There's Now a Matchbox Video Game? (And it's worse than I thought...)
Просмотров 45 тыс.Месяц назад
Matchbox has been the second biggest player in the 1:64 diecast toy car market for ages, but only now is getting it's own full-out game, which raises the question, how does it compare to the HotWheels game that it's hypothetically competing with? Pretty badly, as it turns out... 00:00 Intro 01:13 The Cars 03:08 Gameplay 04:13 Maps/Tracks 05:20 Sound and Music 07:05 Graphics 07:37 Gimmicks and D...
Is MrBeast's New Toy Line Any Good? (MrBeast Lab)
Просмотров 3,8 тыс.2 месяца назад
With the MrBeast allegations going on right now, I think it would be a great time to bring up what's going on with that fancy new toy line of his, from the collector himself! Also includes the canonical reveal of the irl Key himself, for those who are looking for the lore 20 years into the future. No Windex was drunk and no microwaves blown up in the making of this video. (though, my microwave ...
Whatever Happened to 2010's Best Selling Toy? (Shopkins)
Просмотров 2,8 тыс.2 месяца назад
If you were ever in any toy store during the 2010's, you'd definitely have had seen these little foodies lining the shelves. But now, you can't find them anywhere! Whatever happened to Shopkins, and while we're at it, how'd they get popular in the first place?
Loved the video! Can’t wait to see how this channel grows!
Happy to hear it! 👍
Me being a fan of Hot Wheels over Matchbox goes to show how much I didn’t know there's a new Matchbox game.
To be fair, nobody did. I myself even only found out about it by accident.
Can I buy that Geoffrey ninja turtle funko pop off of you
How much you offering?
20-30?
@@MrPolkym You can just buy them off of Ebay for roughly that price, you know.
True
How much would you sell it for if you were to sell it to me ?

i Miss 2021-2017 Mr Beast When His Videos alot Better And Funnier #Bringbackoldmrbeast
He used to be like a friend you'd get to see every second Saturday, now he's just another corporation that you have to deal with, like Amazon or Walmart.

@@cartoonist_key Remember Chris Is Not Gay Yet?
@@DuckyTheRoaster Ah, yes... Such classics. What did they do with that MrBeast?! At least Chandler is still himself, maybe even more-so now.

I noticed that a few of the track layouts look like certain real-life tracks with some minor warping of the outline An ice track looks like Interlagos squished Beach like the Nurburgring GP circuit bent a bit and the north part altered Lava looks like a bulbous edit of Tsukuba... I'm sure if I looked hard enough the others would show familiarities too.
Interesting! Never noticed that myself, but definitely noteworthy. 👍
matchbox WOULD use ai generated content.
Well, Mattel, probably, Matchbox themselves, no they wouldn't, they're all old school car enthusiasts with the brand at heart over there.
This gen is not rite realy want a tolet skibady i see kids going mad for it 50£ why when i was yong i can see its not werth it why i buy manga only figures
Toys R Us is dead in America. It just is.
The mustache said MUSTache or MUST ACHE
It definitely felt pain when I put the putty in it.

Oh, you mean my 1997 Ertl Dodge Charger 'Dukes of Hazard' General Lee?
2:27 OMG that’s my favorite movie As well as Harry Potter nice Gravity Falls 5:07
I love the Slytherin Geoffrey
bro offended all the funko collectors
Challenge: Not offend Funko collectors (Impossible)
Why did they make a Matchbox game and not put in any licensed cars? Every Matchbox I own is based on a real car!
They don't want to pay the licensing fee. Which, depending on the manufacturer, isn't really that much, I know GM and Ford are both pretty chill on the licensing front, and Mattel already has all the connections, it really wouldn't have been that hard from them. But all they care about is money so obviously this was gonna happen.
I didn't even know there was a new Matchbox game avaialbe to play. Then again, when you're being compared to a more popular brand like Hotwheels, can you blame them (and this is coming from a Hotwheels fan going back to my childhood).
I think you were way too hard on this game. Yes, comparing this to Hot Wheels Unleashed this game is lacking, but on it's own merits, it is a competent racing game, with great controls, and fun tracks! Great game to play with my kid!
Yeah, for what it is, it's not a terrible game, it does hold up pretty well on it's own. However, for the price they're asking, it should have been a much better game. That's my logic.
It's funny you mention Season 3 as the best-selling season, because I can confirm from personal experience, lol I was working at a store when season 3 dropped and people were RAVENOUS for them. First week we had them a lady came in and bought a whole box of them, then later that week we got word from coporate that there was now a limit of two per customer per visit. People went wayyyyy out of their way to get around this restriction: it was a small store, and from my vantage point behind the register I would watch a parent come up, buy two, then have each of their children go back and grab two more, handing off the credit card to each of them as they came up the line, lol. There was a ton of attmepted theft too, so eventually they had to be moved behind the registers where we could keep a better eye on them. This frenzy continued into season 4: we got them in around the holidays and combining Shopkins mania with holiday stress did NOT go well, lol. We also had a limit on those and plenty of people pitched a fit, including people threatening us with violence (always fun) and one woman calling me a "b*tch" to my face for not letting her scoop a dozen packs into her cart. I do miss those times a bit: I started collecting Shopkins during season 3 and fell off righttttt around the party era, though I did come back for the Little Secrets subline for a while. I do miss when Shopkins were more prevalent on the shelves, I've still got my collection lying around, including a few factory errors I hold near and dear, lol Great vid dude
there's been a couple matchbox games, Matchbox Motor City Patrol, Matchbox: Rescue Rigs, & Matchbox Missions: Air, Land, and Sea Rescue/Emergency Response
I'd call them all borderline games, as they aren't much, but yes, they do exist. I feel like they may have had done more if Tonka hadn't had such a huge section of the market at the time.

I really, really, really dislike usage of AI, for its million negatives it has like 1 positive and even then it comes at the cost of replacing actual talent. I would rather have the Outright Games studio hire their janitor for the voices or get a guy from Fiver or something to do the music
Yeah, it just always comes off as lazy, no matter when and who uses it. I mean, all these companies have heaps of cash just lying around, they can totally hire somebody to physically do the tasks.
@@cartoonist_key Poor CEOs cant get their 10 yachts a year without cutting those costs!
ps4 graphics? To me it looks like it could be late ps2 AAA or early ps3 budget game graphics.
I was being a bit generous, tbh. I wouldn't know for certain since I've always been one of those PC nerds.
0:37 >Matchbox: 1953 >Hot Wheels: 1968 The math doesn't check out.
I myself (and I would say a lot of purists) consider Lesney Matchbox and post-Lesney Matchbox to be two completely separate entities.
"The graphics look like a PS4 launch game" Honestly it reminded me of a Wii game. Hell I'd even say there are Wii games emulated in HD that exceed this graphically.

Not something I'm particularly familiar with, but would make for a great video! I'll definitely look into it, thanks! 👍
This is a good video, but I'll have to be honest a lot of the humor feels a tad bit forced. But I did overall enjoy it.
I'll have to look into improving that, thanks for letting me know! 👍
SOMEONE INVENT SHOPKINS AGAIN
Noooooooo I didnt get a chance to buy shopkins I only have five noooooooooooooooooooooooo 💔😭
Well, time to go on the thrift store hunt, lol
I'll probably end up at least getting one of the big panther figures because I do quite like it's design, but I'm trying to steer clear of small toys as I have far to many 😅
I mean, if action figures are your thing, they make for a great addition to the collection, I'd highly recommend. 👍
