      Rude and disrespectful of both of you to provide this quality of audio as fit to listen to by the viewers. Both of you, with your headphones on, merrily ramble on and reflect on anything and everything but the very basics to start with.

      @@droptop4848 Thanks for feedback. In terms of the audio I have not received any feedback like this, even from friendlier sources where one would expect such feedback for the sake of improvement. You also seem to criticise us for "rambling on" with everything but the "very basics to start with". Are the basics the audio system or are you saying we missed out on discussing the basics of the topic: therapist as shaman? If you mean the latter, maybe you could point us to roughly what "basics" you are meaning . Could be useful. Thanks, John

Hearing about John's experiences is incredibly helpful as someone having had experiences in my own journeys of the depths and not being able to speak about them to most people in my life, if anyone at times. I entered analysis with Michael Vannoy Adams to begin a journey to face inner truths being revealed to me in my dreams and ultimately to face myself and my self perceptions and self concept and embark upon my meaningful like journey more self aware and connected to myself and my friends and family … I brought my focus, energy and sincerity Into the sessions where I trusted Michael with sharing of my most personal feelings and conscious thoughts and deepest forms of self expression, my inner sanctum … and unfortunately Michael was unable to handle and process his feelings in the analysis where Michael began to recklessly gaslight and play out his inner sadistic fantasies in our sessions where he would attempt to critique my physical appearance (not feminine enough for his tastes) where he instructed me to get my ears pierced, wear makeup and high heeled shoes and to explore objectifying myself to please him … I was 30 years younger than he was and apparently he was unable to process the attraction he felt towards me in a safe private way and keep that out of our sessions and Michele began acting out in our sessions( gaslighting conflicts and being hyper critical of me where he also began projecting demonic imagery onto me like I was a demon sent to tempt him …this really hurt me and i experienced his projections as a kind of terror I was unprepared for where i literally felt demonized and unworthy of my life … it was a terrible and dangerous place to go and feel in the therapeutic space … which is supposed to feel safe… I felt unsafe in sessions with Michael …. where Michal spoke of Wotan and other pagan archetypes and then Michael pressed me to buy his books if i didnt understand what he meant by a mythological unconscious … I was young and unfortunately succumbed to a very destructive transference in the therapy where I began seeing Michael every day “to work on myself and fix my failing personae which was not feminine enough for Michael ) where I was pressed to pay for these daily sessions where I cashed out my IRA to give Michael all of my money so he could enact repeated pygmalion fantasies in our sessions and “fix me” and make me more desirable and feminine to please a male audience … looking back the abuse and betrayal I experienced on that analysis was truly terrible … when Michael began to realize he had gone too far with the abuse, where I shared I was not sure how I would continue to pay him over $4000 a month for sessions, he threatened total abandonment of me to break me and he refused to give me a referral to another analyst to help me process the deep emotional pain and turmoil I was in suffering through that abusive analysis with Michael… Michael also began recommending I use services he endorse as part of his personal network of services to get his friends work which was also very inappropriate and he engaged in bizarre coaching in our sessions shaming me for not earning more money to pay him more and instructed me on how I should then get more money Fromm my employer and charge more on my invoices … things culminated when i followed his pressuring advice and drafted an invoice to charge my employer for my unpaid personal time devoted to a commissioned project where I felt that my submitting this invoice would get me dismissed from the project where Michael told me to be more forceful and submit the invoice to get more money from the employer and when I submitted the invoice my employer dropped their pen in shock and said the invoice for my personal time was inappropriate wheee I was then eventually dismissed from the project for creating tension at work which was very damaging and humiliating for me and when I told Michael of this failure at work, he began gasligjtong further conflict to get me to leave the session in tears where he then said the analysis was over and refused to give me a referral to a new analyst, I suspect because he didn’t want his abusive behavior explored in sessions with one of his jungian colleagues … i was in shock at the collapse of the therapeutic relationship and then registered for an object relations class at a local university so I could hopefully take control of my healing and get help and meet some professional therapists to help me understand what had happened to me and what had gone wrong and to help me understand why I was in so much emotional pain, turmoil, shock and fear … when I explained what happened in the therapy, I got the help I needed with a different therapist who did not abuse me and was truthful with me and did not want to break me or tear me down or dominate me…I felt safe in therapy again and got help … then I resumed my long journey of healing and analysis of my dreams with new people who were more trustworthy and safe

