Howrah bridge iconic bridge
I had the privilege of being present on this occasion and being with him for sometime. What brilliance of mind and oratory was I exposed to ! I had reproduced a part of this lecture in 'Kolkata Port -Reflections in Print and Memory' , a Port publication that I edited. Later I also took an interview of his at his residence as raw footage for a documentary , which however remained incomplete. I am quoting him from his lecture again in another 50-year shipping commemorative (of ASIC) that I am currently editing .
