Kelly Ryan Manure Spreader First Test Mixing Compost
Просмотров 1 тыс.3 месяца назад
I recently purchased a new to me Kelly Ryan manure spreader at a retirement auction near me. In this video I am filling it with everything I need to make compost for my gardens so I am testing it out to see how well it mixes everything when unloading and to generally see how well it handles a load.

Leight on yield? Wagon tender is bored. Hhann you.
First cutting on a pasture that was grazed until early spring.
Great looking tractor and the hay looks ready to bale .
The end of a sweet corn patch means the end of summer is near.
The pliers in the holster is a good idea
Very handy
Looks like ya got a decent breeze blowing at least
Plenty of gears, shafts and chains to get tangled up in. Reminds me of my youth
Dad bought a 4718 new in 1978. We still use it. Great machine.
Keep practicing
Did u get rid of ZETOR
@@dominikpiskoric9649 never 🇨🇿
I use to do that. I don’t like the no till today. All the sprays. No good.
Do you do Conventional Farming? I truly like that best. Hate gmo
It was good. We did 235 on corn and 80 to 85 on beans in IL.
Where did you get all these old machines?
Mostly local auctions, but Facebook marketplace as well.
@@RuralMidwest I’ll be darn. On FB. That site I never dreamed would have good tractors. My one Uncle collected old tractors. He accumulated almost 60 before his passing a few years ago.
@@Edward-tp5nc I bought the 504 privately from an guy in Nebraska from a listing on TractorHouse.com he bought it new in 1962.
My Uncles and My Dad had all John Deere. And one had a Massey Combine. All good.
Oh my. I noticed. Been a long time since I saw this happen.
Poor baby!!
It’s an infection of the Udder, Causing infected milk, bleeding coagulation, pain must be cured with antibiotics and different steps to clean out the bag before milk production can resume. Sometimes it only happens in one or two nipples, sometimes the whole bag can be infected. It can be very painful to the cow, in most cases it is
Glow plugs will start the engine even at mines 25 if the batteries are in good condition. IH fixed the 560 axle problem,it was a great tractor. The 1206s also had axle issues many broke in the fields working, allowing the duals to crunch into the cab sometimes in extremely rough conditions.
Now you can widen the frame and add the shanks back in , High 1st direct is plenty fast enough after adding about 3 to the frame work.
These will run forever. I have seen them as as small kid everywhere back in the day. 30 years later they were replaced with newer models but smaller farms still have them and use them daily. Even a snow plowing company we contract on yearly basis to remove snow from a parking lot and driveway is still using one from 80s.
at one time around here, you could hear a popping JD running from daylight till dark April till December.
I appreciate the video man. Have a recommendation on the rebuild kit itself?
I ordered my rebuild kit through my local Napa they are from A&I Products. Good stuff it all fit and works good.
You got all the disks and also the seals? @@RuralMidwest
@@SplitReins yes I did, all through my local napa
Hello again. So when I tore into my brakes the left side was missing the friction plates pads but had a fresh piston. I bought some off of a different 706. The outer cover ended up being shallower. And one of the friction disks was much thinner than what was on the right side. Not worn. Just thinner. Not having much luck finding any info. Any suggestions? One set of the parts aren't from a 706 I believe. Similar but not similar enough.
@@SplitReins Ok, so when I did mine I ordered an entirely new piston from NAPA (a&i products) that new piston came with an already bonded friction pad on it. I believe that is what you are referring to? throughout the entire brake assembly that can be differences that is why you have self adjusting screws on the brakes to take out that play. Hopefully that is helpful. I am not a mechanic though I am just an average guy trying to make it work also lol
Cool video my friend I have a 66 Cub original that hasn't ran in over 15 years thinking about doing the same thing show a video of it finally coming back to life again
Thanks for sharing your experience!! It was lot of help!!
Good to see the 504, I dont use my gas 504 much cause it runs so hot , temp gauge pegs out with just a 5 ft brush hog in light mowing.
Sounds like mechanical issues
Cuanto por el camion
Having to patch in like that sucks! Hope the replant can grow and make it!
Farmer behind us in the 70s used to plant corn with one. Seemed he never got much above idle. Pop-pop-pop-pop-pop for hours on end. Loved that sound.
Brings back memories
Should just rake and bale thats all most do. If you want them ground up a hay grinder does that fir you makes super bedding and lot of guys feed them
This is a very small portion of the stalk bales we make in a year, we do 99% round bales and we don't mow the stalks we just rake it and bale it. My brother who raises hogs wanted to mow it so he can have finer bedding. We also find that his square baler handles it much better when it is mulched up.
Thanks for sharing! Just pulled a brake off my 866 and it looks similar enough for me to have an idea what im dealing with now. Thanks! :D
Thank you, glad this was helpful.
With all of the shields missing you better be darn careful.
Always mindful of moving parts. Would like to find a set of shields for it.
They started to build the Zetor 8011 and 8045 same style as your zetor in 1969 I am in 🇬🇧 and we have had many Zetors over the years a very good tractors
Would love to have this.
I will watch closely as I have one too. Seems you have some talent.
Got a 68 750 with twin axles. Great truck
zetors are used to this day, on lot of farms in slovak republic, i know that because we using one for 30 years in row to this day in slovak republic,
They where a decent tractor, plenty of horsepower for the money. Maybe not the most comfortable but what was in those days. Good useable tractor
I have this exact tractor and trying to change fluid..hydraulic and tranny can u help me
I have a 62 gas, wide frnt. 3 pt. I have the heavy wide frnt. I also have a 65 606 with 2001 loader. Looking forward to videos. My 504 is the most cold natured and hard starting tractor I own but you are right, very sharp looking.
Sounds sort of like half again more rpm than it should have. Clutch didn’t have the strength for the hp it was putting out.
The little brother to the 706 is the 606 not the 504😅
They are all the little brother, the 504 is the 4 cylinder version so I call it the little brother 😁
This reminds me of my own hay operation. If it's not one thing, it's another... that breaks, won't run, catches on something, or it rains! But I still love it. Fortunately, I'm only making enough hay for my own 2 horses. About 200 bales each year. Maybe when I retire in a few years, I'll have time to cut and bale more hay to sell. And then, only if I want to.
I have 2 656's with the D282. One Hydro and one gear drive. They were designed to use the glow plugs regardless of the temperature. The gear drive one I have will start in any weather without being plugged in. Just use the glow plugs. They get a bad rap, but they work for me. Spent a lot of time on a 504. The TA lever should stay back when you pull it. Something is wrong if it doesn't. Nice little tractor.
Your wrong about the tork it will lock back in low range
Must be so much slop in my lever that the previous owner added a spring to keep it forward.
Where did you get the new “glue on discs” ? Can’t find them anywhere
What I referred to as the glue on discs was actually piston plate itself which I got from A&I. I ordered everything through my local NAPA. That disc comes pre bonded
Thanks
Very cool tractor!
Once you get it checked over good make us a video of it grinding hog feed. Bet that'll clean the carbon out
Pretty neat tractor, sounds dam good
Great old tractor, loads of power, and your is in really good condition thin work, most fell apart and were never put together again, parts should be easy got, good luck with getting it running, I’ve only driven them as a second option,
