Snap on V.S Autel
Snap on Triton D10 versus the Autel Maxysis
this was a quick comparison on both of these but please do your own research when spending $$$$ so much money. Everyone has there own opinion and different uses.

today I'm showing off my diagnostic cart, powered by a 2012 Mac mini i7 16gb ram, 2 tb SSDrive running Catalina insignia TV US general 5 drawer Tool cart 5 plug extension cord (still figuring out how to keep it on with a car battery or some sort, so that I don't have to plug it in to a wall outlet)

So we decided to review the Snap on Triton D-10 scanner. And we used it on my brother's 2021 Toyota Supra, be sure to subscribe to his channel BamCeolife
Cheap car battery tester does it work??

Today I’ll be reviewing a cheap Amazon car battery tester, does it really work???? Here is the link through Amazon Car Battery Tester 12V Load... www.amazon.com/dp/B07Z67MMGC?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share
Thanks for your great work. Our shop just upgraded to a Snap-on Triton D-10. You took the fear from me to learn the new awesome features from me. I can't wait to learn, of course on my own time, to make my diagnosis time to make a profit for the investment. Not paid buy to hour, just buy the book time. 59 years old but never going to retire. Love them old cars but have to keep up with the new! Customer first! Cool Supra, BMW.
I bought this scanner last week and freaking love it!!
Is that mounted in the exhaust down pipe?
Manifold then downpipe
FYI. Autel just settled a 30 plus million dollar law suit with snapon for stealing proprietary information. They are a chinese company that steals.
Did you have an issue where the headlight goes in the back of the new lights? Where the clip is ??
@@johnkurek3948 not really, I did have an issue where the light got foggy after a month 🤦♂️
you talk too much about what you got and you got. make the video about the tool not you cock******
How much mechanica charge for labor?
It all depends on shop, state and what vehicle
Is it left one?😮 mine shows bank 2 sensor 1 (O2 sensor circuit) engine light dtc: PO150 2005 HYUNDAI TUCSON 2.7 GLS FWD
It should be compared to the zeus , bad video
Autel ❤❤❤
Hi friend. Do you know what is the sensor in minute 2:16 right upper corner? Next to the hose.
I’m believe that’s the coolant temp sensor ECT
Man wish I could get the snap on for $5k it’s almost $7k on the truck ☺️
What state are you in? My local rep had some sales
My 01 Oldsmobile alero doesn’t have a place for a chip it looks like a regular old ram key like a house key, same issue crank no start I just bought it, any ideas?
Hello my friends, how are you? Who is better at diagnosing American cars? Is it Autel or Snap on? I am waiting for your answer or comment.🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
Depends on who you ask, what you’re using it for and budget.
Undecided if I want to update my snap on or buy Autel
They both have their advantages, what type of cars and work so you do?
Did u installed back the d2s bulbs and if u did how did u do it im missing a ground c9nnecter on mine inside the the headlight to make the dam projector light turn on
@@jmdj89 run a wire to ground and one to your daylight
@DrivenbyfaithAutomotive I ended up buying nissan/infinity ballast that adapt to the tsx connector and then they come already built in with the ground and it worked perfectly. Just one plug to the bulb and that was it. It eliminated the need to add a wire and grouding it.
Hello sir you put the rubber bushing in a wrong way, The right way is the conical side of the upper rubber bushing is facing up while the lower rubber bushing is facing down.
Truck and car are two different things
had a set i bought for my truck spent prob 900 maybe more on headlights and taillight replacements and didnt have them in for a week before my passenger side headlight started ranomly shutting off. i filled the connection with dielectric grease but still if it was out i would unplug it plug back in and it would work for another 20 minutes. eventually i just took them out cause i was sick of leaving home with working lights and having a pudidle before i got where i was going. been holding off buying another set cause now i dont trust them.
Ahhh man that sucks, I took my time with these, I even rtv them all the way around again so I don’t get any condensation inside. Wires are hard wired and soldered
@@DrivenbyfaithAutomotive i had thought about soldering mine but i was having so many issues with it i didnt know if in some way that would screw up the ballast. And at that time i hadnt even ever been on youtube to realize the plethora of information at your finger tips. Had i known there was a video or something i would of had the ability to figure things out like now if i dont know something i go and watch a couple videos til im sure what they are doing is correct before i do it myself. Right now i got a Gt Eclipse i would like to put some led in but it has a dial inside by the fog light switch that allows me to raise or lower my headlights beam. So if it is foggy i can point them more down at the road or up to blind someone who wont turn their highbeams off. I want to find a set that will connect up and work with the little motor that changes the angle of beams. I bought a set already then rembered about the dial and so i emailed the seller but never got a response which prob means no they wont work that way.
Where is bank 2 sensor 1 located on 2005 Hyundai tucson 2.7 ltr 6cyl
Rear manifold, top is sensor 1
Hey brother do you know how much is the cost to update it triton d10
10 year snap on user, always hated how restrictive their software is. Every time I couldn't do something with it on certain models, it would appear the autel could. I still use it though, just to pull codes and see PIDs. It's certainly more direct and faster to have a quick plug in and see than the Autel. Like a kids ipad for navigating modules and special functions.
Agreed
Blessings my brother. I hope you continue to produce videos.
Working on getting back at it, been so busy 💪🏽🙏🏽
