Easy Install 3D Printed Shelf Brackets
Another approach to your standard shelf bracket. Instead of having the bracket extend at 90 degrees from the wall, angle it 20 degrees to the side. Makes it so much easier to screw the wall screws in and still gives great support.
Printed in PETG, you can get the STL file from Printables at:

Easy Build DIY Wall Mounted Bike Rack
Просмотров 1,9 тыс.11 месяцев назад
In this video I show how to easily build a wall mounted bicycle rack. For this you need 2 wire coat hangers, 4 pieces of wood and a few screws. I've built many bike racks and settled on this design as the simplest and best for racking my bikes. Racking on the wall uses less floor space and you can stagger heights so the handlebars don't clash and you can pack more bikes into your garage or wher...
Voron 0.1 X Axis - Dual MGN7 Linear Rails
Просмотров 86811 месяцев назад
In this video I show how and why I added another MGN7 linear rail to the X axis of my Voron 0.1 3D printer. My Voron 0.1 developed play in the X axis linear rail and the print quality started to get worse. So I replace the linear rail with a new one and all was good till the play slowly crept back in again. The dual linear rail setup is super rigid and really reduces the cantilever leverage on ...
Easy way to model soldering iron holder for a Heat Set Insert Press in Fusion 360 using a Canvas

This is an extra video for the heat set insert press I designed and posted on Printables www.printables.com/model/256418-heat-set-insert-press/files This is a simpler way to create a holder using a photo of your soldering iron and modelling around that profile using a Canvas in Fusion 360. The example Fusion 360 design I create in the video has been added to the Printables post.
Replacing Mountain Bike Suspension Bearings with 3D Printed Tools
Просмотров 361Год назад
In this video I replace the 6 pairs of bearings in my mountain bike suspension. You can buy the specialised tools to do this but I wanted to see if it was possible using my own 3D printed tools. The rear suspension triangle started to have a lot of 'play' in it, so it was time to replace the bearings. The STL files for the tools I printed are on Printables. www.printables.com/model/632999-repla...

Speed up manual filament feed on the Sovol SV06 3D printers extruder with an old style hand crank. When purging the previous filament from the extruder it can be bit slow with the wheel, so here's a speedier old school with a hand crank. 3D Print STLs are on Printables www.printables.com/model/502683-sovol-sv06-extruder-wheel-crank-handle
Lubricating Linear Rails
Просмотров 3,6 тыс.Год назад
A quick tip on how you can lubricate linear rails. This video shows how you can do it using a blunt elbow needle and syringe. The elbow needle makes it easy to access the linear rail carriages when they're stalled on your 3D printer or CNC machine. I purchased the blunt elbow needles on AliExpress at this link www.aliexpress.com/item/1005003849623711.html And the 1 millilitre syringes also on A...
DIY Ventilation for 3D Printer Enclosure
Просмотров 40 тыс.Год назад
I set about building an extraction fan for my 3D printer enclosure as I do a lot of 3D printing and prototyping on my Voron 0.1 that sits next to me and it gets a bit stinky sometimes. I had 2 attempts at this build so I'll run through what I learnt along the way. Target your brims when 3D printing for less post processing work and cleaner prints
Просмотров 1,7 тыс.Год назад
3D Printing brims are good for making sure objects stay stuck to the bed and don't warp, especially when there's a very small contact area or you're printing with certain materials like ABS. But their downside is the time spent post processing afterwards to remove them, and it can affect the finish of the object. So a better approach is to design them in CAD and minimise how much brim you actua...
Remote controlled 3D Printer Lights using Octolight plugin for Octoprint

DIY 3D Printer filament storage vacuum pump

I've been using vacuum bags for a few years to store 3D printing filament and protect it from moisture. Some people use dehydrators and other dryers to store filament. I really like Airlock vacuum bags, they're pretty tough and last a long time. I started using vacuum bags with a manual pump but its hard work. The Airlock electric pump is really good but it'd would be awesome if it was faster. ...
3D Printer Filament Respooler

