Juicy Ribeye Steak
**Instructions Below** - Please note cook times will vary based on size and thickness of steak. These instructions are also based on using the Griddle Hack from BBQ Hack which I highly recommend. Link to the griddle hack in comment section.
1. Let steak reach room temperature by letting it sit on the counter for30-45 minutes.
2. Keep it simple by seasoning both sides of steak with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
3. Apply 2 tablespoons of butter on hot griddle or skillet. Put steak on top of melted butter for 1.5-2 minutes.
4. Remove steak and apply 2 more table spoons of butter, flip steak and cook on top of melted butter for 45-60 seconds for medium rare (based on 1.25” thick steak.)

Smash Burgers on my Traeger Ironwood, BBQ Hack/Griddle Hack, & Spatula Hack
Просмотров 23 тыс.4 года назад
Simple Smash Burgers in minutes using my Traeger Ironwood. The combination with the Traeger and BBQ Hack's Griddle hack makes flat top cooking that much more exciting. Plus the spatula hack is fun to use and makes it even easier to make smash burgers. #SmashBurgers #Traeger #TraegerGrills #TraegerIronwood #BBQhack #GriddleHack #SpatulaHack #BBQ #Burgers

Very nice video. I have an Ironwood 650 as well. I watched your video while cooking a couple of racks myself. Thanks much!!! 😀
Love a good ribeye! Only thing missing is the grease box!
That’s not a BBQ, lol 🤦♂️also when you go to the foil phase I thought you should flip them to meat side down?
What is the brand and model of the griddle you got for the ironwood 885?
Fall off the bone is easy to cook. Just over cook them: EZ-PZ
Where did you get the griddle from? I have a silver ton 620 and want to do smash burgers
What griddle is that for your timberline 850?
If they are coming off the bone that easy, they are over cooked. If that is what you are into, then you do you. Properly cooked ribs should not fall off the bone. They should hold to the bone and come off clean when pulled away from the bone. That being said, I'd eat that whole rack.
What is the temperature of the griddle?
Just use a offset smoker and grill for 2 hours naked at 350 degrees!!
Is there a version that fits a 575 PRO?
Griddle for a Traeger or was there a different grill?
When you first turn it on the lid should be open
Yu talk too much..just cook..smh
you can make fall off the bone in the oven..
I’m going to try this method tomorrow for the 4th of July, for my family! They look so yummy!
if you have a smoker.. there are better ways
God dam that looks good
Outstanding vid. I did what you did and the results were perfection!!!
Awesome video, thank you.
+1 on the Blues Hog - been using it for about 10 years, it's our favorite!
Great video. Can you please confirm your temps for each of the 3 stages? In the beginning for your 3 hours smoke you said you use 200 but when you wrap them you said you increase the temp from 225 to 250. Therefore I’m not sure if you used 200’or 225 for the first 3 hours. Thanks.
Looks good! Trying ribs on the traeger right now for the first time. The recipe book said 180 degrees for 3 hrs, then 220 for 2 hrs. Not sure if it’s hot enough. I like my ribs to fall off the bones too, so I’ll follow your recipe next time! Thanks
Leave it at 180 to 200 all the way thru the 3-2-1 method. 3 smoke, 2 wrapped, 1 sauced!Low & slow wins the race. They WILL fall right off...YUM!
180 is perfect for the initial smoke. I always jack it up to 225 after that and ride it home.
"I could put on all 4 at the same time but I am out here to have fun" best line ever. I gave it a like. I bought a griddle but I went back to a carbon steel pan over the hopper. the Traeger's need to put the hopper in the middle of the grill like pitboss did. you got to try the oklahoma onion burger method and make another video! those are my favorite but maybe not for kids. they call it the recession burger because it is equal parts beef and onion. cheers buddy from southern california.
Look Fantastic! I like the rib spatula too.
If you use a small square of parchment paper on top of the burger when smashing it helps keep the burger from sticking to the Spatula.
You over cook those ribs, next time used your oven and save your pelletd
Nope, this ain't a competition style. Everyone I know that cooks ribs prefer fall off over the bite through
can we use charcoal/mesquite
Too much talk on the seasoning and what he likes to do we don’t have to see everything he’s doing and no one needs a lesson on the smoker way too long and boring.he should just show the cook is this guy a salesman for treagar or what this guy likes to hear himself talk this would not make completion ribs a little tug is good
Did you take the lower rack out first? And is the griddle right over the flame? I just got the ironwood 885 and like the looks of that griddle. Do you have a link to where you got it at?
Great ribs! Are you going meat-side down after the wrap?
If the meat falls off the bone it’s over cooked my friend.
Not to him, if that’s how he likes ribs let the man like em that way. Same way I love them. Thanks for sharing this video!
Most people prefer fall off the bone, I don't like bite through ribs either. This is the way to go
No, it is not. Fall off the bone the BEST!
Lmao
Save the bite for the comp boss’s
Never apply the mustard and rub going long ways, always follow the ribs up and down. Much nicer presentation.
idiot troll. it doesn't matter douche!
A few things 1. Food scientists have found out if you season your burger mixer makes for a tougher burger 2. Also by mixing the meat that much you are making a tougher burger, keep your patties as loose as possible you can tell that his happened in your video because as you push down to smash the burger it bounced back at you 3. Using cheese like that will render a greasy cheese pool, American cheese will provide a better melt and texture without greasy gross cheese
Hey man! Post more about the griddle. How to set it up, how to measure and monitor heat. Thanks!! Keep them coming!!! Oh and other videos, please make sure you tell us what temp you set your Traeger to.
Just ordered the griddle and spatula hack! Thanks dude! Add some grilled onions!!
How well does the grease tray drain into the pot on the side of the grill?
Nice video. Would you say it tastes better than a smoked burger on the traeger? New subscriber here. Really enjoyed it.
What temp are you running the Traeger at?
Bump
Great video! I plan on making this tomorrow I thought I would do 200° for the first three hours and then 225° for the rest. What do you think?
Amazing ribs man! Hard to beat baby back!
Much appreciated!
On point as always sir! 👍
Thank you sir.
Great video! These burgers look amazing! Will definitely be making these.
