When are you planning on streaming again? Are you playing this next?
Haven't streamed since my laptop busted 😭 Still trying to get the replacement machine setup to stream the way I want.
Definitely seems like the kind of game I would love. .... Cause cards
I accidentally opened the one without commentary and I was like WHAT THE HELL!??? Where is my voice over.
🤣🤣🤣 It's a different experience without me droning on
Which tile do you like the most? 😊
I don’t get the last one?
😅 The fact that I have to explain my silly meme, means it isn't a good one. Apologies 🙇♂️ It's was trying to make light of the fact that in Citadels your are trying your best to figure out what characters each player has chosen...
@@BirdsOnBoard112 no, it’s just I never played it. But I thought it was a bit like sushi go party where you choose what characters are in the game (ig), but that makes more sense.
It was shocking news. I had to take some time to process. I have known Julia since I was a young boy with her massive influence in the Pokémon TCG scene. Her calibre of event hosting is unparalleled, and Pokémon has truly lost a gem. But in her words "not goodbye, just see you later" DG will be missed.
She's a legend ♥️ and I'm sure many folks have similar feelings 😓
Yea this is a sad day for us all! I wish Julia and her family all the best on there future endeavors!
I have no doubt that Julz and the crew will still be around ♥️🤞 But now joining in the fun with the players they used to support so heavily ☺️
That’s so wild. Very cool
I know, right?! It sounds too real 😱
Could you tell that the hosts were AI? What tipped you off? 🤖
At the tail end with the suggested questions, it had me thinking of using the AI tool to create "difficulty ratings" to all the games you ingest. Like "my friend is new to boardgames, which of the games in your library would be easiest for them to play" Very cool!
This is amazing! I think it can be a game changer with people getting into games as well as with experienced players disputing over the rules. Awesome video, I think I will be messing around with this for Pokemon to see what it can do.
That'd be so awesome! I wonder if you could upload a list of cards and rules, and ask to generate a specific type of deck to suit your play style? 😍
Pretty incredible! I'm going to load it up with Spirit Island resources, and see what mayhem it can create. I'm having trouble getting it to recognize the Spirit Island Wiki. Does it automatically drill down into all sub-pages of a website's main page, or do we need to feed it all possible URLs?
Thats such a cool idea!! 🤩 I'm not sure if it dives into sub-pages 🤔 thats a good question. Checking this thread, it seems that is only using the linked page as a source, and doesn't crawl deeper: www.reddit.com/r/Bard/comments/1dbfmxz/if_you_add_a_web_page_as_a_source_does_notebook/
Great game! i didn't know there where a "Solo variant" for the Pandemic Base Game! I just bought the game and i really wanted to try it in solo!
I didn't either 😅 I used to play solo double-handed, playing the role of multiple characters. But then I found out Z-Man games have created an official solo variant, and I find it MUCH better 🥰 Here's the sheet of you keen. Enjoy the new game 🍻 images.zmangames.com/filer_public/52/af/52af7da5-f336-4465-9369-1ca74f0bc250/pandemic_solo_rules.pdf
😆🤣 for real tho, absolutely NO food or drinks at the table while board gaming!😠
100% agree! It's LAW 😁
Heh, look up pest be very afraid.
It’s a shame that you felt you had to apologize for being silly. Don’t let the 1% thought police take away your free speech, especially when you were not being offensive…just a silly comment.
💪 Reading comments of support like this, help me lean into my silliness 😉
PS: That drive buy was GOLDEN!
🤣🚂🚂🚂🚂
Keep adding the voice overs! I feel it gives a WAAAAY more personal touch! Keep up the great work!
Thank you sir 🍻 The feedback is appreciated!
What is your favourite game to play with Dominoes? 🁄
Great video. I like the graphics and transitions. Newly subscribed and hope you grow exponentially. Great content!
I wasn't planning on blushing today, but I'll add it to the agenda 🥰 Thanks for the comment, it's appreciated greatly ♥️🍻
Forrest shuffle for the win 😄
I see they are bringing out a 2nd expansion 🤩 boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/424129/forest-shuffle-woodland-edge
Do you own any of these board games?
Love watching your growth, Pigeon!
🥰🥰 Thanks! It's appreciated. I enjoy the board game hobby, & if I can share that with even a few other folks, all the better 😁
Fun video! I can see your confusion over the Darwin games; they even came out around the same time. If you ever want to actually try Darwin's Journey and aren't against TTS I'd be happy to teach you. It is a very brain crunchy game that you really need to play a few rounds to pick up. I've been really enjoying Wyrmspan solo still, and currently building a folded space insert for it now. I haven't played any new to me games yet, but my copy of Tang Garden just arrived, and I'm meeting friends this weekend so I'm sure we'll get something new to the table.
Dice forge seems like a great game... I will be keeping my eye out for that one! Suburbia also seems like a great game to pick up for my collection! Great video Pigeon!
It's appreciated, sir 🙇♂️ I'm also keeping my eyes open for Suburbia... I see they also have an EXPANSIONS set with some more components. GIMME GIMME GIMME! 😅
Have you played a new board game recently? Would you play it again? 😊
I played Newton for the second time in about two years. The first time, I didn't really think much of it. This time, I realized how good it is. There are a lot of options to score points, and very little randomness. Unlike Chess, the board changes with each setup. It's really good.