In this video I'm going to build a 3D printer filament spooling machine. There was a shortage of white PLA filament recently so you could only buy 3 kilo spools. I figured it'd be a fun project to build a machine to respool onto smaller spools, so here we go ! Learnt heaps from this build, aiming to build the bigger and better version next. 3D Printed Old Fashioned Lock and Key
Mine does not hit the triggers on the left(X-axis), and the bed makes a loud noise moving. someone knows what could be?
Good day, Maker Mike. Loved the video. Could you steer me in the correct direction to find the tool you used for sanding the base boards, pls.
Hi, the tool is included in with the baseboard STL files in my Etsy shop here www.etsy.com/listing/1569112193/miniature-baseboard-skirting-board-and
Anyone interested in more info on the VOCs that are emitted by 3D printers may want to read this study by The Georgia Institute of Technology, "Characterization of Volatile Organic Compound Emissions from Consumer Level Material 3D Printers and Their Relationship with Particle Emissions". On second thought, you may not want to. 😳
I replaced so much COMPONENTS!!! It was only the bl touch connector that loosen a little bit. Thank you so MUCH!!!
Hell yeah, you have saved my life, I thought the problem was the mother board.😅
Nice :-)
what did you print it out of
I used PLA and PETG but as time has passed I think PETG retains its 'grip' better than PLA.
Do you think the airflow generated by the fan that exhausts air outside could affect print quality? Second question: Is an exhaust fan enough, or is a small intake fan also necessary to bring air into the enclosure?"
The PC fan is plenty powerful enough to circulate air through the enclosure. As for print quality, I think the extra airflow and cooling helps PLA printing. But other materials like ABS don't need the ventilation till after the print when it's good to flush the fumes out.
fixed by unplugging and plugging it back in for me, i guess ender 3s exist to cause anxiety
YOU CAN 3D PRINT CROCHET HOOKS?!?!
Great video, nice simple straightforward to the point. Love it
The connecting bits that you printed yourself would look so awesome in something like actual diecast or spun aluminium, especially if poweder-coated in some color, like a glossy shiny red. Then, have a black hose :D
Muito Obrigado, estava perdido, pensando até em desistir, ja tinha desmontado de tudo, mas era simplesmente o sensor do auto nivelamento que estava agarrado, like like like
I saw 45 seconds. you holded longer when no air was there
Saved me so much time! Just a loose connection for me.
My printer is also near my window, if i make a ventilation and it goes out the window do i have to make sure the rest of the window is close so wind doesnt push it back in? Cause its kinda hot so i want to open the windows.
Probably different for all houses. It's probably best to just see which way the air is flowing when the windows open. If it's flowing inwards it may well blow back in.
@@MakerMike54 thanks will keep in mind
Your video was so helpful. When i was install and running my cables for the CR touch, i had thought i scraped the wire and just taped it up. then i started having the issues you were having.. So i first thought it was software issue, but i download my software specific to an Ender 3 with BLtouch. So while looking sta other reasons, i found your video and tested my wires. Sure enough, it was the scraped wire. I Fixed it and it is working . So now started on the new print head replacement. Thanks again for your video'.
Thanks. I tried it with a regular vacuum but that didn't work, had no idea if the valve was somehow special. Thanks your video I knew it's not, tried again and eventually it worked.
What takes longer to pump the air out, the hand driven pump or the electric pump?
Hand pump is definitely longer
I had this exact same issue and found that my cable was faulty, and everything worked after installing a new cable. Thank you so much for this video!
THANKS MEN, 5 HOURS
Being a Fusion newbie, this canvas function has opened up a whole new world!! This vid is a 2 for 1...Cheers!
Can you explain to me or refer something explaining what is happening at 2:00?
I think fans or propellers don't just push air away in a single perpendicular direction as we assume they do. Fans also spin the air, and the centrifugal force carries the air away sideways. So the air flow straight out of the fan is quite chaotic. Adding Nesto's ducting, guides the moving air so it travels directly away from the fan as we want it to.
@@MakerMike54 thanks for the explanation. are you reffering to the stator of "cheater" fan designed by nesto in fan showdown?
@@yanhesapmustafa2588 Yeah that's the one.
