It makes it more realistic and engaging when it isn't France and England, it is 2 lords in a dispute, deigning to resolve it by force of arms! Tournaments to show off your personal prowess, the armor, the seasonal changes, the need to plan a campaign and not get guys for battle. Make sure a food surplus exist, plan your route, gather forces or pick them up on the march, man border fortresses. As for those here saying there wasn't wooden fortifications, I dispute that. A castle was indeed a fortress for military purpose, it was also a lords home, it was a center of administration, communities sprung up around these for various reasons. Manor estates also exists, not by kings and dukes, but wealthy extented family, minor nobility, appointed officials. A manor or offical building may be placed for administration Before a need/desire/permission for fortifications. A minor nobleman may not be ultra rich for a large stone castle, but a fair wooden one isn't something to scoff at. It is more organic than you think. It would be like saying "Americans didn't live in trailers in 2008, these pictures and records from Miami prove it!" I hope I am making sense and don't sound silly. P.S. Game looks ridiculous. Cool concept but I'd expect a lot more.

I like the idea. But for the price and current state of the game I feel Warband or Bannerlord with mods is a better option.

I bought this game, i like it. The system works like this, you have areas in your towns you can upgrade to farmland for peasants or farmland for your lord. Castles myabe start out as wooden castles on a motte or maybe if you are lucky a stone castle. So you need to upgrade them. In my campaign i was besieged in a similar castle. The enemy had the numerical advantage, i sallied out killed a captain and the army commander. The enemy fled... that was real fun. I could have lost but i took a chance and it worked.

Castles built in 1290 and onwards were not wooden little mounds lmao

When I saw that Soviet soldier in the trench at 2:43, I was saying "No, no, no, look!" Those artillery guns at 21:32 was insane with all of the AP rounds being shot.

I'm not even going to list any time stamps due to how many cool and bad ass moments there were throughout this video. Props to the map and mission maker, and keep making great Easy Red 2 content Wilwingo. So happy I have a PC now, hope I can get the Easy Red 2: All Fronts Pack soon. Great video, wonderful. Sad Terry Thorne didn't make, it. Thankful the Japanese spared him and captured him without torturing him, only if he could make it to the end. RIP.

This battle is what inspired author James Jones to write the book The Thin Red Line, he was a member of Fox Company, 27th infantry regiment of the 25th Infantry Division. As for the shotgun, as a matter of fact yes! I have a photo from this battle where GI’s were carrying the Model 12 shotgun.

I gotta recommend Black One blood brothers if you like that tactical command feel but more indepth than er2 (command tac map , individual squad control) and it's $17 on steam another indie fps that's underrated compared to other tac shooters!

I think the Russian soldiers having WWII helmets might be accurate. Some soldiers over there just have to use stuff from previous wars and such, I remember my brother telling me how his friend from Russia got drafted and had told him that he saw a guy take a Soviet WWII ushanka, smack it, and dust just flew up from it. Those Ukrainians in the game laughing also game me a chuckle, I also thought this part at 12:50 was funny.
