Op 5 is called "Rain" Ed5 is called "Ray of Light" Hence the rain in Op and the clouds receding letting the sunlight in at the end of the Ed They are obviously connected in every way.

The one at the ED5 is not Ed or Al but their father That's his backstory throughout most of Ed5 basically

Bradley was a beast, I agree with all you said but I have to say it, Bradley had plot-armor against Greed xD I believe Bradley in his prime could defeat everyone or almost everyone except Greed, I've read a lot of comments on the topic and never found a reason for Greed or Greedling to not full cover against Bradley, he had enough time to do it the 3 times they fought, specially the last 2 when Greedling was the one starting the fight, but I get it would be very anticlimatic of a fight 😅 Greed was the only hard counter against Bradley and they reduced it to being only strong against normal soldiers 🤣

About foreshadowing in these intro... OP 4 foreshadowing destruction of Ed's portal in ep 63 (penultimate) of course.... But also, who's the very first character shown from the first opening? Young Hohenheim back when he was a slave in Xerxes, something shown around 40ish episodes in!

The fact that you watched the series without watching the OPs and EDs makes me wonder whether back then you have seen the relatively many "post credit scenes" and the few episodes with custom visuals during the EDs (I think you mentioned the updated photo panel from the final episode though)... 3 oct 11 (10 in 2003) is when they burned down their home. About the movies: "The conqueror of Shamballa" is a direct sequel to the 2003 series, acting as a second ending. It's a shame they had to cut so much to fit one movie which ended up being a series of unexplained stuff happening "because yes", as it had some potential. "The sacred star of Milos" is a spin off theoretically from Brotherhood but anyway not written by the manga author and with no impact on the Brotherhood plot.

About the comments you made about Bradley at the beginning. I read many comments in the past which said that the manga author explained that Bradley was 60 and not at his peak anymore, if he was younger he would have been no match for anybody. This said, I find it strange Gred and Greedling didn't just use complete ultimate shield to protect themselves...

Sometimes people refer to it as the "original" anime, but doing that isn't advisable for various reasons, so I would suggest you to say things like "FMA 03", or "the first anime/adaptation" to avoid people comments criticize in the comments. Technically, even just "fullmetal alchemist" would be correct, but it may cause some confusion.
