Great review. Nice video, good sound quality, with some better image stabilization it'd be really good. Solid unbiased review.
Great review, thanks for the pillion perspective as well.
@@daviddingnzl Thank you, glad you found this useful!
So mileage need not be great in a motorcycle meant for touring? Smart.
@@varunchopra1455 haha I understand the irony in that. Happy to report I’m getting 28-30kmpl as the mileage and a range of 320-350km between fuel stops
Hey thanks for the review and all the good information. Question regarding riding with a pillion and luggage specially on big steep hills, does it deliver good enough power? Do you get a healthy enough power delivery? Thanks in advance and gettings from Costa Rica 👋
@@paolorod Greetings! Just completed 6000km on the motorcycle. Took it on various terrains with luggage and pillion. Absolutely no problem in terms of power delivery. Tackling hills is a breeze.

Can you tell a bit more about heat? You feel it is much hotter than the previous version on the legs?
@@alicenien5015 yes it gets quite hot especially in traffic or on days when the weather is on the warmer side. Definitely heats more than the 411 but to its credit, the motorcycle also cools down rapidly.
Great video, good review, keep up the good work.
Much appreciated!
RE showroom services are trash as hell. They don’t care to guide at all. Such arrogance.
Nice Adventure!
Yes it was!
Loved it Akanksha! <3

While riding seating is not much comfortable, it skipping from back to front cause lot of heat on seat
@@gangadhar_mc4477 maybe you can try changing the angle of the front seat. Under the seat, you will find the points for height adjustment. Set the front height adjuster at 845mm and the rear adjuster to 825mm. This will tilt the seat slightly towards the back which might help from slipping forwards.
@@onceuponamotorcycle I tried bro but after changing seat is not fitting,,,, I bought touring seat paying 4k
@@gangadhar_mc4477 how is the experience with touring seat. Is it comfortable?
@@onceuponamotorcycle I did one mistake , I took touring seat while taking delivery of my vehicle, I drove 1200km so far with this but I don't think so it make much difference compare to normal seat cushions r ok but I feel Skippy feeling I use to come forward it caused heating feeling on seat
Phenomenal place. Phenomenally unexpected tunnel scene.
@@aadhikyabhardwaj8330 thanks bro, glad you enjoyed the video
My memories took a rewind looking at this video. I remember u both reaching the homestay at around 8 or 9pm drenched and shivering barley able to talk but both of u smiling and not a word of complain. Real adventurer's spirit. Great job. Keep travelling
@@meerapandey7209 thank you ma'am. This is what happened before we reached you in Tawang. We were not able to complain because we were so cold haha 😆
What was the temperature like? 7° ?
@@AneeshRathi we have agreed to come to the conclusion that it was 7° 🙃

Ur video made me click the subscribe Button🎉❤, i was confused btvn ns400 and himlyn, u guys cleared it. As i work in defence, i need a motorcycle which can carry loads, bags and family member, so i think this will be a good one. Can i commute on it? Is it reliable? Bcoz its a one time investment
@@deepaksmarihal Hi Deepak, between the ns400 and the Himalayan, I would chose the Himi as well. I also own a Apache so I can tell you that while the ns will give you a sense of instant power, the Himi will take you and your pillion + luggage to more places without tiring you out. I am commuting on the motorcycle daily and it's an absolute hoot to ride in the city. We wish you the best for your purchase and thank you for your service to the Nation. Jai Hind!
Please specify dates of travel with the details of weather, road conditions during this time
@@NitinKulkarni2207 hello Nitin, we traveled during the last week on March, which was relatively off-season. The road conditions are really good. The road infra is well managed. At higher altitudes you will find snow. In terms of weather, it was most volatile at higher altitude with a mix of rain and snow. Many people also travel between August - Sept. However, post October - Feb it is extreme weather.
bro a suggestion for you. the lighting is flicking a lot. do a focus lock. it would help a lot.
@@vishesh000 Hi Vishesh, thanks a lot for the suggestion. We have improved the stabilization and color in the latest uploads. Always trying to improve ✌️

You can’t talk about your purchase experience as a general negative issue. Complain directly to RE but don’t put it out there as if it were a Royal Enfield problem. It’s not kosher to generalize these things. Aside from that, good review.
@@Oldman.Roaming Hello 👋 thanks for your feedback and I'm glad to know you liked the video. Regarding the experience with RE, I did lodge an official complaint as well but didn't get any resolution beyond an acknowledgement on email. Also, the issue was more of a dealership niggle than a brand issue, but RE is in the position of changing the overall experience, if it wants to. Most reviews on RUclips don't talk about the purchase experience, and we mostly get to see this on riding forums. I wanted to change that.
Almost all RE showrooms are like this only. Today I went to buy/book 450 but came empty handed because of showroom people were forcing me to buy 20k+Rs accesories alongside the bike!
@@rounak1619 that's really unfortunate. Hope you find a showroom which is better and book the motorcycle.
@@onceuponamotorcycle yes tomorrow I'll try other showrooms hope I'll find good one
@@rounak1619 no one forces people to buy anything mate. You purchase what you want and can pay for. It’s their job to sell you everything they can but it’s up to you if you pay for it or not… So you did not buy/book the 450 just because they were trying to sell you accessories for the bike “you wanted?” Don’t quite understand…
great review and ride safe always!
