Imagine going into the series and learning there's like 6-7 seperate series from different places & people, some of which ended, and some of them still running... In ONE franchise... There are 3 Comic series (Archie & IDW/Sega Games), some manga adaptations, 2-3 cartoon series (SonicAM, AoSTH & Underground), -two- *three* animations being Boom, Prime & Sonic X, games scattered all across PC, Dreamcast, Playstation, Xbox, 2/3DS, Gamecube, Gameboy, Switch, Mobile (Android & Apple), Apple Arcade, following ONE CONTINUITY (Except Boom & Chronicles)... ...and all CANONS still make you wish you had a Kronorium to make it fit into _"Everything is Canon, there's like 15 of those"_

At this time, Hyper Knuckles was basically a stand in for Super Knuckles, and only required the use of the Chaos Emeralds rather than the Hyper Emeralds, which I’m not sure even exist in Archie.
