A beautiful dress!
@@MrG00dguymike 💓💓💓
just bought this pattern and am making it now! i'm a beginner tho so we shall see how it turns out haha
I'm wishing you Good Luck! 💚🍀
How much fabric is needed for a size XS?
For this dress I used these materials: 7m of Pink Crepe Satin with a width of 150cm 1/2 meter of Pink Cotton for interlining 30cm of Pink Satin Bias Tape 25 cm long Pink Zipper Matching Thread You will likely need somewhere between 6.5 to 7 meters of fabric with a minimum width of 150cm. And 1/2 to 1 meter of cotton for interlining.
That dress looks great! You have a really talent.
That's a awesome dress!!!!! You have a real talent for this!
huge fan of your patterns/tutorials....can't wait to make this one!!

KUROMI AND WITH THERE F***
I’m cutting the bodice at 44 but my arms are small than the 44 sleeve band. I should be able to change the arm band and sleeve to a smaller size?
Also if my underbust is 38, should I cut the skirt for 38 or keep it at 44?
I see the lace layer for the bust is cut larger than the other bust pieces, was that for a reason?
I cut it a smidge bigger so when I put it ontop of the satin I had a little wiggle room to move it around. I wanted to make sure I had the lace as centered and symmetrical on the bodice as possible. So when cutting it out I cut it a little bigger so I had some room to scoot it one way or another to make sure it was even looking. After I basted the lace to the satin I trimmed the edges, and it was all the same size.
Hi! In which video do you showcase a tulip sleeve? I'm a advanced beginner and need to see it to understand haha.
My video, " DIY - Make your own Regency Dress - Mix and Match Pattern Pieces - Bridgerton Inspired ", at the 47:17 marker briefly shows me putting together a green satin dress with a circle skirt and tulip sleeves. There is a quick look at Tulip sleeve construction with lining. Tulip sleeves might be feel tricky, but essentially you're just going to overlap them and stitch the sleeve heads together. Hopefully the brief look in my video is enough to help you make sense of it. ruclips.net/video/7rCfF4HlsnQ/видео.htmlsi=vZn-R5bZLT8-jNgd
You make it look so easy, but you're actually so precise! I am loving your videos.
Thank you so much! 💖 I hope it looks approachable to those wishing to sew, but it's true I do try my best to keep it orderly. 😺
Wow, how fun! 🎉🎃👻💀
Well, I have just about finished the bodice part. I tried it on and it’s a bit tight in my arm area. Is there anything I can do besides starting over? It’s wearable but not 100% comfortable. And also, when I am trying to do French seams the sewing machine keeps wanting to eat my fabric. I’m using a 100% polyester satin. Do you have any advice?
@@januaryrose2989 which part of the arm area is right? If it’s the sleeve and you can just cut a longer sleeveband. If it’s the armhole you can try trimming it a bit to make it slightly bigger, or size up the bodice. It’s hard to say why the machine is eating the fabric, could be a number of things, I’ll try and list a few possible areas to check. Make sure the presser foot is down when sewing. You may need to change the needle to a new needle or needle appropriate for your fabric. It could be tension is incorrect and needs to be adjusted. You may need to rewind your bobbin thread. Possibly, your upper thread tension may be too low, and the bobbin tension is pulling the fabric down towards the bobbin. You could be stitching too close to the edge of the fabric. And finally you can try sewing with stabilizer or paper this should help.
@ oh yes it’s the arm hole but I didn’t think of trimming it, thank you! I will tinker around with a few things tomorrow and hopefully get the issue resolved.
@@januaryrose2989 Goodluck! 💚 I hope you're able to sort it out!
@ thank you! I figured it out and had a eureka moment. Thought to check the top thread… it wasn’t assembled correctly, problem solved. 😊
This is the first actual project that I’ve done. I’m trusting the process 😅
Kuromi is the best!
Wow, sooo cute!
Hi! Im making this beautiful dress and I have a little problem. I adjusted the bodice to fit me better, which made the armhole too big for my sleeve. When I try it on I can’t move my arms properly :( Can I use another size from the pattern on the sleeves to match the bigger armhole?
@@elvirad4545 Hi there, I can’t say for certain if this will work, since I can’t see the exact changes you made. But I think this is a very good idea. You can test it with a mock-up, and see how it looks and fits.
@@KittyJBerry Okay I will try! Thanks!
I'm a new sewer. This is probably a very dumb question but how do I know where the boning goes .
Patterns will usually indicate where to place boning. If drafting your pattern you can place the boning anywhere you desired extra support. I like to place my boning channels on the sides of my bust, and at the center back on either side of the eyelets. You can also place boning at the center front, and side seams.
@@KittyJBerry thank you ! Wish me luck as I try to recreate something similar to your outfit lol
I’ve been waiting for this for so long, thank you so much 🥹🫶🏻
Thank you so much for waiting! It really has been a long time, you're an angel to be so patient with me ❤️
I may have missed this information but do you recommend a stretch fabric? Does it matter if it’s stretch?😊
I recommend a non-stretch fabric like, cotton, satin, silk, linen ect. A stretch fabric will be very tricky to work with especially along the curved seams and back zipper. If you do decide to sew with a stretch fabric you will need to make sure you make all the appropriate adjustments needed.
@@KittyJBerry Okay thank you!😊 I’m also wondering what height the dress fits? I’m 177cm, is that too tall?
@@elvirad4545 I'm 172 cm tall, so you may want to lengthen the skirt by a few cm. You could cut the bottom edge a few cm longer, and you can measure the center front of the skirt and compare it to your measurement (from underbust to where you want the skirt to end) and extend it. Remember to leave room for a hem ☺
@@KittyJBerry Okay👍 thanks for your help!☺️
I have problems with the seam allowance. After sewing the gusset to the right side of the sleeve I have overlapping seam allowance and don’t know how to flat fell it
Thank you it was well explained i will try
Wow, so beautiful!!
I so appreciate you actually showing where to measure!
This is lively, I wondered if the skirt can be cut wider and gathered? How would I go about cutting that out?
I suppose if your fabric is long/wide enough you could cut the waistline deeper. Or you could just cut 2 circle skirts and gather it all down, or just gather down instead of pleats. Lots of options, it's mostly up to your creativity. I have a video that makes a ballgown style dress if that's what you had in mind.
I want to buy one

