versions), Mordor: The Depths of Dejenol, Ishar: Legend of The Fortress, Demise: Rise of the Ku'Tan, The Temple of Elemental Evil, Might & Magic VI: The Mandate of Heaven, perhaps some from the Dungeons & Dragons: Enhanced Classics Bundle, Gateway to the Savage Frontier, some older Wizardry titles, The Bard's Legacy or even Oubliette! [ tbh idk if i'd have the patience, time, discipline, endurance, commitment and masochism to tackle any of these anymore lol ]. I loved Dragon Age: Origins... the last one is a disgrace tbf, wouldn't recommend it even to an enemy. As for newer stuff for rich people with consoles or high-end PCs, if I could afford them/ask for keys like Frostii, I'd totally get Baldur's Gate 3, No Rest for the Wicked, The Thaumaturge, The Inquisitor, King Arthur: Knight's Tale, Wizardry: Proving Grounds of the Mad Overlord 3D remake, Octopath Traveler 1 and 2, Persona 5 Royal, Persona 3 Reload, Dragon Quest I, II & III HD-2D Remake, and Metaphor: ReFantazio... but I'm getting into anime and JRPG territory, which is a whole different chapter also full of gems and masterpieces, like FFTactics. And I didn't even begin with indie, more affordable, recent and/or upcoming gems :( but, just off the top of my head, SKALD: Against the Black Priory, Stoneshard, Lair Of The Leviathan, Drawngeon: Dungeons of Ink and Paper, Cyclopean, Underkeep (I think Frostii might appreciate this one much), Caves of Lore, Kingdom Come: Deliverance II, The Bard's Tale ARPG: Remastered and Resnarkled Edition, The Bard's Tale IV: Director's Cut, Knights in Tight Spaces, Mortal Sin, He is coming, and ofc Demon Lord Reincarnation Gaiden (by the same dev of Dragon Ruins and DemonLord... 🗝 if u get Keys for this one Frostii send me one!!! 🗝).

I will do my best! I'll definitely look into these games, I'm only familiar with Inferno (if you're referring to Beyond the 7th Circle) which I streamed a handful of years ago. I really regret not keeping the VOD but I'm not against playing it again. Thanks for the support!!

I think the JP cast is so good, there's no way I could've skipped it, but yeah I'm not too huge on the ENG dub either. I usually likes Atlus dubs but this one wasn't for me. Take your time, though, this game is so good!!

@@BaDMrFrOsTii the issue with Atlus dubs (and it's a good problem to have) is that they have good English dubs but even better Japanese ones. Like the Persona games have really good English voicework but it's hard to beat a jp cast of nothing but A-listers.

In persona 3 its actually better when you miss your turn because that means you can attack their weakness again and finish with an all out attack
