Drove for 21 years in Milwaukee and we had 150 backbone of the fleet. Didn't like them on heavy routes as doors didn't close quickly and slow to make transition. A lot of squeaky plastic and fiberglass and I recall they got less than 5mpg
It makes no sense at all to do this to a perfectly good conditioned transit bus,it could certainly be put to good use somewhere,it looked perfect before it was touched.
You know since the Scooby-Doo Gang's 50-year-old Mystery Machine van had been driven for years since 1969, it seems it's time for that crummy old vehicle to get DESTROYED!!!!!! (In Vyond)
In the time it took to just remove the roof of the bus it could have probably scrapped 3 cars. Kinda highlights how much safer it is to ride a bus vs a car.
Gives me an idea for a Reality TV show: Pack a bus (outfitted with live video cameras) full of senior citizens who think they've won a free trip to the local casino. Then have the bus take a detour through the Junkyard of Hell!! 😨😱😈
@@GILLIGFAN dude that was 2nd generation 1999-2000 Neoplan USA AN440LF Transliners that were purchased by Port Authority of Allegheny County and according to Wikipedia, they were the first low floor buses in the fleet and retired In 2013. Neoplan USA Corporation had a recall of the 1999-2000 AN440LF Transliners that had frame cracks in it
