Great review. I've seen about 10 ish other reviews and they were all on the same page. I decided to order one. Thanks.
Doesthis welder have the ability to use inert gas while mig welding or is it flux core only?
Why do the machines say good for a max of 1/8 material? I welded 5/16 to TWO inch with the harbor freight 140 and other welds on thick mild regularly.
Is Weldpro still in business?
i try to look in online store but 250f is 3-in-1 not 6-in-1 or 5-in-1.
I like it on the bench but not out in the field , it has a long lead for the gun but if it gets the slightest loop or partial loop even laying on the ground the wire birdnests inside, also you have to keep an eye where the gun goes into the machine, it gets loose easy making a gap so again wire feed problems, I keep it on the bench only now & use my harbor freight Titanium 125 for in the field.
just this last month my shop burned pretty much complete loss including my tooliom 250 a fortunately it was insured so I'm thinking I might step up my welding. What do you think of the yeswelder 250 pro
Supporting communist China I see. Why do you think this is so cheap? Slave labor, Chinese subsidies, and currency manipulation. Your low price point destroys manufacturing jobs in a true market based economy like the USA has.
Does this unit work gasless as well?
it does. Using flux core wire spools, works great gasless.
reason I'm asking is might upgrade my shop burned total loss including the tooliom welder I bought recently and my new c25 tank everything was all insured so hoping for rhe best
I know it's not your usual review but I would like to see a review on a harbor freight vulcan omnipro 220
Show us the back of this welder. It involves moving the camera or phone. How does the hose fit? Is it 8mm I.D. Or 7/16"? Now June 15th 2024 as I start shopping as a retired ASE Master of 40+ years, I have to be tight with my Uncle Joe Dollars. In sheet metal, a welded TIG is softer for hammer & dolly work. MIG, such as my 150 Amp from 1984, creates a hard weld that cracks if welding door gaps w/hammering. We start with a 50's Lincoln crank-top stick welder, then acquire a torch. Now a good simple TIG that is capable of doing aluminum. Thanks for the review. I wish they sent me one. It comes from their advertising budget! Not a disabled ASE Master Tech who had 14 lumbar procedures and Dr's are done offering no help for a 6'3" tall guy who who worked until 9PM a dealerships for other people's vehicles!
What CFM rating is the cutter? I have one coming but still have to purchase a compressor
No spool gun goes with this machine, you have to buy it separately. I was expecting a review for the welder with the liner that came in the box
I did a review with their other machine and included a review of their spool gun.
I have the Arccaptain Tig 200 (DC). Tiny too. Listen. the bang for the buck is tremendous. the newer foot pedal is out now; not that massive boat anchor in the video. my only gripe. the torch is heavy. other than that I prefer the Arccaptain over my Everlast 211. The AC/DC version above in this video would be a good purchase if you are into Aluminum TIG.
I've been looking at the 200 DC only unit for general light fab. if you don't mind telling me, how is it holding up, have you owned it for a while and no problems? I'm out in the jungle near Honduras so warranty claims are near impossible... Thanks
@@chele-chele holding up well. if you are a foot pedal person then the new foot pedal just came out although that is a separate purchase and not included. will work fine off 120V. again my only gripe is the torch is heavy. i guess the way to alleveiate that is to wrap the cord on my shoulders. this is a very simple machine to use. no bells or whistles but it certainly does weld very well
VIC Please make a video slowly showing the AC TiG portion of the settings selection as I have one and find the settings "clunky" and need more clarity?
Hi. I am unable as WeldPro had me ship the machine back due to the TIG arc problem.
Just welded 1/4 aluminum plate its works excellent!!
Old MIG welder here... Do you use nozzle gel with a gasless MIG?
Can you please leave a link for the consumables or tell me the part numbers because I don't want to use mine and not have any extras
Okay, I will search for that info.
Can you tell us how many volts you used for that cut ..120 or 240. 1 comment said it cuts better on 240 volts
Flip the spacer over on the spool
I enjoy your reviews ended buying tl250m tooliom so far very happy with it just need practice
Thank you. Great to hear. I personally think the TL250M paired with the ArcCaptain TIG200 is an excellent combo for the price.
I have never done any tig but I may give it a try some day for now just trying to get better at mig
What a crap review
Um uum um um um uum ummm um um
Great video, i have same welder . I want to create a quick disconnect to gas inlet valve . To get rid off barb claps . I not having any luck with MM barb fitting . Any suggestions to do a set up ? Greatly appreciate it 🤙🏽
You could get a QD gas fitting set. Connect a short section of hose permanently to the machine.
They have a tooliom mig 200 pro now. Im thinking of buying it. All digital display with in/min and .23/.30/ and .35 syn control or manual set. Also is spool gun capable.
