Des was an angling legend that will be sadly missed Rip Des.
He's definitely still alive. 👍
I suffer from sea sickness on small boats, been on many crruise ships with no ill effects but my one trip shark fishing from Looe saw me very unwell. One question for you regulars, there were many dolphins around the boat in one clip, do they ever take the bait?
As a newcomer to Barbel fishing, someone with walking disability, any ideas on the location for this swim, as I’d love to have an afternoon there next year. Post code would be helpful
Electrolytes are key in that climate
They all say don't wait to hit the fish as soon as you get an indication. See how many fish you lose hitting them as soon as you get an indication.
WOW. BRAVO FOR YOU FROM SERBIA!
Brits' fishing= 90% feeding 10% actual fishing lol I bet you'd catch fishes still without feeding/chumming the fishes. I bet it. Of course you wouldnt catch at many as the one who spends allot to feed the fishes a week beforehand every day just to fish one day at the end of it. They chum in the sea because its neccessary. Brits chum because it has become a norm because old anglers been spreading it like a awareness of sort, presenting it as true and tested tactic of fishing which is absolutely necessary if you will to land a fish... The fact is, they started doing it too bulge up the sizes of UK's fishes to max. Now, with almost everybody in UK can't fish without throwing in free feeds of at least 10kg in the water, i mean look at those carps for ex. You call that wild fish!?? oh cmom mate, human fed fishes aren't wild fish, and truth be told(sad or not), you really can't fish wild in UK anymore nowadays. It begun as combined effort between anglers of the old and the British wild life and fishing committees(of government). Same wit the practice of "knee with the fish", "care for the fish like" ... though this one a great habit actually(care for the environment doesn't has limit). To simplified all, UKs old anglers succesfully brainwashed the generation to come😂 It's similar to in US , where companies brainwashed anglers, successfully too. Now you better be rich kids, and got a bassboat with butloads of electric to be successful at bass fishing lol And you better has like dozen types of rod and reel combo to become a true bass angler 🤦🏻 UK wants their carpforms to be the biggest in the Eurasia. Americans, typical capitalism 😅 I urge you(brit) go out without your feeders and pallets one day, try throw a simple bread or worm on baithook via a float? Why not test that theory of "you wont hav a fun day fishing if you didn't feed the fishs 100$ worth of food first" You'd be surprised... Oh thanks me later
I HAVE DROPPED MANY FISH BUT NEVER MY BACON HAHAHA
My local commercials dont allow surface fishing. If they did, you'd be inundated with ducks, moorhen and coots!
Im just a cray fisher, but i love watching, listening and learning. You put everything back , i take the signals out. Thank you
Great video and tips 👌
The way you treat fish is fucking disgraceful. Such an old man's way of doing it.
It’s not just me then getting splashed in the face from returning the fish !!!
I have watched a few videos now, and just sitting reminiscing about times gone by. I have mentioned previously that my uncle Tom was a rep / traveller for Effgeco fishing tackle, owned by a John Goddard. It was him and my Father that started myself and two younger brothers fishing at a very early age. Back to the reminiscing, not sure about my dad but i know uncle Tom fished with Fred J Taylor way way back in the day. I was just wondering are you at all related to Fred J Taylor 🤔 by any chance ?? Hope you do not mind me asking ?. Cheers Les. As always wonderful viewing and informative 👌 Many thanks.
Is the pigeon drowning the one making that sound?
Really nice nature footage, are you able to monotize this?
Can just see my Dad and my Uncle Fred and Mr Taylor chewing the fat about the fishing they had done over the years, Des would be there friend for life and probably vice verse. RIP my Dad George and Uncle Fred.🫂🫂💙🍻
Hi Des, that are really small thin wire treble hooks you are using.
Great vid but why do you not use wind on leaders ? Makes life so much easier ….
Leg
Awesome work mate. Beautiful footage and scenery! Defo heading there this Autumn.

Ed's a lovely bloke and a very good angler, always a good chance to see him at Patshull Park!
I caught my first ever Barbel from Severn at Iron Bridge, thirty odd years ago 🎣
For me is one of the best anglers I ever had the pleasure of meeting many times. Great man with so much knowledge. Tight lines des. Keep bashing away.

My 1st ever barble session next week looking warm so 🤞🏽...I won't listen to anyone but Des💯
How did it go?
An masterpiece video 👍👍👍
Wonderful video, Des is a local legend to all who know him.
I did my first trip last November and got the bug - Second trip completed in April and booked again for this coming November. As you say, the power is unbelievable. Can't recommend Thailand highly enough with 2 very special venues now my favourites - Jurassic Mountain at Cha Am and Wasana in Pattaya
Nice one Des, started catching big bream here at Stourport. Great to see you're still with us. I'm getting a bit rusty now.
What a wonderful video, thoroughly enjoyed it. Never got the chance to fish the River Severn, but did catch Barbel on the Hampshire Avon to 9 lbs. Now live in New Zealand, so it’s mostly Tench, Rudd, Perch and Koi Carp.
An absolute pleasure to watch this presentation and learn something at the same time ,thank you Des.
It's a cheese burger..😂
Puffing Des..different to the cuttlemill video.
I still have the vhs of gesture fishing at Cuttle Mill.. He shaped my fishing from that video as a young lad.
Hi a tip pick small bits out of pellets and boilies so it looks like its been in the water for a while and would seem a SAFE food item. Good show.
Hi great show. Educational to. What are your thoughts on bait additives for dead baits ? I like to always have a flavord bait.
Brawo Des 👍👍👍👍
Great film Des , thank you for all your tips and instruction. Regards Dave
Where's the picture Camara man? ❤️
Add some garlic salt to the oil that it is cooking in and you will increase your chances further. Great tip Des
