Windy day in Prospect Park Brooklyn This video was a headache. 40 mins was cut out because the video size was too big. And was only able to upload in 1080p Any suggestions leave in the comments Thanks for watching 22:12: Attack 26:25: Attack 28:17: Randy catches a flat
Perfect effort 🙏👍👍👍
Thanks
Great effort !! Congrats from France !!
Thanks! 💪🏾💪🏾
Fuck me that's an absolute insane effort
are you working with a coach?
Nah no coach
Lets plan and ride stage 4 together. I did satge 3 but in a much smaller group
I’m down!! I’ll hit you up on the Zwift companion app
What is your height and weight (kg) and ftp
5’9 around 190 pounds 309 ftp
Great finish!
@@SteakandChains Thanks man appreciate it💪🏾
This is just a though course to race on. Well done!
Thanks💪🏾
There’s no doubt that you’re as strong as an ox brah, but you’ll never win if you don’t learn drafting tactics and play possum as you’re just flogging yourself unnecessarily. Let the pack do the work.
@@paulmorrison30 Thanks!! And yea I’ll get the hang of it
I think you can win if you sit in their draft instead of pulling the pack.
Thanks!! Yea I’ll keep that in next go around
Bro, I do this race this evening. Not looking forward to either hill at all....that shit is going to be brutal. 😬
@@Bruhfit_ocr yea it’s no joke 😂. GO HARD BRODIE!!💪🏾💪🏾
Nice race man. Huge strategic improvement with drafting.
Thanks man I’ve seen the comments lol. Next video I resorted back to my old ways. Didn’t go so well
Man gear are you riding at to get that much speed and power? I got a Zwift ride and i can only ride at like gear 14. I know it’s probably different from the bike gear
I’m riding on my bike gears. What’s zwift ride?
My man was working! 💪🏾 Cycling brings at the animal in you, if you let it. Well done man, you will be wrecking havoc in due time! Strong strong
Yea I love it, the feeling never gets old💪🏾💪🏾
@@GAMED0G Exactly, never ever gets old. Well done brotha, what category was that? B?
Excellent effort bruv ✊🏾👊🏾💪🏾. When you learn to draft more and utilise more tactics so you don’t show your abilities too early, you’ll be a formidable force and will win many, many races. You definitely have a massive engine so all you need is experience 👊🏾👌🏾
Thanks Brodie appreciate it💪🏾
Zwift ain’t worth 200bpm hahaha jk good stuff brotha!
😂😂 Thanks man
No duele la espalda estar tanto tiempo en esa posición?
Nice work brother!! I would recommend a towel over the top of your bike. the sweat will make everything corrode really fast! keep up the good work! fitness gain is a slow and steady process!!
Thanks I appreciate it
You burned a lot of matches at the front. Awesome ride though
Thanks!!🙏
Damn you're 💪 on those Watts.
Man maybe you should consider more powerful fan. It'll make big difference. I was sweating all over with weak fan. Great effort!
The fan I have is pretty strong just sweat a lot
You have sheer power and good endurance but you are eating way too much wind, no need to be at the front as much as you. No-one wins a race for being in P1 with 9 miles to go.
Wow was surprised to see how powerful you were with 314 average Watts which is crazy, your Heart rate monitor seems bad though….i use Garmins version and I find it very accurate and very fast…for 10mins yours was giving some mad readings but I see you adjusted it but still reacted very slowly 😅. Great cycling 👊🏽, we use KM’s not miles and I think mentally it makes such a difference as I couldn’t believe how long a mile was again 😂
@@smithy1011 Thanks man appreciate ! Yea I ordered the Polar H10 should be here so.
Yes my brother. I'm on the journey with you. 👍🏾👍🏾
@@TheCyclingMinister Likewise 💪🏾. Thinking about taking another crack at it
Not gonna repeat what everyone else said. Once you get some race tactics down you are going to be a beast! Way to suffer!!
Yea Thanks man!. Thought more people would appreciate the all out effort
I was impressed as hell! That’s some old school “F*** you! I’ll go to the front and kick your ass!” Stuff. Love it. Keep it coming.
Great work GAMEDOG
@@drewbuffington Appreciate it. Thanks!!
I think you could have won draft until the last mile or two, but to be in the front this early was not a good strategy.
Yea will be switching it up for upcoming races
New follower. Couple of things I’ve observed: -You’re leading most of the race, don’t, sit in people’s wheel at the front group -Keep a powerup for the end sprint -use downhills for a quick recovery break (anything gradient -4/5% stop pedalling let your body weight get you there) -your HRM is iffy, get a new one they aint all that expensive -I might be wrong but based on sound and lack of any airflow signs on your video it looks like you aren’t using a fan, if you don’t, get one, they are a game changer. Got a question: which sweatband is that? I sweat ridiculous amounts from the head and regular nike ones are soaked within 15m Don’t give up, your physical capabilities are way up there, you’ll know how to give it your all and don’t shy away from it either! You’ll be able to win races in your category and above with the right approach! Looking forward to more content! Ride on!
@@vashizm I appreciate the sub! I have a big fan on the floor so the airflow is good. Just order a new HRM(the one recommended was pricey but it’s all good) I cut a hole in a Specialized Prime series thermal beanie And made a sweatband out of it(it works) And good looking on the advice, Next race I’ll sit in for about 85% of the race then go for it. I’ll be uploading Stage 3 on Monday. I also have the steering but never use it thinking drafting didn’t mean much on zwift but I see I was wrong
@ thx for the heads up on cutting a beanie, makes sense! :)
@ trust me😂😂
You need to draft. Too much wasted power.
Nice wattage! 💪👊
Song? Nice video. Good race. Subbed
Thanks!!! Very much appreciated.
