Bakugan Dub Vs Sub Comparison | Shun's Mom - Bakugan Battle Brawlers EP 12
Просмотров 2,1 тыс.Год назад
The Hospital scene from Season 1 Episode 12 of Bakugan Battle Brawlers. I tried to upload a Yu-Gi-Oh! GX comparison video too (the infamous Mad Dog scene), but RUclips keeps blocking it, so I'll have to go with a different clip next time.
Yu-Gi -Oh Vrains Ending Comparison Dub Vs Sub

The Ai means love scene. 4K Media is officially 4Kids 2.0
UM- excuse me while I process this 🥲
I didn’t know there was a sub version of this show, I’ve only seen it in English , I loved this show as a kid
Man, the dub version fucking sucks. And not for the voices, but obviously for the different screenplay.
They never seemed nearly as close as Yugi and Yuma were with Atem and Astral. Yet Yusaku took losing Ai much harder than after Yugi and Yuma's final duels (which also had the same outcomes). In fact, unlike them, Yusaku wasn't able to move on afterwards, just spending all his time in Link Vrains in the hopes of finding Ai (for how long and whether or not he did we'll probably never know)!
why does half of the gppd yugioh series ends with a gay couple break up
It's been years since I've watched the dub version. I've seen at least 1 sub episode of New Vestoria, but none from Battle Brawlers. Even in the dub, I knew Shun's mother was dying and this their final moment together. I hate how a lot of kids western media (including dubbed animes) treats their targeted audiences. Treating them like they have paper-thin skin. Kids are a lot smarter than the media gives them credit for.
It makes much more sense why Shun wanted to stay in the Doom Dimension during his test. I never understood why he wanted to stay, but the original makes it clear why. He wanted to be with his mother forever instesd of moving on.
I watch this when I was like 14 years old but what I didn't know is that his mother had died on the Japanese version and now I realize the truth now the whole entire story of Bakugan it would have liked come up to the senses that shuns mother has died and all that sort of stuff it's a good thing I stopped watching anime I'm not into it anymore if I ever make a remake out of this make it just like this on the Japanese version and with real words
I'm coming from the angle of having just seen the dub but I think it's fine for their characters. The emotion is still the same, just expressed differently. I still ugly cried at Ai's death.
Wow... That hits hard. It's insane how childish the dubbed versions of these anime for younger audiences are, while the sub version isn't afraid to be upfront and show the harshness of reality
Don’t die ai ai meant to love people 😭ai come back 😭
Get to Duel Links. Maybe.
@@recordkeepertype0662 will ai come back 😭
@@franklinsaldana5781 technically yes if there was more of Vrains but if duel links is considered canon then yeah technically but there was that one scene at the end with Ai's eye so yes and no unless duel links counts
The Japanese version had more feelings tbh
😢😢
Just on the 30 November I saw this but in English😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
It’s been exactly a year since I’ve finished Vrains, and I’m still not over this 😢
Hey, I think you accidentally took from yugioh abridged for the dub scene
😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢❤
Poor Shun
I love you ai 😭whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy ai have to die why 😭
Well, play Duel Links.
"Goodbye, Playma-Yusaku... Ai truly loved you." (Should have been dubbed)
That is too gay for the dub unfortunetly.
@@lucasgoncalves7774 It should have probably flew over the heads. But yeah. That sounds gay. It would have also been passed as a wordplay moment but fans would see it as a love confession.
The dub ruined the scene
Sub is better, yes, but if you hate the dub so much why talk about it? Just watch the subbed version.
@@mattstonge7112 I watched this video had never seen the dub saw how much they ruined this scene in the sub and commented on it
@@kaloyanivanov9938 Okay, so how was it "ruined"?
@@mattstonge7112 did you even watch both versions
I saw this scene a year ago without watching yu gi oh vrains and i was really confused, but now that i finished Vrains and saw this scene again i couldn't help but shed tears.😢
Sub is always better
Sure it was sad seeing him leave in both versions but I like more Yusaku’s scream at the end in the sub since he puts more feeling calling his name.
