Lecture on Mayerian Theology, otherwise known as Mayeriachi, to the American public at the Manassas Mall in Virginia.

Definitely not the berth of rave culture, this is AFTER the Chicago Dj's showed up and taught them how to mix, and allot more than that. Stuff that was already two years old in Chicago (multiple beat layering). And never came above what was going on in Chicago turntablism. It started in Chicago New Wave clubs not House clubs.

Manchester took the music out of clubs that are for black, gay men and made it music for everyone.
Don't get me wrong... Chicago DJ's are great. But even Julian Jumpin' Perez and Bad Boy Bill in the mid-80's didn't receive any accolades as performers or as recording artists until 1992, when they started doing radio play. The Manchester DJ's in 1988 were the very first in history to get radio play and sell out club venues. London, New York, LA, and Chicago followed suit in 92', literally taking House DJ's from the house parties/high school dances, and into mainstream radio and record deals.
