Don’t forget the water
Water is great for a wood fire. But for a grease fire, water is a dangerous choice. It can cause the oil to splash and spread the fire.
🩷💜🤍💜🩷 New Sub, TFS!!
Welcome! Happy to have you here!
This almond milk looks delicious ❤
Thank you! It is!
You cant milk an almond.
🤣🤣🤣 Reminds me of some hilarious almond milk memes.
Hello, I just came across your channel. I love to do the baking kits in a jar. I only have a few right now, but I'm looking forward to seeing which ones you have!
Welcome! I love baking kits. It’s such a great way to prep ahead and make baking more convenient! I’ve got more to upload this coming month. Check my channel for the brownie kit. I’ll be uploading whole wheat pancakes next. Stay tuned!
Beautiful! So talented 👍🏽😁
Thank you! ❤
Very cute idea!
Thank you! You could make them for practically any occasion! ❤️
This is wonderful thank you for including how to do it by hand in your description.
You’re welcome! I hope you like it.
Is it normal for it to be chewy and have a very hard crust
Yes, it’s common for many sourdough recipes to be chewy on the inside with a hard crust. What you can do is put it in a bag after it has cooled for one hour and the remaining residual heat will soften the crust.
Sourdough recipes with sugar/ honey and oil, make for a much softer bread.
You play well! And it’s one of my favorite hymns.
Thank you, Amanda! I really enjoyed this one.
Great video! I love make ahead recipes, especially during the holidays. How many rolls does this recipe make?
Thanks! Each jar makes 18 medium sized rolls.
For post brain surgery you look amazing! I love you so much! Sending all the love hugs and prayers!
Ahhh thank you Elaine! Sure miss you!!!
Praise God! I pray your recovery is quick with no complications! Amen! Maranatha! 💞✝️
Thank you! ❤️❤️❤️
How do I get this?
I buy from Azure Standard. If you’re in the US, you can buy through them. Https://www.azurestandard.com/?a_aid=c40c4bcd81
You look amazing for just having had brain surgery 😊 Continued prayers and love your way. Thanks for the update ❤
Thank you Karen! ❤️❤️❤️
Love this idea! Thank you! Going to make some soon with my daughter
I think the word sextuple comes after quadruple and quintuple. It’s a weird word for counting multiplications of a recipe.
You’re totally right and after I posted I remembered. Hahaha
Thank you!!
You're welcome! This reminded me that when my new canner gauge is calibrated, I’m going to be sharing more pressure canning tutorials and tips.
Oooooo bubbly ❤
Good to know! Thanks!
You’re welcome! Happy New Year!
Simple and easy! Thanks
You’re welcome! My family requests this for all holidays. 😁
Praying for you! 🩷
Thank you!!
I’m broke and hungry and you made my month thank you 😋
I hope you’ll come back. ❤️ I love to make budget friendly foods and teach others also.
Supporting you all the way. Hugs and prayers along your journey. Will you be awake during surgery? You are so brave. 😊❤
I will thankfully be completely out. I’ve talked to the doctors about my concern for anesthesia because with Ehlers Danlos, it doesn’t always work or it wears off quickly. Like my twins’ c-section that I felt. 😖
@ ouch. That sounds like a scary concern for sure. They will take good care of you. Sounds like you are in very good hands.
Genius! Thank you!
You’re welcome!
Onion skins do not add flavor to broth. Onion skins get discarded.
I would disagree on that. But I also don’t put just the papery skin in it. When I cut off the end, I include those as well.
I admire how organized you are. 🙌😘💛👏
🤣🤣🤣 I almost mentioned how crowded this counter is because I haven’t cleaned up yet from baking bread earlier.
@ your bread looked heavenly 💛
Oh no the crooked fork. Why do we keep them around. 😅
🤣🤣🤣 For real. I wonder if this fork has been excavating in the gardens.
@ 😆💛
You look like a great mom and an amazing chef
Aw thanks so much! ❤
Continue cooking grease again afterwards 😂
The hershes chocolate ruined them.
If you’re not a fan of the chocolate kiss addition, the cookies taste great by themselves. Or you could experiment with other brand chocolate chips or chopped up chocolate chunks of your choice.
