I just gave my 6lb adult blackrock hen Zemectin 1.87% paste about the size of a pea.She's started wheezing as signs of gapeworm.I hope I didn't just kill my girl.Can anyone respond asap that knows if I did the right thing or not?She's eating well and I didn't even notice til today when i seen her shaking her head sneezing.I picked her up and she was wheezing for sure.Thanks in advance.Im very worried.

A pea amount is way too much. You only need 1mg per kg so that 25grams of paste can treat 918 standard-size birds. There is 100mg per g of paste where you'll use around 2.5mg per bird. & it's 5 consecutive days of treatment.

I mix my dewormer in a little pile of boiled rice and give it to the hen. I isolate her so no one is trying to steal her dose. It's so much less stressful...ON ME! 🤣