Thank you so much for this. I have a Longer LK4X with a similar leveling sensor, and I was having the same exact issue. Was pulling my hair out wondering what the issue was, reconnecting the cables for the motors and stuff. It never occurred to me to check the leveling sensor cable. Sure enough, it had come loose. Big thanks again.
The maintenance what's gets me, but thanks for showing us.
Disconnecting the cable and reconnecting fixed my issue
Can you power the led lights directly from the pi's 5v pins?
Hello bro, I got ender 3 s1 and same problem.I changed this wire but I have a problem still. What can I do anything else? Nobody knows that problem help pls.
SOLVED!! It's been a while since this was posted, but I was able to solve the problem. Despite many comments, firmware is not your issue here. One of the wires that pushes into the BL touch connected was ever so slightly pushed out. All I needed to do was push it back in. Problem solved!
Tank you😊
Do you have the Fan Diffuser step file? Looking to modify it for a 92mm size fan.
I've added the step file and Fusion 360 file for the diffuser to the Printables post www.printables.com/model/544950-diy-ventilation-for-3d-printer-enclosure
sex aid?
What filament are you using? Will the cooler chamber and flow affect ABS printing?
Yeah you don't want to be ventilating for ABS unless you have temperature regulation. So only really print with PLA & PETG.
Thank you so much!!
Are you using seiko rolling air pumps in reverse or using the inlet valve to generate suction? Also, would it be possible to get an stl or 3mf so I can try it with a single one?
They're specific vacuum pumps. I don't think air pumps can generate enough negative static pressure. The STLs are at www.printables.com/model/406913-diy-3d-printer-filament-storage-vacuum-pump
Thank you
Had the same issue: every plug was plugged in therefore I replugged all plugs related to bl touch (motherboard and print head). Worked again - weird
What is that, a rail for ants!?
thank you that helped solved my problem, cr touch lose connection.
Very useful and well done video! Had the same issue [same printer, same auto bed leveling device] very suddenly, from evening to morning: past yesterday I printed smoothly and yesterday, turning on the printer, the CR touch dd not work, with the Z axis moving only manually upwards. The only difference is that in my case, the CR touch is flashing red, the cable was tested ok as well as the probe. Any opinion or advice?
Only other thing I can think of / the only other problem I've had with the CR Touch was the probe getting bent. Somehow the probe collided with something and the aluminium rod got slightly bent which stopped it extending. Had to open it up and straighten the rod. Easy to check if its bent, just pull the rod down with your fingers and check it moves freely and pops back up again.
Thanks for this tutorial Maker Mike! Question from a pcb noob. I realize now that I have 12v led strips in my Prusa light bars. Is there a way to add something to this setup to run 12v or do I need to replace my strips with 5v LED? Thanks in advance!
You can power 12v led to 12v power and connect it to relay. Data side of relay works fine with 5v
@@shoppygadgets What would the wiring be? I appreciate the help.
Nice, but how do I remove the plastic disks out of the screw holes?
Thank you this was extremely helpful.
I had a loose plug, but this helped me figure it out quick, thank you.
Hours. I spent HOURS trying every single firmware I could get my hands on. They all either didn't have the leveling function, were in Chinese, or had this same Z-axis issue. Thank you soooooooo much
It is a firmware issue 100%. If you don't have the auto leveling capability then you need to avoid using the firmware that is specific to the auto leveling hardware.
How many balls should the slider contain? Is there a number for mgn12’s?
Can't answer that one. But I suspect it may be brand specific and the guidance may be more around how much of a gap should be left in the ball row.
I discovered this solution recently. The nickel plated, copper nozzles for my Phaetus hotend are quite expensive so I don't really want to replace them too often. Now I burn them with propane torch to the point where they are glowing red. It works really well and it's super fast.
Awesome project .. the lid indeed is a bit cramped.. could you adjust it a bit sothat the three holes for the wires coming into the pump are a bit larger and the height of the lid be extended to f.i. 1 cm instead of the 6 mm it is currently ??
Yeah can do. What diameter do you think the cable holes should be? Currently they are 3.4mm.
cable thickness of usb cables is 4mm, so it's not a lot bigger but will make a whole lot of difference in putting and clamping them in. so if holes for usb cables could be changed to, let's say, 4,1 mm, that would be great ..
Ok, have updated STL files. Thanks for the good suggestions!
thanks a million .. will print today ..
Thanks for doing this and for showing how to find the files.
