MICHAEL BLOOMFIELD THE GREATEST BLUES GUITARIST EVER!!! I WOULD SEE HIM AT THE SWEETWATER IN MILL VALLEY OFTEN. YES HE WAS BEYOND HYPER BUT THE MUSIC WAS LIKE BEYOND INCREDIBLE!
We picked the Saturday afternoon concert at Monterrey so we could see Bloomfield's new band. I'd seen him numerous times with Butterfield. When Buddy belted out this one he blew the crowd away, myself included. Unfortunately the Flag never lived up to their possibilities, probably mostly because of drugs. A sad ending for them.
SO NICE TO HEAR TALK LIKE THAT! I WAS BORN AT THE WRONG TIME. I SHOULD WISH I LIVED BACK THEM. I HATE THIS TIME I WAS BORN IN. I DISPICE, HATE RAP MUSIC . MUSIC???? NO , I CALL IT GARBAGE. I LISTEN TO MY GRADFATHER'S RECORDS, QUICKSILVER MESSENGER SERVICE, JEFFERSON AIRPLANE,STEVE MILLER BAND, CANNED HEAT, BIG BROTHER AND THE HOLDING CO., BLUE CHEER AND MANY OTHERS.... THAT'S MUSIC, NOT GARBAGE THE 2024, THE 'NEW BREED IS HEAR BUT, I DON'T BELONG, I DON'T FIT IN IT, I FEEL I' M NOT PART OF, I DON'T PRACTICE 'YOSISM, YO' MAN IS NOT MEANT FOR ME , IS NOT MY LANGUGE.
Gawd... so GOOD. Loved the first Electric Flag album. What an extraordinary ollection of talent. I had the great fortune of seeing them live when I was 13 at the Shrine in LA, with Soft Machine, Blue Cheer, and some guy named Jimi something or other headlining. Can't believe my parents let me go!! February 1968.
Such a great performance! It has a warm 60’s soul type feel to it, remarkable how Buddy Miles manages those powerful vocals while pounding the drums to near destruction!
Came to see why Gram Parsons’ International Submarine Band was dubbed by Electric Flag in the movie The Trip 1967. Guess they preferred Southern California white guys on screen over the multiracial psychedelic band with the Black guy lead singer.
It was groovy. Now, i have asked a thousand times; what has happened to my generation? How did so many go from free love and wanting to change the world; to being more concerned about $ an blindly believing anything. I consider myself and aging Hippie.

Who is the drummer singing, is it Buddy Miles?
Oh ya
Please tell me his hippy rap was parody. Please. It sounds like a whacked-out script from Dragnet.
2:32 White rhythm section.
Nick The Greek Gravenites RIP
Mike was high as a kite.
Love this band. Love this track!
Dan Erlewine sent me.
Music is awesome. But we must remember it is a gift of God. Otherwise it turns into something it’s not meant to be.
I still have their LP!
Buddy Miles was great.
Buddy Miles got the stuff vocally and playing drums.......See drinkin Wine , Bloomfield is on a tear.
ŔIP BLOOM & Buddy Thank You

Is that Barry on keyboard? All these guys were so gifted. I thought I saw Gravenites a few minutes ago.
He brought us together in a different space and time God love Michael Bloomfield. Dude forgot more notes than I can play.
Ooooo.. shit ! Am I wrong ????? I see Clint Eastwood in the first seats row on 3:18 ????

What a fantastic group. Bloomfield said he wanted the music to be distinctively American and Groovie. He succeeded so very well.
COOL 👍♥️👏
If I could find a drummer who could sing like that...
Yeah, man.
Awesome footage of a killer band. Bloomfield's level of excitement is wonderful to see. Buddy Miles could sing! Wow.
We need all the videos of this guy as we can get
Buddy was only 19 years old here. Playing and singing his ass off‼️
No wonder I never heard much by them. They're an average "opening act" 60's band with little originality.
I'm not Certain but Wasn't Buddy miles in Hendrix Gypsies and Later Greatfull dead or was that Billy Cobham ?
yeah Buddy played with Band of Gypsies later on
😊❤

San Francisco now is way over priced and run down. Very sad indeed. I finally made it to Haight-Ashbury, during April 88. Was soaking in the vibes

You gotta love Mike. What a sad loss.
Not too bad but their song writing wasn't that good.and no,buddy wasn't a great singer.
Buddy was the cats pajamas, Godspeed sir.
I still listen to the Electric Flag album, it's still a great record.
I think the studio version of this song doesn’t do it justice