    This was a fantastic interview with Robert. I began reading his books in the 90's and went on to take a lot of workshops and finally to take his Dream Teacher Training. Revival of a dreaming society has really become important to me. I have a weekly dream circle where we share our dreams using the Active Dreaming method and i think it's fair to say it has enriched all or our lives. Sharing dreams,keeping a dream journal and actively working with the information that you receive in your dreams has so many positive effects on the group as a whole and individually. I always tell people who can't make it to dream circle to share those dreams over the breakfast table, it enriches family bonds too. Robert is an amazing storyteller so learning his methods was easy and always a lot of fun. He gave me a gift that i will always love sharing with others.

    I send my warm condolences to Lisa for her family members and everything else she has lost in the past two years. It's remarkable of her to speak publicly with you Jon whilst in the midst of her grief. For me, this conversation was very special precisely because of Lisa's willingness to show herself in this time. Too many contemporary Jungians are far too glib and unrelated when they speak on depression, and seem to completely forget that, as Jung himself said, it is "‘single individuals who are suffering and seeking, and who try to take my ideas seriously in their own lives" who will genuinely carry on his work i.e. we don't come to Jung out of intellectual curiosity, but as a means of survival. And as you touched on in your conversation, the wounded healer heals because they have both the courage and the competence/love to guide someone else through their own suffering experience. Thank you both for your honesty. This kind of apprenticeship is still really needed.

    In otherwords, Jung's theory of synchronicity would be a first principle of the psyche.

  • @geoffreyah
    @geoffreyah 5 месяцев назад

    I don't think that there is any comparison to Jung's theory of synchronicity and the big bang theory of cosmology, the Lambda cold dark matter theory. It is correct to say where the laws of physics break down is where synchronicity applies. However, there can be not any synchronicities without a universe that has any time space separation. One can't unite anything into a whole if nothing is separate physically. Consequently, such a physical universe does not exist and is completely imaginary. There is no such thing as an infinitely dense and infinitely hot point in space which is how the big bang was supposed to have started. The infinite must include volume and the large as well as the very small. Such a infinitesimal point completely violates general relativity, and all known physical laws which therefore must be completely imaginary. Not anyone has challenged this idea of the start of our universe in the big bang theory. I've read Joseph Cambray's book called: "Synchronicity: Nature and Psyche in an Interconnected Universe." in it he writes that Jung's theory of synchronicity would be a forerunner of the big bang theory. It is the other way around. Jung's theory of synchronicity shows that the Lambda Cold dark matter theory is completely a myth, an unconscious projection of evil into outer space, and expansion nothing but an illusion symbolizing extroversion and the expansion of consciousness. The collective unconscious would be the universal unknown. Jung did not want to only disenchant the world, but he wrote it is still enchanted and even today since there is still unconsciousness today and higher levels of consciousness in the future. Therefore, we still can be fooled by our imagination and the unconscious projection of religious images from the subject onto the object which is not physics, but only psychological. Jung called this "participation mystique." I think it is bright of Joseph Cambray to make these connections, but in physics we must stick to the first principles of physics which are mind independent, objective and unchanging. Just because a theory is accepted by everyone does not mean that it sticks to first principles. There is so far not any physical evidence in the laboratory which uses known technology to detect dark energy and dark matter and I don't think there ever will be. I agree with the idea of emergence only so far as it includes first principles because general relativity and quantum physics did not come into existence when they were invented, but must also be discovered and part of a previously unknown system that always worked.
