Late to the party but I loved all the TXR series and have them all. I spent so many crazy hours to beat this game and I loved every minute. I'm heading rumors from Genki there's a new one on the way!

14:15 that sucks when you goob it up at the last minute and lose with them having like 1% left lol. Also love the rival descriptions, especially on the wanderers which usually give you hints on how to get them to race you. One of them rejected me, so I checked out his description and it pretty much said "yeah this guy doesn't race slow shitty cars" which hurt since I thought I had a fast car lol

When my dad bought me my PS2 my first game was TXR0. It was the only racing game box in the glass display. To this day 20 years later I still have it. My PS2 is still hooked up to my TV with the classic blue and red memory cards And Sony controllers. I’ve poured countless hours into that game. And it was addicting. So much so that my mom unknowingly bought me the same game for the game boy advance. When I wasn’t at home playing on my PS2 I was in the backseat of my parents car playing this on my game boy. This game along with underground two, most wanted and midnight club is what got me into cars.

And to think! We are finally getting a new game 21 years later!.!.!

I could never get past Nagoya Stage 1 because the game would crash on me upon unlocking Seeks.

One problem i never understood from TXR3 is the traffic cars, i'm surprised it was not mentioned, it was the annoying part of feeling tokyo highway realism vibes, they should've added more than just a bus to make it more realistic

You can absolutely beat the bosses in a straight line, but only w certain top cars* and tuned to have your turbos boosted to the max. *Certain versions of supras, rx7s, nsx, skylines. You cant reach top speeds w 4 cylinders or AWD cars.

TOKYO XTREME RACER 3 even in 2024 still is one of thr alltime best street racing games alongside NFS UNDERGROUND 1 & 2.

As good as Tokyo Xtreme racer zero was this game pales in comparison which is why I think it's garbage

I play this still also have the original and drift such a great game they had this on Xbox 360 with the name import tuner challenge

I still have my day 1 disk of this game and I still play it to this day, cause as you summed up: they don't make racing games like this anymore. and I personally fell down the rabbit hole of tuning in this game as well as all the pricing range for buy and fully upgrading a car, and I just don't get that from any other racing game nowadays. the fact that the game really, and I mean *Really*, makes me think about my decisions both on and off the Wangan in terms of "should I buy this car over the one I have?" "should I sell this car?" "should remove the spoiler and get rid of the downforce in favor of more straight line power?" "should I shorten the gears in favor acceleration, or get longer gears for more top end power?" "should I get this upgrade at the risk of making my car too heavy?" it's the little things that the game makes you keenly aware of after a while that I love so much about it, that and the money management since money is *Strict* in this game.

dude, do you like a game overall? I 've read it has some anime while doing some bosses, I don't think you mentioned it

I bought TXR3 a few years ago. I've played it a bit. It's good. I really got into TXR 0 when it came out. Simple concept really. But so much fun. This game, or type of game needs a new release.

I like 3.... but I love Zero more.

I used to play that game years ago.. not properly, but now I got a good phone, and I ran an emulator in it.. surprisingly works well.. except some frame rate drops.. but other than that, it performs well.. my main car is the Nissan Pulsar GTI-R and it holds up well.. except in the long straightaways since it can never go past 180mph.. but its a pretty decent 2nd car for starters like us
