That is the most impressive thing I've seen in a long time.
Thank you for your comment. Glad you like it. I am in the process of doing the same type of build with a 1976 BMW 2002 body onto a 2017 BMW M2 chassis. I will Post it on RUclips when it is completed with photos of the build process next year when it is completed. This one is taking me 3 years now that I am in my 80s.
People have asked where to get the double channel tubing to make their own folding T top. I got mine from Morse Industries 800 325-7513 It is called H2UBE CHANNEL TUBING Made by www.morseindustries.com it is listed under tubing / canvas hardware . Hope this helps Doug
Can you please tell me where you got the clips with the bail on it to clasp both the top halfs together. Thanks so much.

Do you know the name of the company that makes the tubbing with the slit for the t-top fabric. I am about to attempt this myself and would love to use them if possible
Sorry but I don't remember . I think the product was called U tubing or U 2 tubing. I know some of the boat manufactures use it.
Thank you Sr. for your time, I have a Ford Fusion Titanium 2014 and the way to replace the seat side airbag is the same, I look to your video because is a mustang and think the ford get this way from mustang to fusion and looking at the service manual is for sure, so thank you so much for that!!!
Fantastic! Not in my wildest dreams. I loved the narrative, too. Doug is so competent, so confident in his ability to do what he says he's going to attempt. Goodonya, Mate!
Wow, great video. I've bought a few wrecked cars at Copart but have been afraid to buy any with blown seat airbags, because of the expense. No more fear, thanks!
Thank you so much for this video, this is the first time I saw all of this video. For some reason, there are clips of you already out by the truck showing and I never caught the first part of this video which is the answer to my problems with my fog lights. Thank you again!
Very helpful, thank you
Thank you. Getting ready to install POD lights. You've saved me some serious time with all my projects. By the way...GORGEOUS GORGEOUS 1934 Packard Twelve!.
Very good idea, thanks for share
There’s Silver tube looking item inside where the air bag is located. Identical to the piece you picked up in this video and mentioned it was from your roof. Does this also need to be replaced when replacing the air bag? Thanks Doug!
The silver tube comes with the ford replacement part.
Invaluable! Bought some 2018 seats with a blown airbag for my 91 Foxbody. Just a note; the newer seats (such as my 2018) have a seat cover slightly easier to remove.
Great video sir thanks for your help!!
Hey Doug, this is exactly what I need to do. I want to do it my self but I got to ask is there any welding involved? Or do I need to have someone do the welding for me... I dont weld
Yes there is aluminum tig welding and you need to buy. some special H2tube to split the top. It's worth it as you will have a factory looking and very strong folding tee top that dosn't look Mickey Mouse .
@@douglasfernandez7996 Thanks Doug. Your method is the bomb. Folding it forward like some companies are now selling just is too heave for this old 72 year old.
Doug, incredible video. I just purchased a used 2018 Raptor. This will save me a ton of time wiring accessories. Thanks!

😍❤️🔥👍🏼
I had a light bar "professionally" installed and my relay on the harness burnt out for some reason. Thanks to you, I now know it can be wired better and cleaner.
Thanks for the info about the passthrough wires. I initially wired there but got no lights. I measured and my meter displayed nothing. I searched and found your video helpful. The other set of wires were well hidden and it took time to find them. Finally took the time to install the lights I bought a year ago for my 2019 Raptor.
Thanks for the comment . I had Ford take back my 2018 Raptor under the lemon law for a bad engine. I ordered a new 2022 Raptor October 29 2021. Ford changed the order to a 2023 last September. I just got notified of a Vin number. First build date will be March 2023. I am suffering from Raptor drought.
Hope that was not too much hassle but compare to what I went through, I don't doubt it was. My issue was simpler, a defective display panel on a brand new Raptor. Took multiple visits with each time I pleaded with them to talk to a mechanic. When they finally did, the guy just said something like, oh, yeah, that's common and I know what's wrong.
Hope my new Raptor will not have any problems. Ford would only allow me what I paid for my 2018 Raptor toward any new none specialty ford product as part of the Lemon buy back deal. I took a 2021 F-150 Platinum Hybrid while I waited for the 2022 Raptor order banks to open. Great truck except every time I drive it there is something different do to the constant over the air updates Ford installs. It borders between being interesting too being scary.
