DSA broke the Vulcan... So now it can never be flown again

Another waste of money as no invested has been found to support the airport as of October 2024. We have an empty airport, empty park and ride car parks (Rossington)and empty brained labour council/ mayor officials. There is trend here.

There is something nice and clean about these new stadiums but they just don't have the same sort of character of the old stadiums, and you could be at any ground as they don't have any individuality. First full length cantelever stand still doing its job over 60yrs later..

I wish they would update us with more news. The opening of this airport is what South Yorks needs jobs and transport links are superb for this airport. I note that the surrounding area has been given some attention in keeping it neat and tidy to give it kerb appeal so well done DMBC. Lets find our wings again and start flying

Coukd not understand why this airport was closed after spending millions improving access to it itvwas a nice airport, but instead vavoured Leeds/Bradford that is prone to high winds and fog, due to its proximity

The fate of the airport is now sealed. Tui are not coming back, that probably means Jet2 etc won’t come to Doncaster either. The only airplanes coming here will be full of immigrants if labour win the election. Yet, the airport could have been kept open if labour had supported it and given Peel holdings the £1 million they will get now for the the next 125 years for doing nothing. What a mess the mayors have created.

Man Utd's Old Trafford Stadium that a bit of TLC won't cure. All it needs is the Upgrade of the Sir Bobby Charlton's Stand with a 2nd tier to complete the original design & the removal of the 3rd tier of the Sir Alex Ferguson's Stand & replaced by TV Screens for all 4 corners. We also want a Levelled Retractable New Roof + modern refurbishment of the rest of the stadium to warrant a 90K capacity in comfort. SBCS 25K + SAFS 25K + SES 20K + ES 20K = 90K. Take Note: The Stadium Expansion should Not Exceed the rail track. Old Trafford Stadium known as 'The Theatre of Dreams' unique in style is the Super Bowl of stadiums & is potentially The best Stadium in the country, possibly the world. Let's complete the Old Trafford Stadium, we feel in 18 month to 2 years copying Real Madrid project with the right people it can be achieved in line with progress on the pitch cos we deserve more! At present The Old Trafford Stadium is still incomplete & needs is an upgrade of the SBC stand & East & West quadrant to be completed first before you can sort out the roof. This Stadium has a lot of potential & can be one of the best stadium in Europe if not the world with the original design cos it has character & authentic with the potential capacity of at least 90K, all it needs is an refurbished & some TLC. We put such a lot of work and money into 558 and now she sits there rotting. Feel very sorry for all the people who fought so hard to get her back to flight and now look.

I worked there for five years in airport security,ie passenger screening bag searching x-Ray screening airport patrols and plane searches,it was an enjoyable job but so poorly paid,if it reopens I hope the staff are paid enough money for the role and high levels of security needed to run DSA

Install a culvert and raise the roadbed. I guess that would spoil everyone's fun. You never see this kind of crossing on a paved roadway in the US (not that the US is the epitome of wisdom😂).

I was wondering why the Vulcan was not in a hangar, so sad to see her like that, as a former air cadet, I remeber when this was RAF Finningley. But this is part of the bigger plan, by 2050 they aim to only have three airports in the whole of the UK Glasgow Belfast and Heathrow.

So sad to see one of the uks best airports all abandoned and without any passengers. This needs to reopen Fast and We also need more flights here. Maybe jet2 can operate here?

Fantastic footage , Absolutely criminal to allow this VULCAN to be here, It should be re located to York Air museum , I have photo's and video of internal Airport but not allowed as the Airport is still going through all the court drama , Never think this will be an airport again thoughts with the personnel who worked there

Such a shame some great recent memories but also memories going back to around 1973 when I was 5 !

It's so sad to see XH558 all alone like that,it needs some company to cheer her up.I saw it on it's second to last flight back in I think 2015.