There, now all of the Ignis are finally gone exactly you ever wanted. Happy now, Ryoken? 😢😠
Him and lightning are the only winners from Vrains
He got him to explain the meaning of "Ai" which is "to love people" Reeally good knowing what Yusaku was like at the start of this series.
I still can't get over this now. Although it already 3 years ago
Dub Ai is litterally Deadpool when dying
I agree.
After watching a Wolverine & Deadpool I was about to comment this
Still preferred sub😊
Agreed, the dub is just better, but like that's always the case with Yu-Gi-Oh and most anime in general so like yeah
WHAT?!!!
The only time in my entire life that I felt truly heartbroken was watching this. That's the ONLY time
How the hell did they ruin this scene!?
I hope that there aren't people out there that genuinely think the Dub is better
Although the characters are changed in the dub, so it's not a fair comparison, I thought the sub was a bit too generic while the dub was much more faithful to the unique aspects of the character's personalities. The sub is a heartfelt goodbye that while good, I feel like I've seen a dozen times already. The dub sees Ai go out his way, in his style, and Yusaku plays along.
I hate this dub censorship!!!!!!!!!!
Me too
Same
I do as the English one didn't make sense
Bro it made me cry 😭
People always act like dubs get hate just for being English but no one talks about how the dubs just feel half assed sometimes. This was an emotional moment and we got this... Don't get me wrong, I'm not Japanese nor do I understand the language, so it could probably be bad too(since I don't understand the tone for what it is in a way), but what I imagine it to be sounds more fitting.
This ^ This is exactly the reason why! There are so many anime out there where the dub completely changes or outright throws out the original script, and some even go as far as changing the whole storyline! This has happened in spades when it comes to the English dub of Yu-Gi-Oh!.
Dubs not get hate just for being English. But because of: -Stupid translation -Censorship -Names adaptation -VAs trying much less than original seiyu -Miscast
I feel like this is only true to any series that has their intended audience changed. Like Yu-Gi-Oh was intended for an older audience, but they made it fit for children when it came to America. One Piece could have easily been stuck like that as well, had Funimation not decided to start the dub over. Yu-Gi-Oh is just sadly not in the hands of anyone willing to do it all over, so they probably just stick to how it has been. Most dubs I watch aren't being changed this much, I only ever see changes to pop culture references.
"I loved you" to "you were a good friend." Sheesh. The gay erasure is strong with this one.
Yep, and it isn't the first time the Dub for Yu-Gi-Oh! has done that either, and with ZeXal they went as far as cutting out entire scenes from episodes, 2 of which involved a guy confessing to another guy.
The dub wasn’t as bad, just a little too light hearted for a final goodbye though. Sub wins no doubt. Much more sadder and shows a lot of growth on the relationship on the two.
I will never understand these two relationships
They are gay Jason
@@jells7157 no
@@jasonware3174 Jason i know this will be tough for you, but they really are gay, Jason.
This dub music sounds like sad disney music to me
Did the dub have to change the fucking music
i am miss Ai 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I don’t hate the dub but why did they change it like that… Sub wins because it had more feeling and emotion into it.
Sub: Oh dear, oh gorgeous Dub: You fucking donkey
You sure the english dub isn't some kind of parody? It feels like I'm listening to one of LK's ygotas episode.
Unfortunately, it is not a parody
The Dub is reflective of their characters but it still doesn't change the tone of the scene this is just a difference in personality between dub and sub
Now the dub was bad for reasons I will say now 1.Ai's reaction to dying by telling yusaku he is afraid is really sad only in the sub 2.Yusaku Sh*t talking ai while he is dying definitely is worse than him finally saying he accepts him as his best friend And 3.After Yusaku sees Hundreds of Ai Clones in Real life lying dead and screams Ai No the Sub felt that he was genuinely Sad over the death of his best friend but the dub feels like a Oh no anyways meme but without the anyways
How do you watch yugioh vrains season 3 dubed
English dub makes it seems that Yuya is dying in Yusaku arms
Yuya is leaving in Dumon's arms. We already had yuto in yuya's
Ai in the dub: Hilarious final words but still sad because its so in character Ai in the sub: Perfect ending which showed how much he had changed because of his friends death