Is this pattern for every type of body???
This dress pattern is meant for someone with a bust size between 32 and 46 inches, and this pattern has more of a 'Balconette' shape. I have a new Regency Dress pattern called 'Mix and Match' and it fits bust sizes 30 to 48 inches. I am currently working on expanded sizing for plus sizes for my 'Mix and Match' pattern. You can check out videos for it on youtube. This dress is an empire style dress, so fit mostly matters at the bust and underbust. Hips and waist are free. And you can adjust the skirt length to your height as needed. I love a Regency dress on any body shape, but I adore the Regency silhouette of an empire waist gown. If you're interested in making a regency dress I recommend checking out my 'Mix and Match Regency Dress Pattern'. It has the most variation and more videos showing the sewing process. The bodice should also be the easiest to fit. I hope this helps!
Wow your collection is to die for.I love all your bags especially the classic flaps and the vintage Kelly. Thanks for sharing LYXBAG
I just realized that “Regency Era dresses were so simple!!” is a total lie
super cute!

That pattern is available in my Etsy and I have a Video for it as well :) It does take alot of elastic and can be quite challenging, but it is very cute! ruclips.net/video/LeVSvyfT8N0/видео.htmlsi=Svdq5qPvboa89TqG

This style would be prefect for bridesmaids dresses.
Are you selling those?
Daphne must be your favorite character. This is lovely
Love Daphne 💙 I think she had the best wardrobe 💎 ✨
What is that thing that you keep putting on the material that are not scissors
I’m not sure what you mean. It could be pins to secure the fabric to the cotton interlining, or chalk to draw darts. If you could be more specific that would help me.
Which is it a dress or skirt
I don’t understand your question? It’s a dress, but the pattern offers different skirt shapes.
Do you have any examples of the flutter sleeves?
At the 2:29 minute marker there is a quick example of the flutter sleeve made in a striped cotton fabric and the bottom edge finished with binding. Right now that is the only example i have on video. I hope this helps!
