TRAVELLING TO SWEDEN & PHOTOGRAPHY BLUNDERS
nice ad?
I think these are great for casual shooting. Just picked one up and it's now my favorite P&S film camera behind the Pentax IQ zoom I purchased (for next to nothing) a year ago. I'd say any serious shooter should have one of these, as it seems the price is going up on them which tells me the supply may be getting scarce on this and other cameras like it.
Hello love the video I am building a home studio My measurements are 17x16 with 8 ft ceiling Do you think I can build one of these I was thinking 12x12 what’s the minimum size you recommend is 8ft ceiling ok ✅
The XA series of cameras were targeted to users who wanted to keep a camera on or near their persons at all times, addressing the then-common criticism that if you didn't have a camera when a photo opportunity was presented, you didn't get a photo. The designer of the original XA insisted on the thinnest possible camera shell, When he went to the optical department, they recommended a Tessar lens design (4-element). The designer rejected the idea because he would have to make the camera about 1/10 of an inch thicker to fit that lens. Instead, he got what was called a "reverse retrofocus" lens (6 elements, with the most inner element almost sitting on the film). The concept of that lens was known, but it had not been used before because (1) it was very expensive to build, and (2) its optical quality was a significantly inferior to that of simpler and less costly lenses like the Tessar. With intent to stuff the XA with features to help marketing its sales, some not well implemented, it was saddled with a viewfinder best described as "squinty", couple to a rangefinder with an optical base so small as to be useless. To get cost compromises, the XA uses cheapened other parts, such as lack of a real aperture, rather using a "V-plate" aperture most suited to an old $10 box camera. The XA2 was later launched to produce a more rationally designed camera, improving on the failings of the XA design and saving money as well. So, the useless rangefinder was ditched and viewfinder improved. The under-performing, expensive lens was dumped in favor of the Tessar-copy lens originally proposed, using a real aperture diaphragm. While both models offer only auto-exposure, the f-stop selection of the XA was dropped for a full auto exposure operation in the XA2. Conclusion: the XA2 is the better user for the casual, snap shooting user, both in terms of convenience and the optical quality of the images.
Curious, you won the job or not? 😂
Nice camera, very small, nice LS400 very big.
I love your content guys, you’re doing a great work
Nice if it was digital
The Xa allows you to shoot Aperture priority that with manual focus is great for a tiny little camera ! Love mine - mind you it is old so go easy - if you buy one or acquire one - it will probably need new seals - replacement seal kits available on Ebay and youtube videos to show you how ! Thanks nice vid !
I don't work in marketing, and I'm not a potential client, but I wish I could employ you guys based on those ads!
you sir are a legend!
Ottr white socks when?
👀👀
Ben’s sister, 26, never had a fab. They just didn’t exist in the Lawton Household. Viennetta was the staple.
Fabs are the pinnacle of all ice lollies
Nice cyc wall! Can I ask what's your ceiling height like? I'm looking at DIY cyc build in my studio but wondering if my 9 ft. (2.74 m) is too tight for it to be worth the trouble.
Wow Nice !
Typed on Word still darn good
Do you use flash in daylight?
Just gagged watching dan try to deep throat a hubba bubba. Strange start to the day.
In some ways the most painful tattoo is the one you never get

The drip is unreal
Hey guys, do you use a two mic preamp? And to record a third one you just plug it in straight to a camera? I am figuring out a set for 3 people. Most common interface seems to be for 2. So I am a little lost. Thank you!
Hey! We use the Rodecaster from Rode which has 4 XLR inputs. I agree with you, a lot are 2 inputs. The solution you said sounds good though, you'll just have to sync it up in post 🤙🏻
salut. awesome video-work- see ya!;)
Thank you! Cheers!
