From Manchester, England, I share covers of various songs I love, some of them my own but most are covers from the likes of Pearl Jam, The Clash, Alice in Chains, Bruce Springsteen and more. I've been on the Manchester music scene since 2005 in lots of bands but most notably my old punk band Sam Smith & Company which was sadly disbanded due to the unfortunate sudden emergence of someone else who shares my birth name.
I now front Death or Glory - Tribute to the Clash as "Joe Strummer", continue to write and record with The Parish Church Fire and indulge myself by recording versions of my favourite songs in my spare time which is what you will find here.

nicely done. I'm not super into Mastodon but I love that song for its unusual vocals and arrangement. The lyrics are sort of sweet and sad, but when they're set to Metal it's unexpectedly moving.

Crack the Skye is probably my favourite metal album of all time because of its lyrics and musical themes and what a better way to start than with Oblivion. What a band

Amazing work 🤩 Oh yeah and I heard your the lead frontman Joe Strummer of The Clash in your tribute band "Death Or Glory" that's even more impressive because I am a massive fan of The Clash and have been for roughly a decade now. The Clash are probably my favourite band of all time, love their albums, love their songs and absolutely idiolized Joe Strummer as a kid and I believe I still do. I would love to see your tribute band live. Are you guys planning on coming to Norwich, UK at some point?
Ah man I’d love for us to come out to Norwich! Just need a promoter to get us over there and we can make it work. Just keep an eye on our socials and hopefully something will happen soon. We’ve got some huge bookings for 2025 so I’m hoping the spotlight will bring new bookings in places we’ve never been to.

Nicely performed. But what's wrong with the sound of the guitar? Is this normal or just a matter of too much gain or low battery? I am looking around for a short scale guitar but if this model sounds like that on stage I won't consider buying it.
I’ve driven the preamp a little (it’s a Focusrite Clarett 8pre and I like it like that sometimes. I’ve been considering doing some videos on my guitars and probably will in the not too distant future so look out for those maybe. It’s a beautiful guitar, I thought it because I’m a Joe Strummer tribute artist and it knocked me for six. Didn’t expect to fall in love with it but I did. I’d definitely recommend it.
