A Frankenstein video for your viewing pleasure! Turns out, when I am close to burn out, the thought of editing a video isn't appealing. So while I filmed several weeks ago, that flosstube never aired. Please enjoy a current update of my stitching, plans, haul, and life in addition to the post vacation life update and mega haul from weeks ago :) I hope you all enjoy this update video. Timestamps...

Flosstube #3: Let's travel back in time...

We're jumping back in time for a bit to the end of May with an update on all that I was able to stitch on: some wins and some fails. I had a VERY successful trip to the craft thrift store for some vintage charts/kits which I am so excited to share. Also, aliens make an appearance in a very typical Doctor Who Christmas Special type of way, haha. I hope you all enjoy this update video. Timestamps...

Completely understand all your feelings on the stocking as you know. Great video!!!❤
I don’t know why nobody talks about One For My Enemy either! I loved the Atlas Six but I decided not to read the last one because the reviews are universally terrible. I mean I don’t think I saw ONE positive review 😬😬😬
Your stocking turned out amazing Jill! Your mom is going to be so happy to have it for sure. Have a great (work) trip to Florida ☺️
@@LadybugStitches thanks Hannah! It will be a fun surprise to give :)
Mom will be shocked and be in awe. Great job! Maybe she’s going to bring a pickle with her his it on your tree as a gift. You’ll have to keep a look out for that. Happy Stitching 🧵🪡
@@carylminard448 thank you! She might ;) happy stitching to you too
Your stocking looks fantastic! I’m not a fan of stitching in hand, either. My stitches don’t look as nice as I’d like them too. It is so much faster, though. I never heard of Saga. I have patternkeeper. It's loaded on to an older kindle I still have kicking around. I didn't want to have to pay for a subscription either. Have fun on your work trip :-)
@@AmniconStudio thank you so much! I wish my old fire tablet was still functional to try the pattern keeper hack but so far I’m loving SAGA with this big piece. Hopefully more designers will offer that digital file in the future :)
Have fun with saga! I can’t stop talking about it, lol, I do think it’s the best 😀 also the stocking is absolutely AMAZING!!
@@RedsStitchery thanks Katie! So far I’m loving it so far. A bit of a learning curve but I keep going back to your video about it. Thanks for sharing and talking about it so much. It really is a GREAT app for stitching.
Happy Thanksgiving love your moms stocking🩵🩵🩵
@@hollyhogue9543 thank you! I hope you had a great Thanksgiving :)
I totally bought the Hagrid’s Hut after seeing it in one of your previous videos. It sucks to restart but I hope to see updates of which fabric you choose. I’m debating between my own stock of pregridded white Aida or buying a dyed fabric. Your stocking looks amazing, I’m sure your mom will love it for Christmas!
@@MimosaMondays yay! The Hagrids piece is so amazing, I hope now that I switch the fabric I’ll be even more motivated to work on it. I went with the blue because the background is all low coverage so I thought it would compliment the sky and hills best. Keep me updated with your progress, I’d love to see another stitcher working on it :) thank you for watching!
Hi! I’m a thirty something sticher too! Your stocking is STUNNING! I added it to my wish list. My mom was a gardener and would have loved this so so much! I now want to stitch this in memory of my mom. Thank you so much for sharing!
@@thewildwonderfulmaker hi there! Thank you so much! It’s been a fun project to stitch on and now that it’s the season, the one she stitched me is up and on display for even more motivation to finish. Keep me updated if you ever do start working on it! Thanks for watching :)
Your stocking is looking fabulous! Your Mum is going to get such a surprise 😊

Finally got a chance to watch, and what a great video! I love love love the lemons and the stocking. It looks like your trip was absolutely beautiful and I loved hearing about it. 😉Can't wait to see the Quacker Quaker with your color choices, and I hope you enjoy stitching on the CM piece! I thought that linen was super nice to stitch on.
Thanks Jen! It's a great linen for this CM piece, I'm enjoying it so far. Looking forward to getting more into it :)
I can't wait to see the progress on your Quacker quaker. The colors look so fun. I live in Packer country. I don't follow football but I am quite aware of how strong rivalries can be.
Thank you! It will be a fun one to stitch.
❤❤❤ I loved the update! Wow your lemon 🍋 progress is so bright and I just want to make my self a lemonade 😅 your souvenir is so cute and it looks just like your project, sorry that you didn’t get the color that you want it for the skeleton that really sucks when you kind of like expecting something and then you get something else. I know photographing fabrics sometimes is so tough 🙏🏽 oh my God your mom is going to be so excited for that stocking ! I’m glad you have fun on your trip🎉
Thank you Milka!
Please, you do not need to announce the pronouns you answer to. This is about cross stitch, we include all.
You're right, cross stitch is an inclusive community. I feel it's important to continue to include my pronouns in my intro because it takes less than two seconds. And if those two seconds can make someone feel seen and welcomed, I will forever make the effort.
Hi Jill! Your stocking looks amazing, and your mom is so going to love it! For your Italian lemons piece, you could set a goal to have it done in time for your cousin’s first wedding anniversary to gift it to them then. I think you can definitely get it done in a year! Happy stitching 😊
Thanks Hannah! I for sure think that's what I will do with that WIP.
Love your choice of fabric & floss for your quacker Quaker! 👏🏼😍
Thank you! I'm looking forward to stitching it.
Love the lemon piece! It's so Italian. The stocking is phenomenal. I've done a couple of those heirloom stockings, and I know how much work they are. Your mom will love it. --Deb

"These just look like trout. Not even rainbow trout." LOL! I love your stocking, it looks fabulous. And I hope you have fun on your trip!
@@jensfiberweb thank you!
Could you please share what you use to surge your fabrics? I don’t have a sewing machine and was hoping to get something just for this purpose of surging around the fabric. I enjoyed all your shares and haul. That light house kit is beautiful. Funny how you found another pattern in there. How Divine ☺️.
@@owlbestitching8839 hey! So sergers are pretty powerful machines and can be costly if you’re only using it for cross stitch. I scored mine for a great deal secondhand. I would say to use a regular sewing machine and zigzag stitch along the edges. I got my BabyLock serger for the dual purpose of also surging the edges on the garments I make to wear. More than happy to share my exact model if your heart is set on a serger for cross stitching otherwise I suggest a sewing machine and play around with different feet to get a serger type effect (or regular zigzag stitch). Thank you for watching!
❤❤❤
Divine I would love to stitch the chart “O’ Night Divine.”

@@LadybugStitches thanks Hannah! It’s certainly addicting to work on that stocking, it feels so close to a finish 🤞🏼
I watched your five floss tubes back to back because I had nothing to do on a Sunday while my husband was at work. I don’t remember you talking this fast in the first four so I’ll wait till number six comes up and if it slows down I will subscribe because I like your projects. I enjoy your personality.
