Jesus… Opeth and PT! I only wish to have seen that. I just got tickets to my first Opeth show in my hometown in Brooklyn, NY. I am over the moon. And saw PT in 2022. My bucket list is shrinking.
When i discovered them is when a very many others discovered them. U r all welcome
Man Joakim’s backing vocals here are incredible, especially on In My Time Of Need.
My physical therapist (sciatica) turn me on to this. NICE.
28:21 - is that jordan rudess?
The best.
How is this still up ?
Shhhh! Praise the algorithm, don't question it! ;D
We need a follow up to this masterpiece 🥹🥹. Dont care if JPJ is almost 80 now. 7 decades of #1 hits put together cant be limited to just 1 album
Lo mejor que he escuchado hoy

После всех блокировок ютуб у нас в стране, это то видео, которое я скачаю на любой носитель в первую очередь. Даже если это будет кассета магнитофона 90-х годов.
What is this? Why is Lasse Åberg playing and singing in a band?
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
کسی ایرانی اینجا هست؟؟؟
There were two and a half Iranians here. They headbanged with a fury that the Ayatollah could never match...
F%CK YES .We need another TCV Record! Anyone agree??
I can tell you that now in 2024 Deadwing is a classic album. Love it.
This man put out 3 albums as a kid in his bedroom before putting a band together. Talk about faking it until you make it! What a legend!
Opeth musicianship is so good. Only matched by their ability to do live performance consistently better than studio
Deadwing was the first PT album I was a bit dissappointed with. There's some really cool tracks there, even amongst the B sides.........but the album didn't really made me FEEL connected to it. I prefer both FOABP and In Absentia to it, by a large margin. It's still better than The Incident though.
And Grounded.
And a not 2 shabby counjurer!. As per 2010 Royal Albert Hall Gig
legend has it lars was originally supposed to play drums in this band.
My father watched this so many times that he knows the jokes and lines between the songes all out of his head.
Wow, this is an incredible performance. Saw them live, Sonisphere 2011, and they were ace, but this!!!!??? The musicianship in this performance is on another level. And the mixing? Top notch. Love it!
Is this an authorized documentary?
This is srange music haha think i should like it
This is like what a lot of metal acts could have been if only sober... Excellent soundscape opeth
Beautiful music
They killed it with Mastadon. Would love to see them both again.
Never Heard Of this band I'm A Judas Priest Fan BUT IM HOOKED NOW!!!!!!!
As a big Japan fan, Richard's contribution cannot be overemphasised. His atmospheric soundscapes. are what makes PT so great. Couple that with kicking new songs and throwing the genius of Gavin into the mix (what musician wouldn't be inspired by playing with him?!), makes this a superb desert-Island album.
A. Holy shit they're so good live; I need to see them again ASAP B. I need to see a show at Red Rocks before I die.
Oh yeah! You really should see them. And yes, Red Rocks seems an amazing venue! I just saw Opeth live on June 30th (have one video from the set, there is a full set available on RUclips from the "front row", check it out: Opeth Tuska Full Set) and have tickets to the next one in February which will be for the "Last Will and Testament". So happy! Best Opeth concert I've seen was in Tallin, Estonia at this small club "Helitehas". The set was on RUclips but I guess that the channel got ax'd. There are videos for Mikael's ramblings between the songs and you can see/feel the small venue energy from them as well. :)
Usually a PRS guitar can make you sound good. In the case of Opeth however, they make a PRS sound incredible.
Fkin, leather jacket crew..sick.
Gracias por este conciertazo
1:13:07 the Best song on the Album Godbless you boy's
A guitar solo that always reminds me of "Jerry was a race car driver"
These guys are on the top of their game.
first class metal was defined
Dave’s dream of being John.
Situation as follows: Mr Ackerfeld one day just states that growling is no longer on the menu. You loved the growls, really. But you are a fan. A real fan. So you just went with it. I mean the albums without growls were not bad after all. He's a nice person too. Over the years you went to some concerts, listened to some albums, maybe even forgot about the old ones a bit. You long forgot about the growls and the pure, earthy, gutty feeling they caused inside your stomach. You live your life. Get promoted at work. Have a kid or two maybe. One day your friend hits you up. "Hey Opeth live, I'll get tickets, you in?" YOU IN! There you stand. Sorceress intro hits you like a train that won't stop. you enjoy. Nice vocals also. Outro also epic. Then they mess around. Weird sounds, not really a song. you hear the BELL. You remember the bell from somewhere. This bell triggers feelings in you. What are those feelings, those memories? He can't play that song, how will he sing it? Those 8 seconds, they must have been so tense full. What happened next might have destroyed you. GHOST OF
And then, suddently a new album. A new single and new growls! :) I don't care for the Old'peth album growls, but I've grown to like the live growls. And this new album seems to have the "live growls" on the album so I am hyped. Already ordered the box set and got my tickets to see the first concert on the new tour in Helsinki, Finland in February 2025! :D I went to Tallin, Estonia to see the opening gig for their 2022 tour and it was AMAZING! Small club, "Helitehas" (1500-2000 people). Great set, great atmosphere, great ramblings between songs, such an experience!
Incredible musicians. That drummer man. And vocals and harmonies, superb.
MUCH more love and respect needs to be given to Richard Barbieri…He is one of the seminal synth pioneers, through his work with Japan (and everything related that followed) and 46 years later he's still innovating and a key member of one of the greatest bands in the World. 😔
Opeth Is My Opium!
Deadwing was my entry point to the world of Steven Wilson and PT. It is still my favorite thing the band did. Thanks to my friend Eric who opened the door in 2007!
What luck that these four exceptional talents came together. Porcupine Tree is one of the best bands for me 🕊✨🌈🙏🏻🔥✌🏻
Wow! I watched the In Absentia Documentary on this same channel, and now Deadwing, are they releasing a Fear of a blank planet one? With that they will encompass the TRILOGY OF THEIR BEST THREE ABUMS.
