Ok so what stops the lubricant even after it dries from leaving stains on your clothes?

If you think putting lubricant on your seatbelt is a good idea, then by all means go for it.

I tried all this so far goes quick until it get close to completion just sits there until you push it in. I’ll try Another coat tomorrow maybe it needs to dry

Less of a mess and no worries about using too much spray. I just used wd40 silicone spray on a folded micro fiber and sprayed that towel well and pulled out seat belt all the way and cleaned it most of the way down and it works great! Thanks for the tip.

If you take a bucket of water and dump it into the toilet it will drain and not refill instead of having to scoop out water.

Temperature is always an ingredient aka factor in any chemical reaction, so what I do is: - warm up your vinegar put aside on standby - warm up your toilet bowl with boiling water - then & only then you pour your hot Vinegar. You will be amazed at the difference in both cleaning aggressivity & the much shorter cleaning process with much less intervention.,

Gonna spend a few minutes to remove the clips and spray the mechanism directly with silicone. Don't like the idea of having a seat belt stain across my work shirt

Used this method. Sprayed the seatbelt on both sides. Works like a charm. You can smell the silicone spray at first but after a day the smell was gone. I haven't found stains on any of my clothes. Big thank you!

Worked like a charm!

I sat in car, put seat belt on, then put a binder clip where the belt meets the ring (so I didn't spray there). Pulled belt all the way out and sprayed the last foot on both sides pretty good. Sprayed lightly a little above that. I didn't spray very close to the clip I put on. I wiped the inside of the ring off as good as I could. I used PB blaster spray silicone lubricant. I did this in 33F degrees outside. (I did heat the can up to room temperature) I cycled the seat belt a couple times and it works great now. Thanks!

I already dented my door jamb thanks to the stuck seatbelt buckle. So I guess this will have to work

Try scraping with the back edge of a cheap spoon! That’s my go-to for any “chisel” jobs around the house ....

I recommend only doing the first couple feet of the belt, otherwise you'll have the slippery and smelly silicone getting on your clothing. Looks to me like you did too much of this belt.
