Although he hasn't read The Urantia Book Mats been excited about my research on famous readers which he's mostly heard about from a common friend. Mats believes The Urantia Book has had a deeper quiet significance than one would imagine. Mats: “When it’s like, ‘this fellow, and this fellow, and that group, and this, and this...’ It’s like, ‘What the f.@# is this?!’ Because no one knows anything...
Stockhausen and The Urantia Book: an interview with Christian Ruch

Christian Ruch is a Karlheinz Stockhausen fan and self-proclaimed "fanatic," from Switzerland. He first heard and became drawn to Stockhausen as a school student in around 1985. Stockhausen may have been the first German to read and embrace The Urantia Book after he received a copy in 1972. Christian learned about The Urantia Book when reading a biography about Sockhausen in the early 1990s. He...

Jerry Garcia & The Urantia Book - Deadhead Phil Taylor's reflections & journey

I have been researching Jerry Garcia and The Urantia Book, so I was intrigued when Phil told me how both "the GD" and "the UB" have been huge parts of his life. I asked him to share a little of his story, and we did a spontaneous burning-the-midnight-oil interview in April 2024. It was late, and my voice was hoarse (bit of a cold), but hearing about Phil's experiences was most interesting.

The Urantia book is a great story, however its obviously a made up one. Theres no effective results from its ideas. Nobody has created a better life or been transformed by its story. In fact, I would argue the opposite is more common after reading it. It suggests Satan and Lucifer are beings, that theres a comic book style universe of heroes and villains, deities roaming around and all sorts of fantasy nonsense. It throws together diff new age ideas into 1 book. As a fiction its great. The problem is that the content is presented as legit and real. Theres enought bullshit in the world already without this confusing story.

I bought my first Urantia Book in the United States in 1978/79. Very good video, thank you for posting. I was a very young full time musician at the time but had started Yoga, Meditation, Healthy Living and been introduced to several traveling healers (mostly gifted women) several years earlier so the Urantia Book was a natural part of being on this path of living. I still play music professionally but left playing full time later in 1979 in order to work/serve full-time in these other areas.

It never ceases to amaze me how little the revelation is read. The religionists think it is too scientific and the scientists think it is too spiritual. After I'd read it twice I wanted to tell everyone the secrets of the universe had been revealed in great detail. But after all these many years of rampant denial, when I see all the great science teachers on YT guessing at theories, when reality is available I just feel sympathy for such educated self imposed ignorance. I guess there has to be global collapse first?

Good to see Sharon and hear her reminisce about the bookstore and the various readers she and Ted entertained. Ted and Sharon, and Tim and Kitty Traylor, were very helpful to Catherine and I after we returned from Europe in 1990. They welcomed us to the study group and into their homes. That was a very difficult time for me as I was suffering from long undiagnosed and untreated celiac disease. The happy memories I have of our time in Austin all involve the community of Urantia Book readers.

Interesting. A "grand unified" explanation of who, what, when, why and how has long been a goal of authentic thinkers. It seems the same dead end awaits all of them. At some point, the human mind is incapable of grasping "the Truth." Still, perhaps we move the ball a bit toward the goal line each time and that seems to be a worthy effort.

Recomendo a leitura.

Star Trek is from 1960, 20 years before this supposed '1980 UB gift'.... which demonstrates that Star Trek and Gene Roddenberry have nothing to do with the urantia book, totally fake.

You're jumping to conclusions. It isn't me telling the story so can't promise you he isn't making it up, but the 80s doesn't mean the story is fake. Gene Rodenberry said he did a lot of seeking and exploring för ideas and inspiration for Star Trek The Next Generation which was made in the 80s. I've also heard from several others about seeing the book at his house and him attending a Urantia meeting.

Interesting. I've been a reader for almost 50 years and have explored the internet looking for related books and connections as you have. You glossed over Hubert Wilkins and Harold Sherman. Both were members of the Forum in the 1940s and, of course, both knew Dr. Sadler. My article regarding Wilkins was published in the Spirit Fellowship Journal 20 years ago and recently cited in a book about Wilkins published by the Explorers Club. You missed the very famous Karlheintz Stockhausen. Look him up. He wrote an opera based on the Lucifer Rebellion. Licht. You also missed Norman Lear (the producer of All in the Family, the Jefferson's, and many more) - far more famous than most that you mentioned. There is also Gene Roddenberry. In conclusion, did you know that Hillary Clinton was at Mo Seigals house for a meeting? It was reported as a hit piece by Briebart media before the 2016 election - to cast her as associated with an alien cult group. Its online.