The Stifling Dark 😂 Great game once someone understands what's going on
I've had a few games like this 😂 It's like trying to read an ancient scroll at first-lots of squinting and head scratching. But once the lightbulb finally goes off 💡, it’s game on! Glad you powered through to see the greatness in the shadows 🍻😎!
It only ruins it for me in the beginning. Once I get it and make all the necessary notes in the margins, it's smooth sailing after that.
I think I feel the same way 🤔 Although I do feel I get a lot of use out of board games that include an appendix with more details about all the cards/symbols.
How much impact, does a badly written board game rulebook, have on the game?
Have you played any board games that made you laugh?
@@BirdsOnBoard112 Mysterium and Dixit. I have a cousin who loves, like LOVES Mysterium, and another who loves Dixit. I can’t possibly choose between them. I love Mysterium, bcuz as the ghost it’s infuriating when you give a perfect clue and they don’t understand, and as a psychic it’s infuriating when they give you the shittiest clue ever. I also love Dixit, bcuz I can enjoy the memories I have with it, and also learn how everyone thinks. Was Fatima the storyteller? Focus on the details. Oh, but was Ruqayah the storyteller? Then pick the most obvious thing.
@@alixx_legenddark_xx2819 I've been sooooo keen to try Mysterium 🥰 Sounds like such a fun concept! 😁
@@BirdsOnBoard112 it is, but I feel it’s a bit easy. For your first game, you should try it on medium, and then try it on hard.
🎲 What’s the most memorable board game event you’ve been to? Was it the games, the people, or something else that made it special? 🤔
😆🤣😂😅 It's funny because it's true.
What is the most you've spent on a Board Game? 💵
I decline to answer that. 😂 But it certainly adds up.
🤣🤣🤣 Declining to answer is always a viable strategy 😜
OMG 😂 this is perfect! Monopoly IS indeed a load of crap!!! The last time we played it was over 20 years ago. If we still had a copy I'd use it for kindling.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 To be fair, I don't think I've actually ever completed a game legitimately 😅
Do you still enjoy a game of Monopoly now & then?
Absolutely not. Have been terrorised by it all my life 😂
🤣🤣🤣 My condolences
30:24 Tip: I have the verifier cards sleeved so I can write with whiteboard markers directly "over" the verifier card - it is quicker and takes less space
🤩🤩🤩 I'm 100% doing this!! Thank you 💖🎉
I don't want to spoil too much about the game strategy , but here is small bit of "preprocessing" . 20:33 D:"One of the numbers must be smallest". And because there is verifier C in the game and there is condition that all verifiers are needed we know which one is the smallest. . . . . . . . If players would use verifier D to check that triangle or circle is smallest , verifier C would be unnesesary, so we know that square is the smallest WITHOUT checking even one code. And second preprocessing (also usable in the game) trick is based on the rule, that answers to the questions should give unique solution. So if 2 (or more) codes would give the same answers on all verifiers you can eliminate them all.
And of course with all verifiers are nessesary condition you can exclude "three 3" case - that would obsolete all other verifiers (in most circumstances in normal difficulty levels)
SMART! I definitely need to play the game more to pick up these tricks 🤞
nice stream. Keeping square cards face up is a bit of spoiler. you can instinctively see if there is majority of red or green squares and for some criterium it is enough to know. for example for criterium "is square ODD" there is majority of red so square is EVEN.
Oh wow! I didn't even consider that! 😱 Thanks so much for the heads up, will keep them flipped going forward 🍻
Do you ever have to stop yourself spending money on board games?
OMG 😆😂 Too accurate 😅
You should do one of these for each month, Pidgeon. My most played games in July: 10. Wyrmspan (2) 9. Exploding Kittens Good vs Evil (3) 8. King of Tokyo (3) 7. Stifling Dark (4) 6. Nucleum (4) 5. Ark Nova (7) 4. Project L (9) 3. Star Wars Deckbuilding Game (12) 2. The Crew Quest for Planet Nine (12) 1. Trio (I could not keep track but it was infinitely more that every other game and I highly highly recommend)
Hiya @tinstreet_egg 👋 I was hoping to, but I'm thinking of rather doing a "New games I've played" every 2 months 🤔 Still mulling it over. Don't wanna bore folks with the SAME games every month 😅 That's a great list! 🥰 I'm gonna pop Trio on my List of Games to play... Haven't played it yet, but I've been hearing good things.
Awesome video. I have been wanting to go to one of these for a while but the events have always clashed with prior plans. D&D is also something I have been daunted to dip my toes into. Definitely wanting to jump to the next event
That's unlucky, but I'm sure there'll be one hosted again soon 😊🤞 The D&D intro they ran was a perfect 1st step. They made sure to explain the basics, but also answer any questions you had... So if you wanted to put your Character to the test, you had enough knowledge to lean into their specific skills 🧙♂️🤺
I've attended two of the Festival of Games - Edenvale and Pretoria. Had a great time at both.
I wouldn't expect anything else, Stefan! 🥰 I've also seen your interviews promoting board games and the Festival of Games. You are doing the country a great service, sir 🍻