That looks sooooo yummy 😋
Thanks to a video i seen on RUclips just like this year's ago, i do this all the time!!!! Save the stem part of peppers where you cop off the top of the peppers, that gives you spicy broth!!!❤❤❤
Ohhh hadn’t thought of trying the stems; I’ll try that! Though pepper seeds ended up making my broth bitter.
Subbed ❤!
Thank you! And welcome!
Also you shouldnt have to flip them. Once that oil renders off, it'll continue cooking the bacon. Saves you the hassle of flipping or getting hit with grease.
True! I noticed as I did the rest of the bacon after what I filmed, I didn’t have to flip and it still cooked both sides nicely. I’m used to flipping them on the stove or cooking up chopped up bacon in the oven.
@lifehomemade gotcha. I didn't realize it was your first time as most home cooks don't know about it unless they're considered advanced or professional. Either way I love this trick for seasoning pans and I've even done it with cast iron too. Keep cooking!
It’s funny it took me over 2 decades of cooking in the oven to realize I didn’t have to flip them. 😆 But that’s mainly because I usually do chopped bacon.
@@lifehomemadeFlipping just feels like we're contributing more than we should. LoL
I’ve always just used a standard metal baking sheet with edges. Paper towels on plate to dry out bacon once it’s done cooking.
Yes! That’s what I used to do as well before I realized it could seasoning my stoneware or cast iron pans in the process. We use paper towels sometimes- just depends on what the bacon is going in after being cooked. This went into broccoli & bacon soup and the extra grease still on the bacon contributed to the flavor.
the extra parts of leeks too!
Yes totally right! Leeks are a lovely taste between a green onion and celery and works great for broth.
My family would make stock from bones we collected in the freezer. Never thought to collect vegetable scraps, considered those compost.
Love it! And the scraps can go to compost afterwards.
@lifehomemade Cooked food isn’t great for composting.
Cooked food is often high in nitrogen, which can disrupt the necessary balance of carbon and nitrogen in a compost pile. Meat and dairy can attract the wrong pest and rodents.
@@genericamerican7574This brings up a good point. You will want to add your salt, spices, and anything else after making the broth and straining it. This way the cooked vegetable scraps you add to compost won’t have any of that in it. Salt, dairy, and meat products can complicate some types of composting.
Those look HEAVENLY ❤
They really are so tasty!
I think it's saying HELLO 😊
Wow, I didn't know you could dry your sourdough starter. Thanks for sharing.❤
You’re welcome!
Beautiful 🎶🎵
Thank you! ❤
I tried this, but it doesn’t work. The consistency is not the same so I have to wait for bread flour to go on sale in order to make things in my bread machine.
I’m sorry it didn’t work for you. That’s all bread flour is- flour and added gluten. But if gluten or all-purpose flour is older, it’s weaker.
I like to recommend people keep their gluten and flours in their freezer if they don’t use it frequently so it can stay fresh.
Try sifting it together
@@Here_Today_yes! Sifting it together was in the original clip- but I shortened it. I’ll add that to the description. Sift it together or at least whisk it together.
How do I make gluten to put into the all purpose flour to make bread flour... 😅😂
Great question! I just updated my description wirh more details. I used to buy mine at grocery stores. But now I get it in larger quantities through Azure Standard since I use 3/4 cup of it in my whole wheat bread recipe that makes 4 large loaves.
Lol I think you’d be more likely to have bread flour over gluten…. But this is interesting
Some people might. But I know a lot of people that have gluten and not bread flour. 😁 It’s good to have options.
You mean gluten flour, like Bob's Red Mill gluten flour? I want to try this with my sour dough starter. Thank you!
Yes exactly like Bob’s Red Mill gluten flour. I updated my description to talk about that. If you don’t use it often, it’s a good idea to keep in your freezer so it stays fresh longer.
Awesome, i will be experimenting and making my own. Thank you 😊
You’re welcome!
Mom and dad are definitely doing something right with that girl. 👏💛
Use a wood spatula, avoid metal scraping the pan.
Thanks for bringing this up. If you have a non-stick pan, definitely use wood or nylon so as to not ruin the coating. My pan, however, is cast iron. The metal is not going to ruin it. Of course, if the sound of metal on metal bothers you, a wood or nylon spatula would do just fine.