You got a great workout despite bad racing tactics! Just based on what I see here, you have both the aerobic capacity and the sprint to compete at a much higher level. Like 650+ racing score. Zwift racecraft takes time, though you can speed the learning curve by trying to implement advice of more experienced racers like what you see here
Thanks. And yea will do!
Awesome effort. It would be fun to ride with you. Everyone already said everything I would recommend. I will add you and Zwift and we can work together for a W for you. Great job
Cool I just added you!!
bro. Why are you leading at the front of the pelton? You took so much wind and wasted so much energy. It's like you are trying to control the race for your teammate or something .... Are you doing a threshold work out? Or are you racing to win? If you had stay in the draft of the pelton, you might have energy in the end to do somehting.
@@dylanl9532 😂😂 I’ll take your advice for my race on Monday
GG! Some of the best advice I've heard regarding racing is you gotta play a game with yourself of acheiving the lowest possible avg power for the 99% of the race leading up to the sprint. Look at it like lowest avg power wins the race ;) reap the benefits of the draft, pedal efficiently and then rip it open
Tactically terrible but man... that's some effort! Awesome to watch someone emptying the tank from start to finish! Chapeau
Thanks man appreciate it!! And Yea the “Going for broke” tactic doesn’t seem to be working😂😂
If you stay in the pack through the first flat section then punched up a climb then did the going for broke, you would have won. To ride off the front without putting in a sprint is not easy. You doing 4wkg on the front means everyone else can do 3.3wkg and just sit on your wheel. Still….. great to watch😎
You literally weren't joking when you said vomit warning. 208bpm heart rate sheesh. The maximum I have ever got to was 205bpm
To be honest I think my HR monitor was reading high. But still 🤮 at the very end😂😂😂
But yeah awesome effort, I think I would only last 5 to 6 minutes at that effort.
My HR went above 200bpm while doing a few threshold efforts but I still didn't barf. I think I was holding around 230 watts for 20 minutes and my HR stayed in the 200s for the last 3 minutes.
Mans holding 350 watts and only 108bpm. My heart rate goes higher than that eating a sandwich
Nah Nah Nah😂😂😂 HR monitor works when it wants. Have to get a new one. Any recommendations let me know because it’s becoming an headache
@@GAMED0G Garmin Hrm-Pr or polar h10 , strap of course
@ Thanks, I’ll order the Polar H10 soon
@@GAMED0G have u tried to just swap the battery?
Just get a Garmin watch and broadcast your heart rate. Simple, reliable, accurate, no straps, no batteries to change and you can get a forerunner 55 for under $100.
208bpm.... SHEESH!!!!
😂😂 Nah my max is around 190bpm. My HR monitor works when it wants. Should be getting a new one soon. What do you use?
@ Polar H10
@@GAMED0G I also acquired the Polar a year ago. My last 3 Garmins either gave up on me or worked when they wanted to or were only recognized once out of two. Since then, with the Polar, it's a whole other world of precision. Otherwise, as for the race itself, you should have stayed in the group and taken advantage of the slipstream to lead an attack in the second part. You are very strong, you manage to maintain a high wattage for a long time. No doubt that in the sprint, with freshness, you would have had a very good place. Very enjoyable as a video.
Awesome effort, thanks for uploading I was in the race and thought we would have a nice leisurely ride till the sprint finish...
Thanks!! And yea for sure the first half did seem that way. The last minute took everything out of me
Love that intro!
Thanks!!
Nice footage. To record the videos are you using the insta360 x4 or the insta360 ace pro?
@@manoelbueno9997 Thanks!! Ace Pro is what I am using
They need to make the right lane (of 3 lanes) each way, into a bike lane. There are times I’ve had a close call with cars passing too closely. It might slow traffic down as well.
@@stevebailey7633 yea and also drivers opening their car door
Way to fight back to the chase group and then charge straight through them! Strong work! Congrats on the upgrade!
Thanks man I Appreciate it!! Zwift racing is a whole different animal
One suggestion is either talk during the vid or add some better and less calm music
Appreciate the advice. Wasn’t too sure on wlthe background music
Cool video bro I’m just starting zwift now
You maintain power and speed really well past the rink that's impressive no lie .
Thanks 🙏 high steady pace is what I enjoy most. It Helped me get a lot stronger overtime
New to biking - you making me want to get the entire indoor setup for the winter 🤣
😂😂it’s addictive and convenient. You want regret it especially if you’re into cycling
@@GAMED0G I run - but to give my joints a break a friend recommended cycling. He does zwift too and I see how intense it is - and your videos prove it - i love it!
that near miss with the cyclist on your left and police van on the right was crazy
Yea have to stay alert when riding with random riders
Bro nice FTP increase! Good work! I was in a race yesterday where the riders was averaging 400+w. I hung with them for 11 miles but a steep hill took me out with 4 miles to go. Shouldn't have squatted the day before🙄
400watts is OD! You was racing with the pros. 11 miles isn’t no joke. How often you deadlift/squat a week?
@@GAMED0G I alternate between squats and deadlifts every other day. Days I am not lifting I am racing. This is the first time it came back to bite me. Usually I am fine but the squats with the pace torched my legs faster than normal this race. Moving forward, I think I am only racing once a week and after a day off. I am just going to do cycling or cardio workouts the other days I would usually race.
@ yea I need to become more consistent with my strength training. Probably start off with 2x week. The first couple of weeks of lifting the soreness is a killer
@@GAMED0G bro, you have motivated me to start youtubing again.
@ means a lot forreal!! Thanks man. Been wanting to do RUclips for a while but kept holding it off. So I made it a point to upload at least 3 videos a week
