A Truckers Perspective
Добавлен 19 июн 2015
As a 30+ year over the road truck driver, I have solved all of the world's problems, but no one asks me, lol. I just hope to share my life thoughts and experiences in order to give you a few more puzzle pieces that could add to your life picture. We all need to be happier, more of the time, I hope what I share helps.
Miami Motor Speedway Trip and More...
On this trip, we took some cars to the Miami Motor Speedway. We saw some cool things. We then took some new electric Volvos to Cardinal stadium in AZ. Good fun, enjoy.

I once watched a cr england driver take 58 minutes to back up into a dock 7 dock door nothing in them. Pull straight into yard and straight into dock and it took 58 minutes dunno how the hell he got a cdl but he definitely shouldn’t have
Thanks really needed to know this couldn't figure out how to move my so I can get unloaded 1:44
You forgot to get out and look
❤❤❤Thank you
Yep in real life parking space is tight as an asshole on the road and has no extra at times, We wish for space, I Wish I had that much space!😅😅😅😅😅
limir space puff
Thanks a lot great information
Interesting haven't seen that in Europe
If you are in a tight space to back up (New Jersey), leave the tandems in the forward position to make the trailer swing more quickly. That can save you 20 feet of space trying to back it in there. Once you are lined up, put the tandems all the way back so you can get close to level with the dock. Remember to criticize the loading / unloading crew for not being faster... They secretly love that. You measure at the middle of the rear axle, right ? It's not the leading edge of the rear tire or something nuts like that, is it ? No one ever told me nothing.
Not set belt and not GOAL 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️fail
When your backing its not required to wear seatbelt
Nice
1:24 That explains why I've been having so much trouble trying to get the pins to go in
This is one of the logical video i have seen about trailer backing. If you are watching any videos on backing, all you need to see is the movement of the steering wheels, and how the end of the trailer sligns itself with the hole.
So the arrow needs to be in the middle of the rear wheel? I just went through training and I thought they meant between both wheels.
Thank you bro
So distracting
Ok so just the rear tandem tires should go between the California law ? Or can the arrows point between them in the gap area?
Did you get answer on that
You whistle at me like that ima whoop your ass
very helpful video. Really helped me. The company I work and my trainer, never taught me this and I almost got in trouble because I was driving it with tendems all the way back. but I thank you
Question: so you keep the red trailer brake pushed in as well as that trailer button in the back so that it can slide? Or do you keep the tailer break pulled out and button in back pushed in for the trailer to slide? I just wanna make sure it’s done right when I’m by myself.
You have to have the trailer brake set (pulled out) to hold the tires in place or the tandems won’t slide. The only reason he released the trailer brakes (pushed in) at the beginning was to fill the trailer’s air tanks, once they’re charged (filled) you can set the trailer brakes, get out, and push the button.
Thank you so very, very much !!!
Very helpful, currently on the road with my dad and I've seen the term "sliding axles/axle sliding" plenty of times and I didn't know what it meant.
Thank You so much God bless you
This video would've been great without all that background music it's very distracting besides that he can speak real clear English but now I have to look up another video cause I could barely hear him and understand
Thank you! 😊
Cr england giving classes now?
For you next video, please turn the background music down. It's very distracting. It makes it hard to hear YOU! Thanx
No, the reason why you have a 3 bunk truck is because CR England is a horrible company and will do anything to save a buck.
this is only for amazon sites you don't have to do that but unless the site doesn't have a TDR Lock.
The music so annoying. It’s bothering so much
Why would you add the Tormenting Noise to this upload Ahole.
So just finishing up my CDL School. They told us how to do it they just didn't do it for us. They told us that we will learn how to do stuff like that when we go to a carrier or wherever we go. But while they're teaching us they leave the tandem's all the way to the back of the trailer. And when we test for our state Idaho we test with the tandem all the way to the back of the trailer. Thank you so much for the video and the knowledge.
lucky if you have one of these newer hyundai trailers with the button (never had an issue with them), 80% of the time the old holland black panther trailers are the worst and have these levers that dont always lock in place
My trailer does'nt slide so easily. The truck buckles and bends, swist and rocks voilently to reverse.
I didn’t even know that this was a thing that was possible on semi trailers. I guess it’s an American feature since it doesn’t exist here in Europe.
the valve on the trailers i use dont stay in like that, i have to use a set of vice grips to hold it open? is there a trick i dont know about? or is my trailer just dumb?
Thanks for the video
Imagine sleeping up there and dumbass #2 is driving and hits a low bridge lmaooooo
Thank you
Muy mal el video no se ve como hace la maniobra entre el tractor y la traila
How are you using the arrow stickers? What exactly should each arrow (or in-between the two) be aligning with?
I believe the kingpin is at the front of the trailer (the thing that connects it to the semi) so those stickers mark the measurement between that and the rear axle of the trailer. So the arrows should be aligning with the rear axle. *I am not a trucker*
I think 43 feet from kingpin to middle of tandems, but now this makes me think I listened wrong and it’s supposed to be middle of rear rim
I appreciate this video so much! I’m having my test tomorrow to solo out and this was one of the few things I was confused about. Thank you driver!
unfortunately school was not too helpful with this , learned it more on the road , usually you do this after scaling
Thanks
Easy
Hey brother thank you so much for this video I'm in Ohio right now dropping a load and I had to drop an empty and do this exact same thing I had no idea how to do it my company never trained me. There is one more thing I would add to your video to perfect it. Let me know if you want to know what that is.
Thank you
Never been taught to do this
Man no seat belt😅😅😅😅
You are supposed to take it off when backing a truck. You will need to stick your head out and look , and GOAL at times.
He should use the horn prior to backing,
