Hi there! The X will provide forgiveness and performance levels similar to the Darkspeed Max. The biggest difference will be with the LS where you'll deal with much lower spin rates and much less forgiveness than the other models. Hope this helps!

@ I wanted to see the comparison, as the X and DS go much further than the max. So it isn’t really a fair comparison to compare the shortest darkspeed to the oldest clubs when they are made for different purposes. Would you compare 20year old blades with modern game improvement irons and call it a direct comparison?

@@keyboardoracle1044 We compared the Max against the L4V-M as they have the most similar profiles, rather than the X, which has a draw-bias design, and the LS, which benefits from tech that gives it slower spin rates. If it was a pure distance test, of course, we would've gone with the LS model (That's what Lou is fitted for), but the goal here was to compare two similar profiles and see how many improvements we can observe over almost two decades of innovations, not limiting ourselves to distance, but also taking spin rates, launch angles, dispersion, and other factors into account. Hope this helps clear up any confusion.

I have the LTD Max, did you hit it too? Love the club but interested in trying the LS. I have an avg swing speed of around 108, ball speed of around 155+, thinking i can get more distance? I’m 55 and just added the JumboMax grips XL…crazy weird but feel great to my thumbs

Absolutely we did! We just recorded another brand comparison recently (keep an eye out for that!) and we also made sure to adjust the modern driver's adjustable loft sleeve to match the older club's loft angle. You're spot on though. It wouldn't be fair if the lofts weren't the same!

We're definitely not trying to make anyone look bad, especially because we sell both models and the Qi10 is offered in new and used conditions. Very happy to hear about your gains though! The original certainly was, but the one in question here is the re-release that was made in 2021. Easy tip to see the difference. Instead of the blue and red accents in the original M$ design, the new one has only red accents.

But their performances still hold up, so we're thrilled to recommend them even to this day. In the case of P770 vs. P790, we would ague that the P770 is the distance alternative to the P7MB. The P790 will definitely deliver more forgiveness than the 770, no doubt about it.

It's a lightweight driver with a noticeable heel-based center of gravity. This should help limit the slice. The TSR1 draw-biased model, but it's not the attribute that Titleist markets the most when it comes to this model.
