CUSTOM PLATE BOAT BUILD SERIES - EP 2 (FAB/HOTWORKS)
In this episode we get well and truly stuck into the fab side of the build. After sitting down with Jacko in the last episode to plan out our ultimate little touring platey, we open the kit and Jacko and the boys at Mezcal Fabrication get stuck into prepping, cleaning, folding and welding. We couldn’t believe how quick the boys pulled this together. We go over a few more custom parts and idea’s as the build approaches the end of hotworks. The plan after this episode is a few finishing touches including console, bait board and casting cages etc then a full fit out and a ‘Mezzy Sled’ custom trailer to sit this thing on. Come along for the ride!

It’s definitely the way to go man. Pretty cool watching your vision materialise in front of you! We changed so many things at different stages through the build that we wouldn’t have otherwise thought about. Ending up with a pretty well thought out product 🤙🏼

Great vid. Did u get a gvm upgrade? You’d be close to max gvm when towing that boat.
No GVM upgrade. I’m very very close to GVM with the canopy loaded, tent on, and boat in tow. It weighs in just under when fully loaded, water, fuel and passenger.

Been there and done it mate, not interested. Dmax runs rings around an old cruiser in every way except for hard wheeling ability which isn’t the point of this build.
@@_Less_Ordinary_ It will run rings around a V8 mate but not an FTE 😂
You can get a lock up kit these days mate will help with towing
Yeah I’ve read a fair bit about the kits that ECU Shop supplies, since shooting this video I’ve had the trans cooler and valve body upgrade done. Made a difference, the lock up kit might be the cherry on top though. 👌🏼