Hey great video I have a 2019 raptor and been wanting to find out where those AUX wires are I never looked before. I'm goin to have a look now and see if my wires are bundled where yours are and check out the book for the color other wise thank god I'm an electrician I can figure it out with a meter if the colors don't match my manual... thanks
Ford came out with a supplementary correction three months after I made this video. Your colors should agree now. Thanks for watching
AWESOME
amazing build...I really like the shoebox fords
sweet ride
Great videos very detailed thks and good luck on your build.
Fantastic idea! Cuts the weight in half for the user and clearance from the front of the console is not an issue with your design vs. a front hinge. The underway stress of waves impacting the bow being transferred to the T-Top is also dealt with better as the hinges are transverse. Great inspiration for my project! Where did you buy the "slide bolts"? I can find stainless draw latches everywhere, but your latches add a pin through the latching mechanism to keep the pipes centered once drawn. I've been looking for hours for these latches - that is the perfect application.
Protex hood catches makes a good selection . This top has not given me any problems and works just like the day I built it. It is just as sturdy as if it was not converted to folding.
@@douglasfernandez7996 Thank you! That is such an amazing design! You are super creative! I am so glad you shared this.
Phenomenal and so eye catching
Needed this also my bags came out from my mustang 2016 as well as my seats what should I do @all @anyone please and thank you 🙏🏻🙏🏻
Not sure what your question is. You can just buy new air bags and install them as I showed in the video. Any upholstery shop can sew the covers.
Great video
Had a question about seat airbags, I want to put another set of seats in my car, they are from a car that one year newer, still same car as mine but different color, better material seats than the ones I have now, my question is I know about disconnecting the battery before removing reinstalling the seats, does the airbag in the new seat have to be "coded" to the vehicle?
Check to see if both air bags have the same part numbers to make sure they are compatible with the comparator. In most cases the Computor will self program when the battery is reconnected. If not you can have your local dealer do this.
You did such an amazing job!! Absolutely love what you've done.
i actually picked up a very comfortable bucket seat from the junk yard to turn it into a desk chair, and my main concern is that that air bags might randomly go off at my desk and looking at how i can disable or remove them since they never went off.
The air bag can only go off with an electrical charge like a fire cracker needs to be lit with fire before it explodes. During an accident satellite switches sense the direction of the impact and send a high voltage current to the approiate air bags. Since the wires were disconnected to remove the seat there is no chance of deployment unless someone intentionally hot wires it. You can always tape of the wire plug ends if you think someone might try that. .
@@douglasfernandez7996 that is awesome info and comforting to know! thank you very much and great video.
Excellent job
Great tutorial and brilliant skills
Crazy helpful!! THANK YOU
Excellent , very well described and filmed in nice clear and simple language.
Thanks for this! Just wired up my light bar and you saved me some headaches!
Nice!
i think i blew aux switch # 3 fuse. where is the fuse located at? i can't seem to find it.
Search on line for 2018 F-150 Owners manual. Click on it that and a drop down menu will appear. Scroll down to Fuse Specification Chart. Click on that and you will see a description of the fuses and locations. Scroll down the right column until you see #3 up fitter relay. You will see to the left that it takes a 10A fuse and it is at location 88 in the power distribution box under the hood. Hope this helps. PS my 2018 Raptor went back to Ford this past August under the lemon law. They were kind enough to give me a 2021 F-150 Platinum power boost in exchange for a few more dollars. In October I place an order for a 2022 Raptor 37". which I hope will be here in the spring. I will be trading in the 2021 power boost which is an excellent truck but not a Raptor. I can't say enough on how well Ford took care of me and will be a customer of theirs for life.
Awesome explanation! Very helpful. Thank you!
Very impressive
thank you
Thanks great video 👍
Thank you for this. I used it today on my 2019 Raptor to wire in my ARB air compressor.
WOW….next level….👍🏻
Very nice work. What do you think it will be worth if you sold it today?
BETWEEN $75,000 AND $150,000
Really transformed the wheel!
Impressive work 👌🏾
Life saver
Great job. Thanks
I saw this at Cars and coffee in Guilford this weekend, it was great talking to you. Great job on the car.
Thanks it was a fun build
