That is correct! You can change any interface to anything else.
After import token license into Fortigate firewall, Can I use Microsoft authenticator scan QR code to replace FortiTiken app?
No you cannot, it seems to be proprietary. If you want to use MS Authenticator you will need to link to an external authentication server such as LDAP or SAML.
i have a quastion - if i create sdwan virtual interface, configure my firewall rules and so on will it be possible to create IPSec tunnels to exact WAN interface later?
How to access fortiswitch via gui after fortilink configuration?
The idea is that you will not need to access the FortiSwitch directly after it becomes FortiLink managed. There are very few commands that can only be input directly on the FortiSwitch that won't be overridden by the FortiGate.
Gud jerb! I remember when I first started learning FortiOS. The steps needed to do basic firewall and routing stuff seemed a little convoluted compared to what I'd used over the years. One gotcha in particular was when I decided to tear down an SSL-VPN tunnel and make another one. Learned (through frustration) that you have to make sure to disconnect any and all objects from it before you can delete it. Oh... what a day! haha

Just a question Greg! I know that the forti link ports run forti link protocol which are only compatible with Forti switches but let's say if I do connect my Cisco/Juniper/Aruba switch to the forti link ports, will it still work as normal ?
Great question! I haven't tried it out but that's easy enough to test out and post! My initial thought would be that it would not work as it's configured to talk to a FortiSwitch but I may be wrong on that.
