Is it true that 4wd high is only usable until 60mph? Ive heard that it switches back to 2wd above 60? I am thinking about buying a Rebel or Limited. The Rebel looks way more impressive but I just read that the headlights are way better in the Limited. I dont know what to do actually 😅

I love my 2016 rebel. The only thing I wish it didn’t have is the air suspension. Other than that. With a Diablo tune and some bolt one, it’s one reliable truck!

can you drive it in 4wd high on the roads? Does it switch automatically above 50km/h into 2wd? i just heard about it.

LOL You needed to move the gear lever to manual mode to use the paddle shifters. User error there. Personally, I don't see the point of them in this car. The eCVT is very efficient in combination with the hybrid drive train. Computers keep the system optimized for fuel economy. That is why the Lexus gets high 30's mpg where Volvo, BMW, Mitsubishi, etc get low 20's. Otherwise a good review. Thanks.

This car is tragically being slept on due to "mah manual!" I do agree these cost too much, but it's really the only way to get a 100% Japanese car with this performance at this price point. A lot of JDM fans are going to be bummed out when these are no longer available to easily buy, especially when they start to depreciate more.

NOTE: This is a “NOT” repeat, not a CVT gearbox on the NX, ( many that can not afford this vehicle “try” to put it down by trying to spread this FALSE propaganda (do your research) ...this is not a CVT vehicle!)......it is an “ e-CVT “which is an epicycloidal transmission and no belt of any kind. eCVT is completely different from a cvt. eCVT doesn't use belt/band. Nothing are the same. It's a transmission that contentiously varies, the mechanics are different but the outcome is the same !

Dream car

The range is mostly fine if you opt for the 19 inch tires (like my M50) because the car is very efficient even in mildly cold weather that I mostly charge at home and only sparingly at public chargers. My Real world range is around an average of 250 to 260 with a range from as low as 180miles during freezing temperatures (19F or -7C) to 270 miles at warm temperatures at 100% charge. The optimal weather for this battery in the M50 is from high 40F thru 90F which means you get a good range from Spring through late Fall.

Flicking the gear switch back again from ‘D’ puts you in ‘B’ mode and that is for proper one-pedal driving. It will bring you down to a full stop.

The 2024 Prius can be ordered with AWD. The 2024 Prius Prime cannot. Toyota says the Primes much larger battery takes up more space so the extra gear needed for AWD can't be fitted. In fact, all of the regular (non-Prime), cars being shipped to Canada will be equipped with AWD as a standard feature. Our new Prime SE has the plastic hub-caps. But behind them you'll find nice wheels actually. Very surprising. And, sticking with wheels; you are better off with the 17's. Better gas milage and ride and far less expensive to replace when the time comes. I just hope that before next winter someone comes up with a winter tire to fit the car. Right now such a tire is not available anywhere. So far, we are getting 80km (50 miles), in EV Only Mode before the engine joins in. Still half a tank of the dealers gas left after five weeks. Gas here is currently at the equivalent of $7.22 CAD a US gallon. Won't be buying much of it anymore.
