    My 2012 Honda Civic coupe is different than your Honda Civic sedan. The window switch panel is not removable by itself. It looks like I have remove the door panel first.

    Is that death line between cylinders? Look, this is 100% done on purpose to make engine not last long time. That's the reason for all of these 1.5T failed gaskets. It will last, but eventually it will blow because of very little space between cylinders and that cut line between cylinders.

    Does this have to be done with the vehicle leveled? Or can my vehicle up into a ramp for easier access to the drain plugs?

    • @MechanicalMalarkey
      @MechanicalMalarkey 5 дней назад

      Ideally it should be level, so just ramps wouldn't be the best.

    I was surprised I could contort myself into position to do the replacement. I didn't have that ability when I was a teenager, but can do it now because I'm in much better health, no thanks to local doctors. Pulling the floor mat out of the way, putting a carpet remnant on the ground, using a mirror, as well as a small flood light really helped. Thanks for the video! It made the process easy to grasp. Fortunately, one of the local NAPA stores had the blower.

    I sometimes use a torque wrench to remove lug nuts to see how much they are OVER torqued. I helped a young man from Canada switch over from snow tires. His Corolla had a really low torque spec. like 83 ft. lbs. They were close to 250 foot pounds, and yes, hard to remove. This can warp your brake rotors from the excessive pressure. What's worse was the studs were coated with grease. He said that corrosion in Canada would eat up the threads without grease, and that his dad was an engineer. Dear old dad was greasing and over-torquing all of their cars, for Safety.

    What the mechanics have done to me is break the capping that goes over the lug nut. I hate that they make two piece lug nuts. When they break off the capping this now changes the size of the lug nut and the lug wrench that comes with the car will now be to big for the lug nut. So, if I were to get a flat my lug nut would not be able to remove the lugs with the broken capping. I just got tires at Pep Boys and they broke the capping off of 4 of my lug nuts. So, now I have ordered 20 new lugs nuts that are one piece, they have no capping. This is the second vehicle that I've had to replace the two piece lug nut with 20 new one piece lug nuts. Have you seen the two piece lug nuts I'm talking about?

    • @ph1ll1p
      @ph1ll1p 7 часов назад

      I just replaced my lugs on my F150. That is not the mechanics fault at all, it’s the two piece design. Water gets between the actual lug and the cap, swells due to cooler temps or rust and gets deformed out of shape

    Anyone experience the differential grinding/vibrating after the oil change? It wasn’t before and now it is
