How DJ Mustard Made Kendrick Lamar "TV OFF"

In this video I'll show how I remade Kendrick Lamar song TV OFF produced by DJ Mustard using FL Studio. This is the second half of the song. I enjoyed the meme of Kendrick Lamar screaming mustard and got a reaction to recreate the beat. This song is from his latest album GNX. (Google Drive) Samples: t.ly/0-Ta3

Thanks for the free plugins my G
yall buy daws 😭
Laughs in reaper and plugins4free 😂
Who tf buys stuffs when u can get it for free, iykyk *wink wink*
Damn I have like 100 unfinished projects
jus google DRUM KIT REDDIT and cook
Finish every X is a trope, you don't need to force to commit yourself, what you need is to be free. Both forcing to commit or not committing and feeling anxious/guilty about it - are equally hurtfull.
I already do all these
More music, less plugins More plugins, less music
Is it weird I love this 😆
if you aren't rich, don't buy anything, just pirate the basics like antares, waves and fabfilter and ur good to go
daws can be expensive. but reaper is not expensive at all, and its a great daw that many mucisians today use. its only 60$ with a free trial, and the daw still works even after the free trial. you just have to pay 60$, and its yours for life.
0:25 ...and reverb. And that's it.
All solid advice ngl
It does...kind of like a cross between JP Sonic CD and Sonic Adventure.
I keep coming back to this beat lol, is there a full or longer version anywhere?
I’m gonna make a SoundCloud and upload it there!
@@serenitymakesmusic lfg!
THANK YOU SO MUCH I NEEDED THIS!!
FINALLY TY
If you're gonna do free plug-ins, just use a completely free DAW. Such as Cakewalk (NOTE: this may result in shifting the potential investment from purchasing a DAW to purchasing a new computer! This is not strictly required, but possibly recommended depending on your laptop model Also it depends on the complexity/requirements of your prospective paid DAWs)
I love music production but I hate music production. Been like this since 2008. Never finished anything :D
1. Dont use stock plugins only but pirate everything
Some good advice here. Don't build a giant rig with a million options, keep your environment limited and instead focus on getting the most out of a minimal tool set. I've spent countless hours browsing virtual instruments and patches, which was fun, but a lot less making and arranging parts takes place when you are trying to find the perfect piece of candy in a giant candy store.
Love the stock Ableton plugins. Love how they look/are designed and most importantly sound, feel like there's just a whole lot control instead of shinyness and animations. Then again, I spend my money on hardware synths instead, but that's why I got into this whole thing. lol.
0:36 well lucky me i have 90s sample cd archive >:}
BUYING PLUGINS😂
Why not just have soft clipper on the master and turn up the kick normally.
Lesson #0: Learn music theory and how to read musical notes.
Once I figured out about soundfont files and the sampler it was all over
Still a novice, but the only money I have spent on plugins has been Addictive Drums 2… only because I couldn’t find free drum plugins that sounded good to my ear. I only buy a few packs when they are on sale. They have been fantastic and I will be using the more of them this year.
💯💯💯
Unfortunately I couldn’t highlight that feature whereas it’s grayed out. Any other alternatives?
started with Cooledit Pro and Cooledit 2000, and Calkwalk 5.0 back in 2000. It worked for what i needed.
Absolutely correct, Stock plug-ins are the best & enough to produce, mix & master music professionally. But make sure it should be a good complete Daw like Ableton Live, Studio one, Logic pro & FL.
Hey, music producer here, a good site to use is called SampleFocus, you can pay money to get more tokens or upload your own samples to get more samples, it’s actually a great way to get samples, also, my DAW is FL Studio Mobile, so mastering stock plugins is a must
thank you <3
👍👍👍👍
💎❤️💎❤️💎❤️
Thanks SerenityMakesMusic! I use the plugins I already have. I couldn't find anything nice outside of FL Studio just yet. I'm a beginner
the only plugin i'd pay money for is Fabfilter Pro-Q 3 because its one of the few EQ's that dont color and have the high cut filter reach up to 30khz so it doesnt color the sound when you open up a low pass filter. Another free alternative is TDR Nova but it lacks flexibility. Theres probably some open source options that i could configure to my liking about this but im already semi done with this hobby. Also the most important tips for noobs: - reference professional made tracks and use your ears instead of visual feedback when you eq or volume/gain/mix adjust. - Dont compress anything unless you want that squashed sound. - If something doesnt work change the length/sound/sample instead of EQing and compressing. - For maximum loundness and groove make sure your bass and kick are mixed right and theres no distortion on the low end area they inhabit when you isolate it. AKA the "club bathroom test". - Mastering guides are all BS. Each track has unique needs. - You can make hits with free shit these days. - You can sound like the 60s/70s/80s/90s by learning about modulation, distortion and filters. - Release your stuff even if you think they are shit. Tracks i put together fast or didnt like ended up being quite popular with listeners. - Self release on places like bandcamp. Never pay to get released its a scam.
There are some free(almost seems to good to be true) plugins that will also save your life: Vital OTT LABS These will literally make things so much easier when you begin making music!
Made a beat with one of your loops. How do I get in contact?
X! All my socials so be done very soon
Buying a daw ?
Thanks
This is what every beginner producer needs to hear! I personally have a little over 3500$ in music plugin and equipment + the big overrated Omnisphere 2.5 but a rarely use them all!
“Releasing your work is the only way to grow” I have a couple unreleased tracks I refuse to ditch Maybe it’s best to release them and maybe I can finally move on
It’s like a huge weight gets lifted once you finally release that art, and you get better and better each time
0:46 is there a genre for this lmao I want to call it Horrendous Beats lol
b-but i need serum 🙏
no. Serum sucks. Korg Legacy Collection is better as VST. And hardware is the best
The capitalist economy has lead us to a place where art is not a viable career anymore. So selling people the idea they can make a living with music is now a scam
Buying a DAW? Just use Reaper 😉
shiii thank you
