Just stumbled on this channel looking for something totally different. These Mork Borg lore videos are great and an underserved aspect of that game.

tomorrow my level 5 life cleric will die ( details unknown to me as of now ) and will be resurrected by kelemvor clerics. can't wait to continue my path as a kelemvor cleric. will sub to the channel and dive deep into other deities after this one. thanks for the video.

I first heard about Melora through NADDPOD, which consequently got me into DnD.

I have her as a low level Battlemaster (via Tatyana learning fencing from Sergei). She is pure utility in combat and the players seem to like it. She shouts out Rally and Commander's Strike in their native languages (gnomish, elvish, etc) being a noble and book worm. She also helps flank, picks up spent ammo, gives money/jewelry to the poor (again as Tatyana did in I, Strahd) etc. Never steals the spotlight though. Oh, and Ms Klara, the nursemaid from Durst Manor was very much indeed a reincarnation, red hair and all! It's a great lore tie in for when they make the connection.

becoming a drider as a punishment is something relatively new if my memory is correct, in the past editions, it was a reward

so basicaly she's a racial goddess to the Shadar-kai and has dominion over death and destiny, but is she a god in the Forgotten Realms ? isn't she like more like an interloper ? which is why she's a warlock patron option and not a cleric or paladin divinity option how is she basicaly the "grim reaper" figure of D&D when there are already a ton of gods of death, like Kelemvor ? is she technicaly part of the Seldarine ? so many question unanswered about that interesting figure

To be honest i dont know how to role play a clerig of Kelemvor on dnd 2e, because he can use necromancy, at lvl 9 he can even have a dead horse to ride, so i dont know if he hates necromancy or can use it while is not with "bad intentions"

I have a twilight cleric of Selune in my dm's homebrewed dread domain. [This cleric is also the Nightsong, she doesn't know yet but will find out in game]. Her vampire boyfriend is an ex-sharran (I didn’t convert him, he already wasn’t cool with the faith by the time they met), but his twin sister is a very devoted sharran that has also been killing off his previous loves for her own gain.... needless to say she very much wants my character dead

Really enjoying your videos and art and all the inspiration they bring!!! I think I know what main class my next character is gonna be!! I’ll have her be an elderly elf who plays into her reputation of being the neighborhood grandma so no one thinks she’s dangerous. And to the people in her neighborhood, she isn’t, because that’s her territory! But anyone outside of that or someone hurts a person within her turf, it’s a different story all together. Bit like a benevolent crime boss lol She’ll take the pact that lets her be like a rogue and eventually I’ll have her take a level or two in Bard. Her bardic inspiration comes in the form of ‘Back in my day…’ stories and hard candies, and vicious mockery is her other go to! Think I can pitch the idea to my friends of her coming to see their characters as her grandkids and she likes adventuring with them because she feels young again! Lol …And I just realized I basically did a character creation in your comment section. Sorry, I got kinda excited^^;;;;

a monk build would fit the masochist side of the ilmater following the best imo. being someone who you can roleplay as a sufferer but in fights when you have to you use your fists. maybe include that your characters fists get bloodied and bruised after fights and it gives your character a sense of power and faith.

The Rahadin I am currently running is a druid/ranger/paladin multiclass who is stoic, cold and incredibly jaded by his time in Barovia. I added the extra drama of him caring about Sergei as a brother which lead to him deeply resenting Strahd for his actions but ultimately serving him well as he was the only family he had left. He was a child soldier under the dusk elves being of lower status and was exiled at a young age being raised alongside Strahd by Barov. He has deep regret for the slaughter of the Dusk elf women, the little aura of his acting as a reminder of his deeds. My party took great interest in him even though he was very dismissive and hostile. One of my players who plays a half drow even bonded with him a little over the shared cruelty they endured as children and my party is becoming weirdly fond of him. It probably doesn't help that I gave him a cat wild shape I affectionately call Catadin. Through a deal with Strahd to help him defeat Lysaga (she killed his mum), the party is actually currently travelling with Rahadin. He is under orders to return when Lysaga is dead. I am very excited to see how things go. I have a weird love for this twisted man. Whether my party ends up killing him or not, I am happy with the way things have gone.

They were not D&D originals and their front paws are polydactal allowing them to open simple doors and locks

Why is it so hard to find a tempest domain god that isn't a total jerk!? Seems like you have to go to a different pantheon. Forgoten realms has Auril (neutral evil), Talos (chaotic evil), and Umberlee (chaotic evil). Start throwing storms and lightning bolts and you pretty much have to be evil.

I made a campaign idea where a Storm Giant denounces his god causing Talos to take advantage and make a deal. The Storm Giant would become Talos’ chosen who would rebuild the giant empire and in exchange Talos would give him unrivaled power, of course a Storm Giant Tempest Cleric is terrifying

This video has helped me SO MUCH in crafting the Kelemvor character in my BG3 fanfiction (my Oathbreaker paladin eventually catches his attention for reasons, and they strike a deal later in the story when she [REDACTED]. I love writing him so much, and your explanation of him was the springboard for crafting his personality and motivations. He's now one of my favourite characters in the story.

As a surface dweller he knows his knowledge of lolth but she is my goddess and I would do anything for her unless it harms my party or my daughter in my dnd universe Serenity and he has a overbearing mother who also said she wishes he was a girl or a woman since women drow or more powerful as a matriarch society and so on but my drow left thinking his daughter would give everything she wanted and he constantly writes letters to Serenity he also relies on a friend in a unlikely friend of a druegar and so on but Silus just nods I don't say this normally but this man needs to know the weaves she paces * ( i enjoyed this really sorry silus is my dorw sorcerer in my dnd campaign I want him to be cold calculated and smart and agile but Silus does write frequent mails so I am trying to convince my brother to make a underdark style campaign haha also a new user to sorcerer sooo I am gonna try to be super mad like crazed not emotion?

I love that Selune's weapon of choice is a *heavy mace* xD A weapon which sole purpose is not to shed blood, but shatter skulls, cause extremely dirty fractures and potentially kill *very* painfully

Lot of these god breakdowns have influenced a character I am currently making. The quote I made the characters whole personality and story behind is; “The mask I wear isn’t to hide my identity. It’s to hide the injustice this world has done to me.” So far I havnt had this much joy making a character in awhile. Tho I’m still debating weather to have her aligned slighty with one or not and how that’s gonna affect campaigns I run her in.

Fun bit of trivia from the 4e days: Grummsh is actually engaged in a long-term war with Bane because he wants to add Bane's domain of Conquest to his own portfolio. Several good gods are actually silently backing him up because they find Bane to be worse of the two. Also, if I can ask - was it intentional how much your take on Grummsh looks like Ganondorf? I really love the "halfway between Ganondorf and Ganon" vibes your Grummsh gives me, considering Ganon was originally based on the depiction of pig-headed Orcs in 1stedition D&D, it's very fitting.
