Добавлен 6 окт 2006
I'm Col Adamson; and my You Tube channel is mainly about organ music which I've played; often on my home 6 manual organ. I've worked in engineering (robotics, automation/ metal manufacturing) most of my working life, and my home instrument is largely a mechanical beast which was originally a 2 manual Estey Model E grand organ which I've added to / modified over the years. I am an Evangelical Anglican Minister and also work in a Bible college www.vbc.edu.au/ - I've also worked in music fields at St John's Cathedral in Sydney's west, and at St Thomas' North Sydney. I love the colour and expressiveness; breadth and depth of the organ. I've also given many recitals in and around Sydney over the years in both classical and theatre pipe organs as well as piano. Thanks for dropping by.

Is there a list of who’s played this instrument going back to the 1903 St Louis Worlds Fair?
Hi @fred. Wow, that's a huge question. There have been many famous organists who have sat at the console from the 1904 worlds fair at St Louis. Including the French virtuoso Alexandra Gilmore including the French virtuoso Alexandra Gilmore and Edwin Lemare. From the time that it was installed in the Wanamaker Store, some of the following names can be noted; Dr Irvin Morgan, Dr J Lewis Browne, Marcel Dupre, Mary Vogt, Charles Courboin (Who also had an influence over the expansion of the grand court organ), Marco Enrico Bossi, Nadia Boulanger, Alfred Hollins, Louis Vierne, Fernando Germani, G.D. Cunningham, Virgil Fox, Carlo Curley, Keith Chapman, Peter Richard Conti, Rudy Lucenti, Michael stairs, and others…And I’m sure I’ve missed quite a few. I commend the book “Music in the Marketplace” published by the friends are the Wanamaker organs press, which will give you a lot more very interesting detail about Instruments and players. www.store.wanamakerorgan.com/books/music-in-the-marketplace-a-wanamaker-organ-history
Encore toutes mes excuses.
@ColAdamson Bonjour monsieur. Ce n'est pas grave . Je vais essayer de me débrouiller. Merci beaucoup et bonne continuation.

Merci. C’est vraiment magnifique. Vous devriez proposer la partition ! Bravo !!!
So u basically have access to three different digital sample sets. I guess multiple licenses as required. It appears u have a piston system…but no key slips. GOOD SHOW! I confess failure to appreciate multiple organs. But I’ve considered it. Your ambitions are contagious! Thank you.

Are we hearing a direct line level recording because if you are recording speakers arrangements, this is terrific. If not the playing is wonderful also.
Thanks for your very kind comments. All 4 computers, the Ahlborn Galanti Organ module, the 2 Yamaha keyboards all go into a large sound desk and one output is recorded. This is the main sound we hear. I do mix in a very slight 'ambient' sound - hence you can hear the mechanical coupler noise at times as well as page turns.
Sounds great. Wonderful playing. Really enjoy yourwork Col.
Much thanks for your kindness
An 89 year old Theatre Organist loves what you've done here. I'm finalizing my hobby of building organs and playing such, with the purchase of an Allen TH 3 + deluxe. Midi allows me to be playing 44 ranks using my technician son, the Miditzer, Hauptwerk, two Allen expanders, and a second PC running Graham's 17 rank Robert Morton. Your playing ability is remarkable. With the beginning part, I sensed some 32 ft work in there but the final Can Can assured that you in fact have that great ability, Thank you from an old RUclipsr originally known as "Edonmusic"
Thank you for your kindness. I'm running multiple computers plus 2 Yamaha keyboards and an Ahlborn Galanti midi module. Depending on the organs loaded I can have up to 7 32' pedal stops, or 6 with a 64' . It's a real joy to play. Of course i can load up 6 manuals of theatre organ instead of the classical pipe organs. Cheers. From Australia

Thank you, Col. I sat at the feet of Virgil Fox when I was a young man and I must tell you that he would have loved what you did here today. Send us more.
@@robertwilson75 thank you so so much Robert. You don't realise how much this means to me. I am in tears of thankfulness to God. Virgil was indeed a huge influence on me as a young man growing up on the other side of the world. I purchased as many of his records as I could and my dad also had some. I've built my organ in the orchestral / symphonic style (as close as the Wanamaker organ as I can get), which I know Virgil loved. Thank you again so much. I'm very touched by your kindness.
I have owned, since a boy, a phonograph record of Virgil Fox playing pieces like this, I could be listening to it now. The registration, the superb phrasing and technique are on a par with my old record. This was magic and I thank you for your work in producing this video.
@@JamesEncliffe thank you so much James. Ironically, although I've listened to hours of Virgil Fox playing, I can't recall hearing him play this piece. His technique must've rubbed off on me. Cheers. Col.

BRAVO and BEAUTIFUL, Col!! You've done remarkable work with your Virtual Organ ....Keep up your beautiful presentations....
Thanks Taylor - There's a lot of voicing / blending, considering I'm harnessing so many different instruments together. You do a great job at this. Love your work.
Hi! I was wondering Col, could I use this in one of my games? I’m going to make a five nights at Freddy’s fan game called “Imagination Land”.
Hi. Yes, you may certainly use it. Thanks for asking.
Thanks!
very cool
How much of the console is the original Estey? It looks like there are 4 manuals and the top one is the Yamaha. I didn't know Estey made 4-manual organs. Are any of the original reeds able to be sounded in playing this instrument? In any case, it is quite an instrument with some really beautiful sounds.
Hi Gary. Much thanks for your comments. The Original instrument was a 2 manual Estey Model E with full pedal board. It has undergone so many rebuilds and additions, it is difficult to describe. For many years I had built another Estey Reed organ into it (tuning each stop of the new to the old) - so I was playing 3 manuals of Estey and 2 Yamaha Keyboards - some of which is is this video - At the time I also had a 32' reed pedal stop - using weights on the end of the reeds so they beat an octave lower. There is more detail at ruclips.net/video/gvBW8ODn09s/видео.html - There is a bit of a slide show of the instrument at 6:42 on ruclips.net/video/Jsjys2iWT_E/видео.html if you are interested. Cheers.