Watching from France..Very good explanation..Thanks.Merci..Jesus..May God helps you in your jobs..
Is it safe for me to use Denso brand? I heard you say Bosch is the way to go and I have a 2005 Hyundai Tucson GLS V6 engine? Which would you say stick with Denso or Bosch?
You should be fine either or
That's not apples to apples. my snap on verus edge is bluetooth. and my autel pocket scanner is wired
What size monitor is that?
I believe it’s 19.5
I have the D10. I got it over the Zeus because of the chord. Blue tooth data is not as fast or clear. I have multiple scanners. The snapon is far superior. You will always need multiple scanners anyway.
Yes having multiple is a must if your in the field. I had to use the autel today to perform a etb reset and a relearn on a Kia
I recently got an autel. It is much slower than my D10. Mostly due to the blue tooth. I am really impressed with my d10.
What a waste of time , learned exactly nothing .
Most importantly, you didn't learn to spell or proof read 👌
@chasechevy8933 English is 4th language so maybe I misspell, point is still very valid and you can fuck off now.
Camera means next to nothing , bluetooth sucks because guys let the dongle in the customer cars and getting them to bring it back can be a pain .
I have 2007 Tuscon 2.0L. Code p0133 came up says bank 1 sensor 1 is this the same location as the video.
Yes, but first I would look at your mas flow sensor, make sure it’s clean and not dirty. Check for vacuum leaks, if all that checks out then replace the sensor.
Yes this is the same sensor but before replacing it as @unitedbychristmusic mentioned Step one- inspect for vacuum leaks Step two- clean mas air flow sensor and or replace air filter Step three then rescue 02 sensor. Inspect your catalyst converter during removal of sensor. Grab a light and see if you can see the inside of the catalyst converter collapsed. Hope this helps, it’s easier to determine these things with a scanner
When doing video name of socket and size
Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question. My husband used to do all the car maintenance, but passed unexpectedly so I'm trying to figure some things out instead of being taken for a ride at my local shop. Question is, you said you used your dewalt-- how? It doesn't seem there's room for it. Is there an adapter that fits on the special O2 removal tool/part? I need to replace all 4 on my '06...
I put an adapter bit on it, harbor freight has them for like $6 I made the video keeping in mind that not everyone has tools, there are far better tools to use. But I understand if you can’t get a hold of them. You will need the 02 sensor socket and a breaker bar if you don’t have the impact gun
@@DrivenbyfaithAutomotive thanks I appreciate the reply
Im about to buy the D10 to upgrade from my modis ultra that I bought i think right about when they came out 9 years ago I never had an issue with it other than the battery needs to be replaced The shop has a maxisys but android system feels very glitchy and slow compared with my modis If you are doing alot of diagnostics Save yourself the headache and invest in a high quality snapon scanner it will pay for itself overtime
The autel maxisys ultra or any of the launch based scanners are better for diag then the snapon. More bidirectional testing and better oscilloscope features then the snapon.
That's not really a toyota . it's a BUM .i mean BMW
Bluetoof.
من الماسف كل الفيديوهات والافلام المترجمة إلي اللغه العربية ركيك جدا جدا جدا
The worst part of this review is how he pronounced the name TritOn... who the hell says it that way?
I do!!!! 😂
Sure is a plus,, a Machanic without a scope can't really figure out problems, l know it's more money but the Snapon pays for itself
Exactly, the scope and live data on snap on is the best in my opinion. I use it everyday 💪🏽
Thank you, sir !!!
💪🏽👍🏽🚗
The newer autels like the ms909 have the topology map for the different networks on the vehicle and the 919 has a four channel scope built into the VCI. I love the graphing on the snap on scan tools and I keep a current one in the arsenal like the Triton D10 at the moment. The Autel really can’t be beat when it comes to the functionality you get for your money.
Yes, having both in the arsenal is really nice, but you really have to be in this field and have the funds for it. Thanks for your info awesome to see other techs input 💪🏽 🚗
Hello, I am looking to spend around $1200 for a scanner. I can get a used solus edge for that price with around 16-18 software. Or I can get an autel for around that price. I am mostly going to use it for graphing data and bidirectional controls. What would you say is best for a DIYer?
@@timothylockhart2009 my buddy has a solus edge and he loves that thing he uses it everyday. I’d say go for it that’s a decent price.
@@DrivenbyfaithAutomotive my buddy does too and I'd love to be as good as he is at diagnosing. I just see all the fancy RUclipsrs with autel for some reason. Thanks
What did you end up choosing? Im looking at a solus legend or an autel MK906BT to replace my solus ultra.
Would love to see some diag videos with the snap on scope!
Just bought one myself. I LOVE IT!
You think is a good idea get one o those, but used???!!!
Depends, are you full time in the industry or part time?
Sometimes, but I don’t know if the scanner works if no upgrades!
@@danielbm7423 it works, the upgrades are usually for newer vehicles added. If you can get a great deal go for it. But if it’s to get it and leave it on the shelf, don’t waste your money, go with the autel
I got you
A gay is offering a tritond10 for 2k, don’t check it yet
I have Tucson 2008 4 cylinder,is the location of o2 sensor is same or in different place ?
Should be located in the same area
@@DrivenbyfaithAutomotive not really ,I just checked.
Nice video! These are shocks though
Your right I wrote struts lol
Snap On Scanners look so outdated and way overpriced
I think you missed the point, Looks like a really nice scanner but I didn't get to see any action....
It’s pronounced Tri*tin* not Trit-On
mmm... you couldn't make a point. you must know both machine very well to be able to make a fair comparison