If you're still running this you can 3d print a spacer for the 10lb roll. Not excusing the poor fit just trying to help.
Hi great video , any tips and recommendations on a complete tig set up for this machine
I did not look into the TIG feature. You would need a compatible gas connector. A WP17 or WP20 would work fine.
Great review. Question though. Haven’t been able to find out anyone who could answer this in regards to this particular machine: Is there a way to fully, manually adjust MIG parameters? I’d like to ONLY turn down my wire speed, but every time I lower the wire speed, it also lowers my Voltage. You briefly touched upon the topic, but I’m curious if you found away to fully, manually set parameters. Seems to me that I can only go 5 in either direction and I’d like to lower it more, since it seems I’m getting too much wire for my liking, no matter what voltage I’m using or what plate thickness auto-setting it is set for. But maybe I’ll try using the C100 setting tomorrow rather than C25, perhaps that will make a difference, although I am running 75/25 gas, haven’t tried that yet. Not sure if that will give me larger parameters to work with or not. Great review though! Thank you
Thank you. I believe this machine only has the +/- 5 adjustability.
Is it a good welding machine for hobby? I would like to learn TIG welding and welding aluminium.
There are better units out there. The problem with this unit is the lack of available foot pedal.
What size breaker is required at your electric pannel?
I have a 30, but I don't believe the machine pulls anywhere near 30.
can you test mig weld with 22g or 24g for body work please.
I sure can. I'm recovering from a shoulder injury but as soon as I am healed I can set that up.
@@EverydayVics no worries.. thanks for replying ! speedy recovery!
Easier to watch at 1.5 playback speed lol
I went w 1.25.. thanks
You didn’t do much in actually showing how to change settings?
Does the foot pedal actually control amps like a real machine, or does it just turn HF off and on.
the new foot pedal definitely controls amperage. a huge improvement over the Queen Mary anchor you see here.
I have a multimatic 220 (not a beginners welder) and the fan runs all the time when you're welding too. A little annoying but not a big deal. I think that the omni 210 looks like solid machine with a lot of features especially if you consider it's about a third the price of a Miller.
i agree. the power just wasn't smooth or apparent. I think a Lincoln 180 is more powerful.
I agree! The Lincoln 180 is actually very stable.
I venture to say it’s not 250a. Also max weld thickness is 1/4” for 250a machine 😅
i agree. the power just wasn't smooth or apparent. I think a Lincoln 180 is more powerful.
Can you review the Riland 200sp? I love watching your indepth reviews and there's only one person who showed it. Comes with a nice tweco North mig gun and such.
So glad you made this video. My Tractor seat broke so I bought this unit for the repair, and it was delivered today. I have not welded in 30 years, so I had no idea how to load the wire (as you know the instructions that came with this is really bad) Thanks again
Would you recommend this as a first tig welder? Something i can mess with and learn? Or should i just bite the bullet and get the Miller Multimatic?
It depends on your budget. A Multimatic 220 would be a good choice for a solid all-in-one. If u are looking in the sub-$1000 range TIG only, you may want to check out an ArcCaptain.
@@EverydayVicswhich arccaptain model do you recommend for tig ?
Hola amigo es muy buen video Tengo una consulta Has probado alambre tubular para acero inoxidable?
Do you know what the max watts it puts out?
not sure I think he covers that in his review.
Hello. The welding output is usually measured in amps. Are you talking about consumption/input power?
Nice review. We bought one of these for a small fab shop and it's getting just as much use as the Miller. Everybody seems to enjoy using it.
This review has helped me narrow down my selection and I appreciate the in depth review. Looks like great value and I'm gonna get me one of these!
Happy it was helpful I hope u enjoy your new purchase. As you can see, it works quite nicely.
just got one don't have the gas for it yet still need a few things to fire it up
The way you're melting down over that spool holder kind of makes me think you've never welded before. The slop is good. If it was a tight fit the spool would bind. The drive rolls are what is important....and then you get hung up on the handle...like dude you seem like a young guy and you're already turning into a grandpa...wonder what you'll be like when you're actually old
LOL yes i guess i am an old man already. I have welded in aerospace both military and civilian sectors for over 20yrs. people tell me i look young but i have children who finished college and/or serving in the military. Anyhow, I've used the best machines available so reviewing a cheap toy machine is an adjustment.
Most professional level MIG welders (Cobramatic, Millermatic, Multimatics) use a spindle+hub setup. The wire spool doesn't slop around on anything because its part of the hub. The hub spins on spindle👍
How does it work with sheet metal I do a lot of auto body typically 18 gage steel?
Based on how smooth and stable the MIG was, I'm confident it would do very well on thin gauge metal.
Thanks was just looking at their TL-31800H on Amazon...looks like the same unit
