I used to own that bike but now I have a 2018 Harley fat bob 114. I was sad so see the Chinese bike go but I couldn’t pass up getting double what I paid for it. Little thing was soo fun to ride and cut through the grass with 😂

I know I’m trying to get the hang up the camera angles and audio. I need to practice needle I just start recording and upload 😂 But hopefully this is a little better. Had a blast hitting the trails and getting to experience the bike differently. Best part it’s not far from where I live so I can ride on the highway for a bit. Bike handled well, not much elevation change that I noticed. Y’all be safe and enjoy the upcoming summer!

Sad news guys, after posting this video I somehow seized or straight up broke my rear caliper. Ran a couple errands and when I walked out to my bike I noticed it. In one of my previous videos I believe it was my first one I posted a link to the chain and sprocket. So far I’d honestly say the battery and nibbi carb upgrade are a must have for those bikes! Thank you all for watching and all the comments. I’d really like to have a small community of people with these bikes. Maybe a Reddit forum or instagram page. That would be sick! Ride safe!

Be sure to check out the link in my last video for the nibbi carb! Be sure to check the carb slide like I said! Will be doing an install video for the rear sprocket. Thanks again guys! Still need to have the front wheel balanced. Thinking about replacing the tires with something a little more street oriented. More videos to come!

What’s up guys and gals I know this video isn’t the best but I hope it helps you in some way. I did receive the MSO and will get the bike registered. Honestly took me a couple hours to put together. Soo one night there was ice and it was late coming home from work and couldn’t slow down coming into my street and hit my driveway and bent the radiator support into my oil filter which punctured it and made me think I fucked my oil pan. Luckily it’s not bad but I need a new radiator. Follow me on ig @chill_milller

Does it matter what size carb you use as long as it’s for a 250?
@@PatrickMysliwiec-xk5qr yeah it matters but for the most part a carb for a 250 will only most likely work on a 250 so it’s pretty self explanatory on what to get. I’m no expert though. This engine is technically a 230cc. I went with a pe30mm carb

My MSF class used some air cooled 250s, they did fine with stop/starts and slow speed in the south Texas heat. You will be fine as to temperature.
I just put my deposit down today on tbe Templar X 6 speed in Black. Planning on doing the 300cc big jug kit and the NIBI carb conversion straight away. Cant wait. I just wanted a lightweight, cheap commuter good for about 200-250 miles per week. I've had a lot of bikes in my life, but these days I like small displacement, lightweight dual sports and paying cash for a bike is nice. No banks, no payments, just fun and ease of ownership. I also like the 200cc XPro scooters as well. CVT is nice for in the city, just twist and go.

@CheapBikeOwner I'm sure it will be. I bought a new KLX230 in 2020 and loved it. But it cost $5000.00. Great bike don't get me wrong but I want to try one of these $2000.00 bikes just to see how they compare.

That'd indicate that your carb is running too lean. Those carbs are famous for running lean. Bigger jets or buy a Nibbi Carb if it's in your budget 🤙

@CheapBikeOwner it's an easy thing to change. Someone probably sells a jetting kit that contains several sizes. Better to run a little fat than running it lean. Just do a little research and I'm sure you will find one. I plan on buying the same bike as you for a short commute to and from work. I know I will probably upgrade the carb and reheat it to suit the weather. I'm practically at sea level. There are threads you can view that will answer all your questions. That same motor is in several different bikes. Some upgrade to a mikuni carb.
@ I’m not good at jetting and carb tuning but installing and removing this bikes carb isn’t necessarily easy lol

@@scrambler69-xk3kv I eventually got new tires on the bike. I got a 70% street and 30% dirt/gravel style tire. Was a more comfortable ride with them and they weren’t even 200 bucks

@@brotcivic1607 I’m not sure man you’d have to look into your state laws but I’m sure you can buy one off powersportsmax website like I did and have the bike inspected at a bike shop. Then take the inspection sheet and title to your dmv and get it registered for either on/off-road use

? Bro… I have the same Templar … the skinny black washer that’s on the rear rim…did you put it on the chain side or the brake side.. I ask because when I had it on the brake side the sprockets didn’t really align up.. when I put it on the chain side it aligned up. Pay close attention to your and let me know ….( look at the rear n front sprocket front the back of the bike)
@@maidmujkanovic1053 I sold the bike earlier this year but it stayed on the brake side. I eventually got new tires for it and had the chain shortened and noticed the shop had kept the washer on the brake side

Same thing I did to my Hi-Rev 250, used a hammer and flat head to raise the shock. I'm 6' 2", but I like when I'm standing straight up, knees not bent and the bike is right under my crotch.
Best thing to do is take the decals off and vinyl wrap that shit

X-Pro Templar 250 X/M Suspension Help needed!! Anyone with motorcycle suspension knowledge, please comment: From the factory, these bikes seem to be set up for very lightweight riders. Unassuming around 130-150 pound riders. According to another youtuber with this bike, the rear Shock is 480mm for Templar M and X. Currently, there is a offering on AMAZ0N. Copy/paste to search box: Motorcycle 480mm Motorcycle Shock Absorber Rear Suspension Universal Heavy Duty 900LBS The one i am looking at is offered for $146.88 (and around $70 shipping). I don't know how the max coil spring weight is factored. Looking to add at least 100lbs of capacity to rear shock ( rider plus gear). Anyone feel that the 900lbs spring rating would be enough? Or, do i need one like i have seen elsewhere with a rating of like 1200 lbs max. Any advice on other brands and sources of cost effective replacement rear shocks? In addition, $200+ for a generic Chinese rear shock seems sketchy. Thanks.

@@SteveM-426 it’s decent on the highway with the gearing change. Going down to like a 40 tooth rear sprocket helped me get to about 70mph on a flat road. It’s lightweight so the wind can push you around. As for the tank it’s small. I have a 30 min ride to work and I could make it there and drive around (barely) before filling up

Check all your wires. You must have a short or a worn area where it’s arcing. Your getting a power surge and the weak point is meant to let go so you don’t send it up in flames or melt everything. Do the slow and painful eye exam first. Then if still can’t find it crack out the multi meter and check the wires for resistance and ohms.

How's it ride comparison to stock? Definitely slower then my 72v surron. I did a bike swop with my buddy. Switched bikes and both road them around. I like both. Surron because it's quite. But Templar because it's good on gas and a budget gas bike that can be upgraded. Surron and Templar are both Chinese. I'm happy.time for upgrades. Surron is all upgraded. Might get rims or a motor swop after a few more 1000 miles. 5k now

The bike is obviously built for dirt bike riding occasional road to trail ride if you want a road bike you should buy one all the things you are bringing up our common you lacking up the rear brake warped the rotor not the caliper those are dirt bike tires.

@@CheapBikeOwner I use a digital CALIPER to measure out the space in between tension screw and end of swing arm to achieve the same measurement and ensuring the wheel is straight .. I don’t trust those notches they carved out on the swing arm.

Yes you are a brother to endless and countless electrical issues, should of purchased a larger bore jap bike, not to mention it's on a soft tail frame and not a Dyna frame that alone takes away the fun. But yeah I have been a Harley rider for 33 years and switched to a Honda VTX because my 92 FXST, 08 FXDL, 2010 FXDC and 2011 FLSTN all had electrical issues I would fix and more would pop up. 67k on the VTX never one issue electrical or mechanical. I'll never go back to Harley unless they re engineer their electrical system.
