When Gibson sends their bodies and their next they actually put them in a vice and send them. That would be the best way and they usually have rubber on the vise that actually covered the teeth of the device so it doesn't Mar the finish but as an extra precaution you could put like material between the rubber and the body.

The 1.step: Body and neck glue! The 2. step: painting and polishing you wellcome!

How did you make sure the edge of the guitar wasn't painted red and the edge was smooth?

Great video! I just finished my Les Paul project a week ago. The top was a flamed maple, so I just couldn't paint it. Did a moca burst finish. Put some EMG Hetfield pickups in it and Grover tuners. Where did your customer get the kit from? Got mine from Stewmac. Get kits and great customer service. Once again, great video!

If you are wondering why you only have a few viewers it's because people don't want to watch you sand the guitar and all that crap just film the important stuff maybe you will start getting some real subscribers

Now I see!he never gave this guitar a finish, only a sealer coat.. it must now look horrible by the time I saw his video! No protection at all. Just enough to raise the grain, but did even sand it after.. He missed the opportunity to make it a masterpiece!

Even an experienced person will have a depth mark on the drill bit! Never trust your eye. EVER!! I personally use an awl to mark my drill points and then remove the pickups and drill with a bit I marked with tape to be 100% positive I NEVER DRILL TO DEEP!

I see so many of my first wood finishing mistakes before the old guys showed me how I was so often working 1 step forward and two steps back..

Don’t understand why you added the electronics before doing the finish? The last thing I want is my finish getting in my pots or pickups.

Copper tape is awesome… anyone who skips this step needs to go back and do it again if they want the cleanest sounding electric guitar. I do this even on store bought guitars…

I am doing almost this exact kit, but purple and blue, so I will use gold, but different hardware…

I don’t glue the neck until after I put on the finish, as I gloss the body and headstock and satin the neck..not to mention any glue squeezing will just easily wipe away.

I like finishing the back of mine the same as the front, yes the color will be a bit off on the side’s because of a different wool, but I personally like it better that way.

Nice job, did you notice that the pickup frames are not on the right side? Front -back / back - front.

Was the shape of the headstock at that time identical to the one on the homepage? Today it looks not like the „open Book“ headstock.
