Bermuda Transport Methods From the Cruise Port (to Horseshoe Bay and Hamilton)
Greetings from beautiful Bermuda! We have ported at the Royal Naval Dockyard overnight and I am here to give you some brief information regarding how to get around this island. There is the metro bus, shared mini-bus, water taxi, commercial taxis, and motorbike rentals. Since we were docked overnight and we wanted to travel on our schedule, we rented a motorbike. The cost was about $15 more than two days of bus and ferry passes for Alex and me. Having the freedom of movement was well worth the few extra dollars! Just did the train from Civitavecchia to airport after a Royal Caribbean cruise. Man, people need to learn how to identify what train they are supposed to be on. So many people blindly boarded the train to Termini without realizing they were on a seat-reservation-only train. It was a mess.

Thanks for the review and warning about this room. We received room 3650 as a RoyalUp upgrade from the interior room we had booked for our cruise that ended today. I too would not recommend this room for light sleepers, but we slept fine, maybe because we knew what to expect thanks to your video. Overall, we enjoyed the room, especially the beautiful ocean view.
Did this room have Pullman’s for the 3 &4 person?

How was the Wi-Fi?
To be honest, the ship has the Starling network and modem, but the infrastructure is from the old system and it was very poor. At times we could not even use the RCCL app! Everything else was fine with the ship.

Just a quick note to say you can't really get olives right off the tree. They are impossible to eat directly, there is a whole process to get them to the "fresh" state in that salad

I was told you had to get off at Trastavere station, change platforms to catch a connection to Civitaveccia.
Hello. That is one option. It depends on the train schedule, your bookings, and the train company for that specific time. If you take the Leonardo Express and/or the Frecciarossa (fast trains), you must change in Termini. If you take the 2nd-class commuter trains, you can either change trains in Trastavere, Ostiense, or Termini for both directions when going from Fiumicino to Civitavecchia. If the schedule works, we prefer the fast trains and pay the few extra Euro for 1st class cars and assigned seating. Why not? Happy traveling and thanks for your post!
By far the best video that walks me through the process of purchasing the ticket to catching the first train and then the transfer to Civtiaveccchia. I'll be flying into FCO with my mom for the first time to catch our cruise in a few months and the train option is the most cost effective way to get to our hotel in Civitavecchia. Different countries have different protocols. Most EU countries do not require immigration. The UK should be no issue since your previous stop is most likely a UK port. Happy Cruising! 🤙🏼🍻🛳️

I just spent a month visiting here and have walked all over. I am sad to leave. The people are friendly and helpful. The waterfront is so pretty! It’s a wonderful city with great shopping and restaurants. It’s right at the gateway to the Amalfi Coast.

It was not as bad as being all the way foreword on the ship, but being a small ship, you felt the motion of the ocean more than. in an Oasis-class ship. I would book it again since it was such a great value.
What a great, spacious, lovely mini suite !!! Far nicer and spacious than other line's mini's. Your narration and your son's antics were great and his adorable 🙂 Also thanks for letting us know about the foot traffic and alternate areas to enjoy a quieter mini. I'd rather have foot traffic zoom by our door vs. sound traveling from adjacent balconies or through walls/ceilings. How quiet was your mini from that perspective ? I'm going on this ship mainly because it's 500 per person I'd love to go on the icon but at almost 5k per person I just can't afford that I think I will to enjoy this ship
It does not have the massive number of amenities of the Icon or Oasis, but we still enjoy the small ships. I doubt you will be disappointed.
Was on the Rhapsody of the seas in 2020 for a 7-Day Cruise 2 3/4 in Mexico and one to the Roatan in the Honduras it was wonderful

I know non-suite guest rooms are only serviced one time a day, but did they make up and turn down the sofa bed? I prefer morning clean with bed turned back into sofa, but a turn down at night? I don't expect another clean, just a quick turndown of the sofa into a bed.
Correct, standard rooms receive one service a day. We have our room serviced in the afternoon due to my gym schedule being while Alex is in Adventure Ocean and allows me to clean up prior to early MDR dining time. Yes, your stateroom attendant will turn the couch back to a bed if you unmake the bed after use. The back cushions are stored by the balcony door so you are able to place the backs against the wall and just unmake the sofa bed while storing the linens in the overhead storage bins. With one daily service, this is the way to do it. Happy cruising!
Did you at anytime feel unsafe in that boat? I would be so worried about my kid flying off the boat into a gator's mouth😂 Looks like fun! Anything else worth seeing out there?
We felt safe, they did a great job with the tour. ON the way to the alligator farm, there is a big fruit stand that was a great tourist attraction.
