constractive critisism: when we resort to RUclips is because we need to learn and the most important part of this experience is the visual offered by the tutor. Not showing detail, no matter how good the host is I will get nothing out of this. Do it during day time with good lighting, Take your time and put yourself in my position and you will achieve success.
Same method you used on trailing arm front bushes i used on rear, but what a hassle. But how to put rear one's back in (i have a 41mm socket which same diameter as rear bush collar).

Great team work. Hope to see your daughter doing a repair in the future. Everyone should learn about cars. Young people are fast learners and have good memory, once they have been given a chance to do a repair or maintenance they will remember it for a lifetime.
Nice work 👏
might help to remove the radiator cap and overflow bottle isnt screwed on it will pull out but thanks for sharing
Did they have a 3pmsf Symbol? Thanks
@5:30 - did you drain much coolant after removing the water drain nut?
Probably about half. I just followed the video so can confirm about 4-5 litres
@@FredRAWtify - I decided to just do the radiator drain. Therefore I only replaced about half the coolant. But I figured if I change it every two years, I will keep everything fresh.
Awesome vid. Just helped me out. Many thank
SL386 or SL369? make your mind up.
SL369
He made a mistake in both the title of the video and in the video, but he was able to change the title of the video
it wouldve been nice to know the tyre/rim sizes, so i can better appreciate the tyre profile/proportions
Sound good Are they OK/ noisy highway?
Good to see you are updating. Have you done any serious off road work? I'm not sure if you are simply driving on bitumen
I know this is a little while on now; but for anyone doing this and still having the SRS airbag light on, it is entirely likely the fault code needs to be cleared with a OBDII diagnostic tool to reset the light. A lot of modern cars won't reset the engine light or airbag light unless it is reset. This is probably common knowledge for a lot of you, but handy for anyone who didn't know :)
hey mate, wondering if you've had an issue after a year or so with this setup?
It has been working fine with no issues
M+S ? Or just sommer
just summer
They are M+S most all terrains are M+S rated
@@andreysh4882 they are M+S rated they are not a street tire they are an all terrain
Hey mate, How are these going? Any issues with them?
So far I have been nothing but happy with them I've been meaning to do an update but life's been busy, I think for price compared to major brand there good, I just put some onto my daughters mitsubishi mirage
Thanks for the reply. Looking at getting a set for a Grand Vitara
Fabulous - it's great when you get the kids involved. Also it's so good to see an easy step by step demonstration. Bravo kids !!!!
Hello Charli's dad
Yup just got the Gen 2 close outs 4 for like $120. Made an under the toolbox bracket to hold them on my Trail Boss The tether is a good idea 👍
Had this done today by "Bits-are-missing" (Mitsubishi) and it was $650 for genuine part and labor.
Bloody hell they ripped you off. I got one off eBay for $26 and put it in in less then 30 mins.
@@chrisah1000hot that’s why they are the “stealership” (Dealership) hahaha 😄
Nice work space mate….. 👍🏻👍🏻
os your dog a XOLO ?
Your over flow bottle isnt bolted in, just pulls up off the bracket. No need for the syringe 👌 you may have to shift your battery towards the firewall to get it back in if your limited for room. Once out can give it a good clean with the hose. Thanks for the vid, I need to drain my system after the oil cooler cracked on my NW and dumped oil in the cooling system 😫
I just cleaned mine a few hours ago and easy to pull from the bracket.
Now how much coolant did the entire system take ?
If you check owners handbook all required fluid types and levels are in the back. But you will need 9 litres if there is no rear aircon, or 10.5 litres if you have one on your model. Super important though don't mix different kinds of radiator fluid.
@@mitsiguy2695 thanks
Good deal!
I love mine. Great value
Try doing it at day time so we can see what your doing and you concentrate so mush on the flushing fluid it takes up most part of you movie. Boring!
Sorry w asnt trying to entertain
Shut up Pieter
Any good on wet roads, ive run coopers or bf goodrich, good tryes but the price. My dad runs cheap tryes on his triton and cant think of the brand but no good in the wet. These tryes look like they are good value.
I have had no problems with them in the wet. I have driven them on way roads and wet muddy tracks, whilst they are not as good as mud tyres on muddy tracks they have got me where I need to go and the price difference makes them worth it
You don't cut nuts off! Use an extension bar or breaker bar and oxy
Never use a lift kit on IFS or IRS
Good one, thanks!
I never use radiator flush chemicals, just undo bottom radiator hose and flush bottom of radiator with garden hose, then put hose back and refill with coolant.
Thanks for the story.
Did you tighten control arm bolts and lower strut bolt straight away or did you have to drop it down to the ground before re-tightening it? Manual was saying temporarily tighten and then have to lower down the car to the ground before tightening it, but it would be difficult to do that when the wheel is back on the ground.
I think these are branded "Westlake" here in the USA. Tire for my Ford F-150 is only $108 each. Name brand ones are $170+ I'm going to order a set.
G'day mate. Was looking to buy these for some "soft roading" in queensland. Do you recommend these tyres over something like a federal? Thanks mate!
Great video, I'm thinking of installing rear spacers. Would you perhaps know if the lift is a 1:1 ratio?
I know it’s late but it won’t be 1:1 but they’re usually advertised as the achieved lift
hey mate you are reviewing the SL369 not the SL386 !!
Thanks man, I changed the title
Where was the connector pin?I have just replaced mine and the light is still on.
After replacing failed to work I took it too mitsubishi they charged 70 bucks to fix it. I surmised they looked at the car side of the connector to the clock spring and pushed the pin back into place
@@mitsiguy2695 I doubt it, I bet they just cleared the airbag light and charged $70
Where did you get your kit from.
Just off ebay
Clever idea with the Dremel! Worked at a shop once where 'Earl' (most seniority) would put a deep set socket over that shock nut and with a breaker bar, just muscle it back and forth like breaking a paper clip and it would shear off just below the upper bushing!
Hey buddy is three A and rapid are good brand tyres ??
no
Try goodride/westlake, In CHN they are gov company.
Hey @mitsiguy those tyres would needed a lot of heat to warrant understeer on a Hwy, like a fark load of heat. Have you tried a temp gauge to see what they are holding after say 40 minutes on a concrete hwy? I come from performance cars world and have tried the most expensive to the cheapest I can buy to fit my rim sizes and on tract days where I flog each tyre to melting point in some cases, For a truck type tyre to be a point of understeer on the hwy due to heat really blows my mind. I ask this as I am currently looking at buying some for my Ranger, and I do a shit load of hwy driving on concrete
No I havnt done heat test, I am no tyre expert just making observations. So far I have no complaints it was the price that got me have to if t h at only lasted half as long as a name brand tyre I figured I was still ahead, I was able to buy 5 tyres for way less than 4 top brand ones
@@mitsiguy2695 Thanks for the vid and reply, I am currently tossing up between the hybrid Nitto ridge grapplers at $450 a tyre or these good ride SL at $170 a tyre. Obviously the $280 saving says go for it, though I tyres are what do save you in that 1 moment you really need them to. After your vid, I think I'll give the good ride a crack. Cheers
@@xr6tgtx737 any update on your goodrides? was it worth it?
was your horn still working when your clockspring failed?
Yes
Hi mate are they any good, my local shop has these ,from U.K..
I have just completed another review at 25000km, I am still happy with them particularly at the price point.
Thanks for your video, I followed your instructions, ( My steering wheel was really stuck onto the spline I had to make a wheel puller from steel bar with holes 55mm apart using 2 M8 bolts to spring it loose ) Unfortunately like yours the airbag and the ABS lights are still on...... Other steering wheel controls are now working.
